Dear ***, I apologize that you did not understand the reasons for your termination at Ronin Training CenterThe new "receptionist" is the Manager at Ronin Training CenterIt was her responsibility to convert all members to a new membership systemTo do so, she needed credit card info to input in the membership system Ronin installedAll members in the old system were no longer activeAfter speaking with Laurah, her response was as followed..."I approached Mr *** outside of his class times and kindly explained the new membership system and what I needed from himHe responded nicely and said he will bring a check on his next visitI then explained that his payments in the old system are made on a credit card and all I need is the credit card he currently uses to update in the new systemHe said he will bring the card with him on his next visitI acceptedThe following week when he returned to Ronin he avoided the front deskBefore leaving Ronin, I approached ***s and ask nicely if he would be able to update the credit card since this was his "next visit"He responded loudly, started calling me racist names and said I reminded him of his ex girlfriend who he hates, and told me to "get out of my face" and used vulgar languageI had no response as I was stunnedHe said he will only communicate through emailSo I walked away and sent this email,["Hello ***I apologize for the inconvenience of our conversation on Tuesday, Nov at 10:30amAll I need from you is to simply convert you to our new systemTo do that I will need your credit card infoThis is the 2nd attempt (1st in person) I have made to clarify this process and make it as easy as possible.Since you do not understand my position at Ronin Training Center, I am Laurah Hand I am Director of OperationsI am at Ronin full time where I oversee and manage all departments from memberships to eventsIf you have any questions/concerns please do not hesitate to ask in a polite respectful manner.Please provide this information at your next visit to Ronin Training Center."]I explained what happened to the OwnerThe Owner explained to me that this was one of many incidents of *** disrespecting the gym and members of the gym since he joined on 06/29/Although this one incident was very disrespectful towards me, it was not the only reason the Owner decided to not allow *** return to the gymThe Owner felt that *** did not follow the code of conduct of the gymWhich is to respect othersAs a Martial Arts and Fitness gym, respect is key to be successfulThe disrespect *** displayed towards me, the gym, and other members/instructors of the gym was not to be toleratedThe Owner called *** and explained this to him. I have not seen or heard from *** since that incident where he verbally abused and disrespected me on 11/22/2016.You are requesting years of membership costs refunded because you did not "finish" [goals?]Firstly, you've been paying membership since 06/29/and was terminated in November which makes it 4yrs and monthsSecondly, memberships at Ronin gives you access to classes/gym which you may or may not attendThe membership does not promise any kind of accomplishment guaranteedSo we did not fail you in any way since as we've been open and offering classes/gym daily since then. However, I am willing to offer something to you ***I am willing to allow you to return to Ronin Training Center at our current rate of $170/month and you follow Ronin's Code of Conduct."I hope we can resolve this and have brighter days ahead of usIf you feel this is not fair, I will ask all witnesses to give their incident reports that they've experienced with you.
