I talked to [redacted] today and found out what happened. She tried to place an order with romeos pizza online, but her card gave a bad cvv error. She tried this a total of 6 times and tried again by calling the store. Because of the type of card she has it places each transaction amount on hold whether...

or not the transaction goes through. The transaction should have never been charged to the card because it came up with an error code.I told her I would call her bank and try to straighten it out by calling Citibank on three way but citi bank was being very difficult and said they have a 7 day hold policy on the account that they have. And told me it was their policy to hold the transaction amount to see if funds were available.They said I could write a letter requesting it be released earlier. And I did. I emailed a copy of the letter to [redacted]. There is nothing I can do because the card gave an error code and the customer tried multiple times to process it online and citi bank will not release funds because their policy is to hold the funds for 7 days.

long it takes. I voided the transaction on a Tuesday and Saturday it fell off my account. The customer in question also had a voided transaction on a Tuesday, but Friday he harassed management and even received a call from the owner of the company, which he chose to disregard any information provided to him. The information he was told was accurate. All we can do at the Retail level is void the transaction. After that it is not up to us when the bank decides to remove the pending charge to his account. The pending transaction more than likely fell off his account one day after he submitted his complaint to the Revdex.com. He was told 7-9 days on the phone when the transaction was voided, he waited 4. The transaction has to go through the credit card processor, to the bank, and then back to his account. This is not an overnight process. The pending transaction has definitely been removed from his account by now.
An apology from him to the management would be appreciated but not expected. Nobody should conduct themselves the way he did.
