I had this Contractor put a Roof on back in 2009 and for the Last couple of years the Roof has leaked. The Contractor has been back multiple Times and did not do the Job intially correctly. Contractor instead of removing the Siding that was above the Addition that was on the House along with putting Ice and Water Paper down underneath the Siding and the New Roof, he instead had placed Metal Flashing OVER the Siding and Screwed the Flashing into the Siding. The Roof has leaked the Last 2 Winters and despite him coming back and attempting to Fix it, it still leaks. The 4th Time he had come back he placed additional metal flashing above the Intial Flashing and also screwed that into the Siding. The Roof still leaks and I WILL NOT have him come back bacause he is NOT fixing the problem. Also the Contractor had put "tar" in the corner of the Roof to make a seal which from Other Contractors have told me should NOT have been Done. The job looks sloppy, and unprofessional at best.Product_Or_Service: Roof Replaced Desired SettlementCurrently am gathering 3 Quotes from Different Contractors to have the Siding has to be removed and replaced. Flashing has to be Removed, and Ice and water Paper has to be placed down, Metal flashing also has to be replaced as there is Tar all over it. So therefore the Siding has to be removed, and replaced, the Metal trim has to be replaced and the metal Flashing will have to be removed and replaced with new metal flashing along with Ice and water Paper/Barrier. Consumer's Final Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The Flashing as attached to the Siding with Screws, and there as NO Ice/Water Barrier Paper that was placed Beneath/Under The Siding. The issue(s) was that the Job was NOT done Properly, [redacted] admitted to me in person that he had cut corners (Was in a hurry) to do the job. [redacted] also has been back 3 Times this Past winter and had placed MORE/Additional Metal Flashing above and again Screwed the Flashing into the Siding, This has NOT solved the issue. At this time, I have no confidence in [redacted] fixing this problem becuase the Leak still occurs. The issue continues to be a problem and Feel that this Contractor has NOT fixed it, The contractor has just put a band-aid on the Problem. I have obtained 2 Estimates to have the Job Done Properly and the lowest Bid that I have is in the Amount of $ 1,050.00 At this time, would like to have another Contractor Fix the problem as [redacted] had continued to just put a Band-Aid on the Issue/problem. So therefore am requesting that [redacted] refund my Money in the Amount of $ 1,050.00 so I may have the problem fixed Properly. Thank youRespectfully Submitted[redacted]
