This business response was received by Revdex.com via email and is a copy/paste by Revdex.com staff member **.[redacted] Thank you for informing us of the complaint by [redacted] We just received the letter in the mail. In the complaint Ms. [redacted] described purchasing a vehicle with $500 down and a...

deal was made. A deal was indeed made, however her down payment was not $500, it was $460. Ms. [redacted] signed a form that we have all of customers sign prior to financing a vehicle. That form is a “Conditional Delivery Agreement”. This agreement is an understanding that we will send all her information to the lending institution that has approved her. This institution will do their due diligence checking the accuracy of the information she has provided. If for any reason they find any false information in any of the information provided, the vehicle will need returned immediately and cost will be applied for usage of the vehicle. One of the items needed for this institution was the year end paystub from December, 2017. Ms. [redacted] at the time did not have this information. We allowed Ms. [redacted] to leave in the vehicle, under the understanding what she told us was accurate. However, Ms. [redacted] took over a week to send us this information and when we received the year end paystub, the numbers were shorter than Ms. [redacted] described. This put Ms. [redacted] into a DTI issue(Debt To Income) with the bank. She did not have the sufficient amount of income to sustain the amount of the loan. That is when we asked if there was a co-signer. We are an automotive sales dealership. It is most definitely not in our best interest to ever have a vehicle returned for any reason. We did our best to help Ms. [redacted] retain the vehicle. This conditional delivery agreement clearly states, if any information is false or inaccurate, it could result in you losing your down payment due to mileage added on this vehicle, daily usage. Ms. [redacted] signed this document and was clearly aware of what lying on her application would cost her. Ms. [redacted] requiring a co-signer was not due in part to a mistake on Tradewinds Motor Centers side, but due to Ms. [redacted] providing false information on her application. She did not work as much as she had stated. Furthermore, Ms. [redacted] had a gentleman claiming to be her brother call our store several times and make threatening remarks to our salesmen. We informed him that this attitude will not be tolerated and we now have no intention of trying to work out any sort of settlement with Ms. [redacted]. Her alleged brother became outraged and stated her would enter our dealership and speak with us. Ms. [redacted] did come into the dealership and brought her alleged Brother in with her. Her brother became violent and confrontational. Ms. [redacted] alleged brother attempted to punch the finance manager and had to be escorted out by a Tradewinds Motor Center employee. Ms. [redacted] brother then became very belligerent in the parking lot, screaming out obscenities at our employees. It is our practice to help any and all customers to the best that we can. We may have been willing to come to an agreement, despite the document being signed stating she understood mileage, usage and fees would be charged in the event she falsified her information. This willingness to meet on a common ground ended when her brother clinched his fist and attempted to punch one of our employees. Ms. [redacted] lied on her application, Ms. [redacted] provided false information to secure the vehicle for over a week. Ms. [redacted] owes the dealership for driving our vehicle over a week and putting miles on the vehicle, diminishing its value. When a customer of ours secures a vehicle by providing false information, we view this as theft by deception. Furthermore, we do not tolerate threats to our dealership or employees. Ms. [redacted] is in our view, entitled to nothing. Ms. [redacted] is a very nice, polite young woman. We offer advice that the next time she wishes to do business with a dealership, her alleged brother should remain at home. She may get closer to her goal without threats. If any further questions are needed, please direct them to the office of Tim C[redacted]   Thank you, Timothy C[redacted]General Manager
