Ronnie's Automotive Service, Inc. Reviews (2)

Review: Last Year May 29, 2012 I purchased a motor and labor from [redacted]'s Automotive Service, Inc. After the company puts in the motor, I and one of their mechanics take it for a test drive. The car had a noticeable miss. The owner [redacted] was aware of this and advised me ([redacted]) to drive the car for a few weeks to see if the miss would stop. After a few days it didn't stop, however the the reverse went out in the transmission then. I called [redacted] to inform him of the transmission going out and he came to check it to see if it was a result of the motor not being hooked up right. That wasn't the isssue so we([redacted] and I) discussed bringing the car in before the warranty ran out on May 29, 2013 and him replacing the defective motor. I continued to drive the car despite the reverse being out and having the noticeable miss which was very bad on my car's gas mileage. After about 500 miles of driving the car no change in the miss, I decided to sit the car until I had time off to get it properly worked on without it affecting my work. That time came in April in which I went to [redacted]'s and brought my receipt and warranty in-one to his business. It was April 19, 2013 and [redacted] and I talked for about 3 minutes and he said that we will work that out. I got sick for about a week and half and return to [redacted]'s the first week of May, we talked again and he stated he would start trying to get the new motor. He contacted the business that he purchased the motor from and stated that they were given him the run around. And that he would call me back. [redacted] also stated that a warranty is a warranty so I was under the impression that he would honor it. He didn't call me back so I called again and was told the same thing, that the business was giving him the run around. I then contacted him again May 15th stating that we need to take care of this issue before the warranty runs out and again I was told I will call you back and no call. This is where we are are as of now.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement motor of better quality or a reimbursement of $1250.00 and the company can have the defective motor.

Response:

To whom it may concern, In an effort to resolve this claim from Mr. [redacted] he failed to bring his car back to my shop to be carefully diagnosed so that whatever problem he feels was going on with his car would have been rectified. Being that the transmission was not working properly he didn't drive his car for months. I asked him to get his car towed to my shop, he wanted me to tow it at no cost to him, the car has a bad transmission otherwise he could drive the care - Now he wants an engine replaced without replacing the transmission, instead of getting the car to me he decided to put a claim into the Revdex.com. There are procedures that has to be performed in order to ensure a replacement engine would be warranted, Mr. [redacted] has dragged this out a long time and then he waits until the warranty date is almost exhausted then he wants immediate action. Thanks for your concern,

Very good and great labor rates.
