Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This response does not explain why they broke into my car, or why they banged on my door at all hours, called my job and almost cost me my job. They did not explain of how that there was never "additional payments". There never was. The bank said that there was no need for the price of my car to go up. They also said that even after I was forced to sign the new document that the loan wasn't funded until I paid them more money. I have not even received my registration.
They gave me 2-3 explanation as to why the contract had to change. Even telling me that I had 23-27 lease payments. They also said that the price would go up by $320 to $700 dollars. I do not understand why they are saying those things. They also didn't tell you that I talked to them multiple times, and one last I was yelled at in front of one of their workers (on the phone).I am scared now that everytime I go outside my car is going to be taken from me. They even at one point said that they wanted to send a MAN to my house to force me to sign. The same man who yelled at me through the phone. This isn't limited to this situation. There are others out there that Romeo has done this to. Not to mention what other banks have said about these people. I deserve to be compensated for being harassed, and scared out of my mind for this abuse.

We have four documents (purchase order, incentive acknowledgment form, bill of sale, and bank contract) that all very clearly spell out the terms of our deal. In this statement the customer...

states we sold the vehicle for $23000. We sold the vehicle for $15835 after rebates. As far as a $5000 discount, all our records even the worksheets and approvals state $15835 for the selling price.

I recently purchased a use truck from Romeo Chevrolet first my email contact then going to their business to finalize the trade/purchase. They agreed to finalize the paperwork and bring the truck and paperwork to my home for the final transaction. I was never given any copies of what I signed, on top of that I found out the bank they used is not placed on the title as a lien holder. I called the finance person numerous times but only got voice mail I've emailed my concerns may times. But I have NOT received any call back or return email offering any clarity. I would recommend that no one purchases a vehicle from them unless deperate

Review: I went to romeo chevy to look at a used truck that I had seen on their website. I talked to a sales man and he said it must have sold, but we agreed to run my credit and see what they could do for me. I was told a lease was what they could get me in. I first looked at a 2014 single cab chevy Silverado that was 2wd. I asked what would the monthly payments would be and was shown a paper saying around $512. I said that was to high and I wanted to be in the three to four hundred dollar amount for a payment. Next I looked at a 2014 Silverado double cab cause they said it had more rebates. I liked it and said run the numbers and see if the numbers work. I was told they could lease it to me for $388 a month and 10,000 miles a year. I was happy with that and agreed to that,so I left a $100 deposit on the truck. They gave me a paper with a few things that I need to take care of like insurance cards and license plates if I was transferring them. It also showed that I need to bring the rest of the down payment and the first months payment, which I was good with. When I had shown up three days later to pick up my truck, the salesman said we had to wait for the financial guy to get all the papers signed butin the mean time we would go out and go over the truck. We went over the truck and set up my On star account in which I had to pay $13.90 for mins.on the phone. When I went to sign papers and pay the monies that when I found out that they were trying to sell me the truck for something like $635 a month for 84 months. I said that is not what I agreed to and got up and walked out.I feel this was very dishonest .Desired Settlement: I want my deposit back

Review: I went to Romeo Buick, Chevy in [redacted] to buy my car. It was a huge credible looking dealership. They were pushy, and a little aggressive, but I needed a car asap.

I didn't trade my Honda in because it was the last thing my father helped me get. Even though he and I didn't have the best relationship, it is still sentimental to me. Sorry for that anecdote.

Well, I drove the car off of the lot, and got home. I was so excited! My very first new car ever in my life! 2016 Trax!

Then the problems! I got a call asking me to go over the contract that I had signed. I was told that the office had made a typo of some sort and I needed to resign the contract. They sent the sales woman to my home, right before I was off to work (I work between 8-11 hours a day, sometimes 6 days a week. I am a proud blue collar worker). I looked at the contract and they had changed the amount owed and the amount financed - to a higher amount. The sales woman acted like it was an oversight, and went back to the dealership.

I was doing dishes, the same morning, (I work second shift) and I get a call from the dealership. They were accusing me of not wanting to sign the contract. I explained the situation to the manage on the phone, and he said he would talk to the sales woman.

The sales woman told me that she thought that the dealership was lying to me - this via text message. I can provide you with them. She told me that she will get back to me.

The very next day - today - I wake up to a text message from her... I went into your car and put the new contract on your front seat. - WHOA!

They sent someone to my car and they opened my car up, and put the new contract on the front seat!!! I FEEL SO VIOLATED!

Not to mention - They called my job to tell me how important it is for me to sign this contract.

I am so terrified now of the dealership. They sent people to my car and violated my privacy. They could have taken anything in there... And then they called my place of employment...

2/*/2016 I get multiple calls, including a voicemail saying that they are going to take the car away from me. I have a signed contract. I don't understand what the issue is.

The new contract even has me putting a down payment. We agreed that there would be no down payment. Everything about the contract has changed. I do not understand what the issue is. Please help me!Desired Settlement: I want to original signed contract is enforced. That's all.

Response:

[redacted] leased a 2016 Trax from Romeo. We typed the contract in error stating she owed an additional 48 payments. [redacted] only owed us 47 more payments, after numerous times trying to explain this to her our manager agreed to stay awake between the hours of 1am and 5am (this was the only time [redacted] could talk). She couldn't make the phone call. We needed her to sign a new contract with only owing 47 more payments not 48. We only wanted to perfect a contract that the bank would fund. The bank would not fund the first contract. We are glad [redacted] talked to the bank to realize her first contract was wrong and she only owed 47 more payments not 48. We are glad we could finally get this loan perfected and [redacted] can start enjoying her Trax.

Review: As incentive to buy the car... I was told that there was a discount of $5000.00 plus $1000.00 in coupons.... and that was never done... (there was a discount of $2500. in coupons that was applied to tax and long term warrantee... but the rest ($3500.00 was never applied (or deducted)... from cost of car.... total amount of car owed in beginning #18000.00). After going to another Chevrolet new car dealer in area.... I was told that $18000.00 is exactly what they would have sold it to me for... that they also did not see any $5,000.00 taken off the top.. and that selling it to me for $23,000.00 would have been overcharging.... so there was no $5,000 off ... as told in beginning... as incentive. Also... I told sales person and [redacted]..I needed to buy a used minivan (which my car is not)... 5 times I told her and the [redacted]... but they said the down payment would be in the thousands... so I ended up getting this car... for a lower down payment... was able to get a used mini-van the next week.from another car dealer) for $0.00 down.... I felt like I was pushed into buying this sedan.. because I didn't have a car but needed a minivn) just so they could get rid of the 2013 Sonic... due to their neglect to honor their word (re: $5000.00 off the sales price)... I am having a hardship now... with both cars. I'm unable to sell the new car.. due to instant depreciation after (negative balance due even if I get $12,000 from another Chevy dealer... still owe $6000.00 to get title released...or $4,000 if I do a private sale... )....Thank you for your review of this... and your consideration.Desired Settlement: The total they said that would be taken off the gross amount of the car... was $6,000. ($5,000.00 off sales price.. and $1,000 in coupons)... what they actually took off was $2500 in coupons... leaving the balance deducted promised as $3,500.00. If they are to honor that promise.. in the form of a check to me... I will sell the in private sale (or another Chevy dealer after applying for a personal loan to help cover the negative balance to bank.... to release the title).... thank you very much.

Review: I purchased a car from Romeo. The sales person was very consistent in contacting me during the presale. The seller told me that the car was owned by a single local owner. Under my own discretion I purchased a [redacted] report and found the car indeed had 4 owners. I had them research the maintenance records of the car, and the sales man insisted that the car was gone through by their team and that everything is in great working order. I told the sales man that I would like an [redacted] to look at it, and made an appointment. Before the appointment could occur, from what I was told a Romeo tech "sprayed beneath the hood and caused a coil to fail." I think this is an indication that Romeo technicians did not know the proper workings of the car. After they "replaced" the coil, I ended up taking the car to the [redacted], and from a brief inspection, the [redacted] wrote a report saying that the serpentine belt would need to be replaced, and due to the nature of the car it is an expensive procedure. Romeo agreed that since the warranty that I'd be purchasing would not cover the belt as it is a "normal wear and tear item" that they would discount the belt, and they would cover the labor affiliated with replacing it. I agreed, ultimately I purchased the car.

Less than 2 weeks (1 tank of gas) later, the car check engine light came on and the car began to misfire and shake badly. I called an Romeo and they asked me to drive it to them to diagnose. Skeptical that Romeo knew the car, I contacted the [redacted] and they told me that under no circumstances should I drive the car in that state, because it could cause severe damage to the car. On my own expense, I towed the car to the [redacted], approximately 10 miles away. The [redacted], who specializes specifically in this brand of car, diagnosed a coil had gone bad, and that if Romeo had one fail and a second one just failed, that every brand dealer of this make of car would strongly suggest replaceing all of the coils. One would think that after Romeo "sprayed under the hood" and self proclaimingly caused a coil to fail, that they would indeed check the rest of them if the car has been "gone through". Under my discretion, I had the [redacted] replace all of the coils and the affiliated plugs. In replacing these coils and plugs, the [redacted] discovered that 2 of the coils and 2 of the injectors were not the correct parts for the specific motor of the car. After leaving several messages regarding the bill that I expected to be covered on a car that wasn't even in my possession for 2 weeks, had to physically drive to Romeo with the receipts in hand and drop them off to get a response. I was told someone would call me soon after to address the bills. After not receiving a call for 2 days, I eventually got in contact with a service individual who told me that they had already come to a settled amount and wrote a check for approximately half of what the bills were. I was told that this car was "good to go", one would assume that it was tuned up, basic maintenance done and checked, etc. Also, after pressure washing an engine bay that induced a coil going back, one would assume that they would check the others to make sure that they didn't damage those. If they did, would have noticed 2 incorrect coils, 2 incorrect injectors. Due to Romeo's clear lack of understanding of the technicalities of this make and model vehicle, I think my towing to a [redacted] and disapproval of their service capabilities is justified. In addressing this concern, I spoke with a Romeo representative and explained that these things were wrong,a [redacted] said all of the coils and injectors should be replaced, I haven't even had the car for 2 weeks, these parts aren't covered under warranty, they said they "checked the car over" and that it was all good, but clearly it wasn't, I couldn't get a hold of anyone for a few days when I had a problem, and I am displeased with the service. I also explained that I'd prefer that the [redacted], the person who pointed out that the wrong coils and injectors (most likely installed by Romeo), do the work as that is their proficiency and clearly I am not having an easy time with Romeo's service department. Romeo explained that they would not pay the remaining half of the coil/injector balance, would not cover the tow fee, and would only cover the serpentine belt labor if I bring it to their technicians. After having incorrect parts installed, only having half the bill of repairs on a car that I've owned less than 2 weeks, and the level of customer service that had come with that, I would prefer that someone other than them do service on the car. The buying experience was smooth, the employees were courteous, ultra consistent, etc. When the problem arose with the car and it came time to stand by the car they sold as a dealer, they were/continue to be very unprofessional.Desired Settlement: Romeo should be responsible for:

1. The cost affiliated with towing the car to the [redacted]

2. The entirety of the bill affiliated with coils/injectors

3. Cover the labor affiliated with the [redacted] replacing the Serp belt.

Note: I have not cashed the half refund check that Romeo provided yet.

I WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH [redacted] TO RECTIFY THIS SITUATION. ROMEO CHEVROLET BUICK GMC WILL WORK OUT A DEAL FOR [redacted]

Review: I live 300 miles from this dealer so to have them repair the car I just bought from them under warranty meant a 600 mile round trip if not more. They knew where I lived before the car was purchased and didn't make the needed repairs, instead they sold it with problems. For example, a sunvisor was in a box in the trunk to replace a defective one but was never installed, I had to do this. A defective shifter had to be replaced and I was promised reimbersement for repairs done to this car at a local dealership for a total of $526.19, I have given up trying to be reimbersed for the other $500 in repairs to correct a lane departure camera. The so called operations manager hung up on me twice and was difficult to understand.Desired Settlement: A refund check for $526.19, I don't want to talk to anyone else at that dealer.
