Ron's Auto Sales Reviews (2)

Review: I was pressured into purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. After taking possession, I returned the vehicle to the dealership the next day, citing safety concerns. The vehicle did not drive the way it did during test drive. I was not taking chances and asked to cancel the loan. I was referred to the original salesman the next day. I went to the dealership the following day and was informed that if I still wanted to cancel the loan, they would accept it, but he would like to see if the garage can fix the issue. Three days later, I spoke to the finance company and informed them that I was going to cancel my loan due to safety concerns, to which they had no issues with. After a few minutes, I received a call from the salesman ([redacted]) yelling at me that I had no business telling the finance company I wanted to cancel the loan and he will cancel it, but he will not give back my $4000 down payment because that is how he gets his commission. I went down to the dealership to take possession again and [redacted] Hill, the owner, informed me that I should have cancelled the loan a few days ago. They had already sent the paperwork and registration out and can not stop it. [redacted] and a dealer rep, [redacted], were harassing me about a phone interview that I did with the finance company. They wanted me to lie to the finance company and tell them the I was satisfied with the dealership and with the vehicleDesired Settlement: The outcome that I want is for the dealership to either cancel the loan and return my down payment, or purchase the vehicle from me at the same purchase price plus insurance fees for 3 months and first month loan payment and reimburse me the $80 that I purchased in gas that the salesman and garage used while driving the vehicle around while it was at the dealership

Response:

On Nov, 11th 2013 [redacted] came to Rons Auto Sales with his son [redacted] to purchase a car for his son, at that time [redacted] also wanted to find a vehicle for himself. Over the next several weeks **. [redacted] had come in several times with proposal to get him an suv in which he was going to put a large down payment. We had several suv"s that we purchased at the auction the week of Dec. 1st, 2013. **. [redacted] came in and selected a 2007 [redacted]. **. [redacted] then claimed he was putting $4000.00 down and wanted a decent interest rate despite his credit rating, and a payment under $250.00 per month. A deal was negotiated with **. [redacted] with a monthly payment of $239.00 per month and an interest rate of 16.39 percent. The purchase price of this vehicle was $10652.00( as per buyers order) not $13000.00. Vehicle was sent to be serviced, as we always do, and per **. [redacted] being concerned of new pa inspection. Upon servicing the vehicle after **. [redacted] drove it overnight and bought back for the repair appointment, repairs were done. Repairs that were done include front and rear sway bar links, passenger tie rod end as well as axle and tail pipe repair. **. [redacted] then picked up the vehicle and expressed that the gas was low, therefore the owner [redacted] put gas in the vehicle and **. [redacted] then took delivery of the vehicle and was told that a customer interview was required by the finance company. **. [redacted] from [redacted] Financial left several messages to complete the loan process and reached out to dealership to help contact customer for final review of loan . **. [redacted] was not complying per requirements and wanted to then renegotiate a deal with a different bank as well as down payment. **. [redacted] was informed all paper work was finalized and can not be renegotiated 7 days later. **.[redacted] seemed uneasy, as per us being unable to renegotiate the deal again, only to find out his check for the $4000.00 did not clear in the bank. We have tried contacting **.[redacted] in regards to this situation to no avail. A certified letter was then sent out and **.[redacted] totally ignored, as per our attorney we then notified the [redacted] Police. Charges have been filed and **. [redacted] has been arrested for the invalid check. Feel free to contact us with any further questions.
