Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:Years in business has no relevance to resolving this issue My wife did not go downstairs to inspect that unit as fumes were affecting her from aerosol paint used one on of the units In fact, both her and our kids stayed with family Logs being wrong was pointed out, yes, but it is not reasonable to connect that to broken glass that was fine for years in the home prior to service If unit is old and not worth servicing, why did you service it? I paid you dollars, you cashed my check, I called you within hours the very next day Ron came out and told my wife it would be made right after seeing the crack years in business I would expect you to WANT to make it right Even if it broke after service and overnight somehow, it happened as a result of your service I want, at minimum, dollars (cost to service THAT fireplace) back Sincerely, Scott S***

I am rejecting this response because:$or I will strongly consider taking this case to court. I will also make a point to share your lack of service or care more publicly which as an operator of a business myself I have made a point of not doing so up to this point. You are not reasonable or rational in your responses. Mail me a check for $or just be direct in telling me you choose to go back on the word Ron gave to my wife when he came back out to see the crack caused as a result of service. I am done with the back and fourth.
Sincerely,
Scott S***

In response to MrShaw's rejection It is relevant to how many years a business has been in businessWe could not stay in business for over years if we did not do good workYou are claiming we broke the glass on your stove and our technician states he absolutley did not put broken glass on you stove! Gaberial shows all homeowners his work before he leave your homeThe fumes that your wife smelled was a small amount of paint that he use to touch up the inside of the firebox covering any rust or discolorationHe pointed out the wrong logs because if the wrong logs are in a unit it can cause impingement which will distribute soot or discolor the glass causing stress and weaknessMrShaw pointed out it was fine for years but apparently it was not taken care ofWhen purchaseing a home/ car / boat we accumulate all that goes with it. MrShaw asked why we serviced an old unit ? We have serviced units older than his but in much better shape as they have been serviced on an annual basis We dont know the condition until we get into itIt is like a car, unit the mechanic gets into the car he doesnt know the whole condition, but you still pay the mechanic ! MrShaw mentioned that it may have broke after the service or overnight, but it was not broken when our technician was there

I have mailed a check for $ 200.00 to your home. I will still confirm that the glass was NOT broken by our service technician. To avoid any more correspondence,  this is done.  Ron M[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:1. Years in business has no relevance to resolving this issue.  2. My wife did not go downstairs to inspect that unit as fumes were affecting her from aerosol paint used one on of the units.  In fact, both her and our kids stayed with family.  Logs being wrong was pointed out, yes, but it is not reasonable to connect that to broken glass that was fine for 16 years in the home prior to service.  3.  If unit is old and not worth servicing, why did you service it?   I paid you 400 dollars, you cashed my check, I called you within 16 hours the very next day.  Ron came out and told my wife it would be made right after seeing the crack.   30 years in business I would expect you to WANT to make it right.   Even if it broke after service and overnight somehow, it happened as a result of your service.   I want, at minimum, 200 dollars (cost to service THAT fireplace) back.
Sincerely,
Scott S[redacted]

On January 27, 2017 we serviced a ng stove and ng fireplaces for Scott S[redacted]. We have never done work for Mr. S[redacted] before. He was not home at the time of ther service. When we were completed our technician  showed Mrs. Scott  that both fireplaces were done and in working order. Mr. S[redacted]...

said there was a small crack in the glass on the basement unit. Our certified technicain did not note or see any cracks in the glass. When he brought Mrs S[redacted] down to look at the unit, he noted and told her wrong logs were in the unit but nothing about broken glass!  It may have cracked after our thecnician left. The units are approximately 20 years old and were builder grade units. Just the heating and cooling of the units could have caused the glass to crack, but was not cracked when there.  We offered Mr. S[redacted] contractors price for a new unit or a display unit for a discounted price. He would have nothing to do with that offer. Our service department looked into a new glass and was told by our supplier we could not get one. Mr. S[redacted] said he found one at a very inflated price and wants us to pay half which is over $ 500.00. It would not be wise to put a $ 1000.00 in a twenty year old unit. We have expressed to Mr. S[redacted] that our 30 years in business would not allow us to do unsatisfactory work. Our technician even called Mr. S[redacted] and explained the same thing to him.  In 30 years we have hundreds and hundreds of satisfied customers in Spokane and the outlying areas.

They are unreliable, rude, and should be avoided at all costs. Before they would install a gas line for a fire pit and BBQ they required that we go into their store to select a fire pit burner.
We left work early to go and scheduled a date for an appointment. We were told that we could select a final fire pit size 7-10 days before our final installation. When we called to check on the time of our appointment, we were told we must select the fire pit prior to them scheduling us.
We gave them all that they required for a quote, exactly what we had talked about with the salesman in the store. We were told we would be called back. When were heard no reply, we called them again and were told that they were not interested in our business.
The process took more than four weeks of our time and even after we provided them with everything they asked for, they had no real interest in doing the work.

Our furnace went out Christmas Eve early morning 2014! We had our family gathering at our house the next day, some from out of town, including a 6yr old, two 3yr olds, and a 10wk old baby! We called Ron Morris Heating and they were at our house early afternoon. We just had them repair our gas fireplace earlier that month. They were not able to get the new furnace in the house till 8am Monday, 29th, BUT left us with 2 heaters to use. The fireplace kept our main living quarters warm & with additional heaters were very comfortable until Monday. We feel like our angels had us get the fireplace running even though we were not aware that the furnace would die. We are sure that if we did not have the fireplace up and running that Ron Morris Heating would have repaired that and done all they could to keep us warm till Monday. They were very helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company!

They did an amazing job installing our gas fireplace and building a window seat. Both projects look like they were originally built with the house. At the same time we had them put in the air conditioning unit - our house was built with the ductwork and wiring already in place but the Lennex unit had not been installed. They did all this for the same price that [redacted]wanted just for the air conditioner. Nice people and we would use them again.

Our air conditioner, at 13 years, literally vibrated itself into failure by wearing a hole in the condenser coils. This was a well known unit installed originally by [redacted]. This happened, of course, at one of the hottest weeks of summer. [redacted] personally came by and offered to replace the whole system with a similar sized (& better service history) system within 2 days - and at a cost less than repairing the original.... This required altering his installation schedule for the week ahead. His crew showed up on time & installed everything in about 5 hrs. A competitor could only offer a similar service to be completed in about 30 days. Excellent service [redacted]! Thank you.

Review: I first was in the fireplace center of Ron Morris Heating in early March. I spoke with [redacted] about the fireplace and my time frame. He stated they could do the fireplace in two weeks but I asked him to wait until spring break (April 1)assomeone needed to be home during installation. I paid my deposit and was told they would contact me within two weeks to set up installation. I never heard anything. After I called Ron did come out on April 12 and told me he would do the installation in one week. Unfortunately it was not possible for me to be home during installation so Ron took pictures and made notes of what I wanted. On April 19, his wife called and stated I had to give her my credit card number in order for him to complete the job. Ron told me if anything was not correct to just call and it would be no big deal to change it. When I arrived home on April 19 I saw the fireplace and instantly realized it was not the way we discussed. I called the office the following week and asked that it be moved and Ron stated he would be over that day. He did not show. I had a framer there to finish the basement and he had to disconnect the ventilation pipe. He was waiting for Ron but could not wait any longer. The pipe was disconnected and the unit turned off. The following day Ron finally showed up. He phoned me and stated it would be easy enough to fix. He said I would have to pay the $40 for the little piece of pipe the framer broke. I was fine with that. His wife called later and said it would be several hours of labor and more money in parts. She wanted my credit card number again. I was unwilling to give it to her as she did not have an estimate and I had already paid $1300 for the installation which was not to my specifications. He has not been out or returned my calls. I now have a non-working fireplace after paying for the unit plus $1300.Desired Settlement: All I want is for him to show up and reconnect the pipe so it can function and pass inspection. I am willing to pay $40 for the piece but no more. I am not willing to keep going through his wife, leaving messages, and never getting anywhere.
