Hello ***, I just found the response from this business, I have to ask "what can you do to a shameless liar?" Ron side of the story was complete lie, just like he did to everyone elseplease see how other customers who used his service said about him and his business. I will explain and comment line by line on where he lied, The following was his response, and BOLD fonts is my responseHe called me when I had already a full schedule for the day and I told him that I could stop by within minutes because his house was on the way to my next appointment and my service fee would be $diagnosing and would add more for additional parts and labor He said he would call me back and let me know. I drove up near his house giving him a couple extra minutes to call me back. I called him back within minutes, and he volunteered to drop the $full examination fee to $in order to earn my business, but he made it sounds like I was so desperate to beg for his serviceIs there a reason for me to be so desperate to a business that I never dealt with and does not even know the quality of his service while there are plenty of options available? Right at about minutes from our first conversation he did call me back and said for me to comeReally?? Ron, you are not a good liar, if you like I can provide phone record before hanging up I told him I would only charge $for the service fee and that I was really near. You dropped price to get me into the door, it is your tactics He agreed and I rang his door bell a couple minutes later. I had him turn his thermostat to cool while I went around to observe the AC. I saw that it was't starting and was humming. I checked electrical connects with my voltmeter and deduced that his capacitor was bad, a very common ac problem. Complete Lie! You did not use ANY equipment, you did not check anything other than finding the humming sound when AC was turned onRon did not do his job of providing a full examination and providing a detailed report on every aspect of my AC which was what the $examination fee paid forAsk him where is the report? ask him what exactly he checked? ask him what exactly an examination report should look like, I can provide him a standard one if he does not know how to do his jobHere is what a certified AC Heating Cooling Technician should follow, there are so many items to check, and Ron just want to make quick money, and knowing that most of AC problem come from failed capacitor, and by listening to the humming sound he already knew the culprit was the dead capacitorHe did not use ANY equipment, he did NOT run ANY test, yet pretending he did and charged me a fee of $for the work he was supposed to perform but did notI asked him for report, and he said the receipt was just reportI can not imagine any other answer more ridiculous and insulting than Ron's wordsRon, here is what a certified technician supposed to do, check it outyou charged me many many items that you did not check !!! http://www.***/***/*** I told him that I had one on my truck and could replace it right then and I told him it would be $for the capacitor and $for labor. He agreed to that. After replacing the capacitor the ac turned on and was running well. I then explained to him that there were reasons the capacitor overheated and went badThat running the ac with a dirty furnace air filter could contribute and also the ac being low on refrigerant. I then told him that there is no more cost for me to put my gauges on and check the refrigerant pressures but if it does require more the R-will cost him $per pound After opening up my AC, besides the $examination fee, Ron demand $labor fee which took him less than minute to pull out the dead capacitor and replace it with a new oneI asked him what his hourly rate was, he did not answerI kept asking him his hourly rate, he kept ignoring my questionthere is a standard in industry, labor rate was not something that anyone can manipulate. The capacitor cost $on Amazon, Ron charged me $https://www.***/ref=*** The R22, you can find them on ebay and Amazon or other vendors for under $per poundsuch as this one, 30LB for $695, about $per LB http://www.***-***-*** Yet Ron charged me $per LB, and he did not show me the actual pressure before and after, I do not know how much he put in. and he used piece meal approach squeezing my money drop by dropand when I raised question, he just brushed it off without an answerHe agreed so I hooked up my gauges and showed him that the suction pressure was at about 50psi and for the degree weather it should be at about 70psiI explained that having it topped off will cool his house more efficiently and faster and will ease the ware and tare on the running parts like capacitor I had just installed. I estimated to him that it could take a couple poundsHe agreed for me to top it off. It took pounds so $for the R-22. I buttoned it up and wrote out his invoice and added up the costs all of which he agreed to before I did any of them. Before he wrote me the check he asked for additional discounts. I said I had already taken $off the service fee and had come very quickly to service his home, when most shops around were several days backloggedSo he wrote me the check for my asking $ $60+$50+$30+$90=$ I admit I was working fast so I could still not be too late for my next appointment Within an hour after leaving his home he called me and said he could buy a pound can of refrigerant on line for $230. I said, "Are you sure it is R-because it costs me $for a pound can of R-because they quit making it 5+ years ago and you have to be a licensed, certified, dealer to purchase itAnd if you can get it for a third of the price I want to know where. Then over the next couple days I received several long texts about how I had cheated him because I would not reduce my prices. He kept asking for a diagnosis document and I told him a couple of times, in text replies, that his invoice has the diagnosis. It's simple and few words 1(Checked A/C & found bad capacitor & a little low on R-$60.00) 2(Replaced CapacitorParts $Labor $30.00) 3(Added lbs of R-@ $per pound X $60.00=$90.00.) Paid in full check# I encouraged him to call any HVAC shop and ask them how much they would charge for what I did and even show them my invoice. It was after about long texts that I felt he was now wasting my time and I asked him if he had any more important things than to keep wasting my time over a $invoice of work that I know other shops would have charged him lots more than me and he would have had to wait several days in the heat for service. I did service calls that day most of which were very much like his repairs. His was the smallest invoice of the day and everyone else was so grateful for my prompt service relieving them of the hot week and they all gladly paid and couldn't thank me enoughPlease check *** on how Ron treated customers, if I am biased, let other customer's comments tell you how they feel about Ron's service, and you can find a consistent pattern of unprofessional, rude, and gauging customers. If Revdex.com is accrediting Ron, that only give Revdex.com a bad name, so I urge Revdex.com to re-evaluating Ron's serviceIf he is not off the chart ridiculous, I would not have spent so much time complaining about himI do not want other customer fall prey of his predatory business !

He called me when I had already a full schedule for the day and I told him that I could stop by within 10 minutes because his house was on the way to my next appointment and my service fee would be $80 diagnosing and would add more for additional parts and labor.  He said he would call me back...

and let me know.  I drove up near his house giving him a couple extra minutes to call me back.   Right at about 10 minutes from our first conversation he did call me back and said for me to come. before hanging up I told him I would only charge $60 for the service fee and that I was really near.  He agreed and I rang his door bell a couple minutes later.  I had him turn his thermostat to cool while I went around to observe the AC.  I saw that it was't starting and was humming.  I checked electrical connects with my voltmeter and deduced that his capacitor was bad, a very common ac problem.  I told him that I had one on my truck and could replace it right then and I told him it would be $50 for the capacitor and $30 for labor.  He agreed to that.  After replacing the capacitor the ac turned on and was running well.  I then explained to him that there were reasons the capacitor overheated and went bad. That running the ac with a dirty furnace air filter could contribute and also the ac being low on refrigerant.  I then told him that there is no more cost for me to put my gauges on and check the refrigerant pressures but if it does require more the R-22 will cost him $60 per pound.  He agreed so I hooked up my gauges and showed him that the suction pressure was at about 50psi and for the 85 degree weather it should be at about 70psi. I explained that having it topped off will cool his house more efficiently and faster and will ease the ware and tare on the running parts like capacitor I had just installed.  I estimated to him that it could take a couple pounds. He agreed for me to top it off.  It took 1.5 pounds so $90 for the R-22.  I buttoned it up and wrote out his invoice and added up the costs all of which he agreed to before I did any of them.  Before he wrote me the check he asked for additional discounts.  I said I had already taken $20 off the service fee and had come very quickly to service his home, when most shops around were several days backlogged. So he wrote me the check for my asking $230.  $60+$50+$30+$90=$230  I admit I was working fast so I could still not be too late for my next appointment.  Within an hour after leaving his home he called me and said he could buy a 25 pound can of refrigerant on line for $230.  I said, "Are you sure it is R-22 because it costs me $800 for a 25 pound can of R-22 because they quit making it 5+ years ago and you have to be a licensed, certified, dealer to purchase it. Parts $50.00 Labor $30.00) 3(Added 1.5 lbs of R-22 @ $60.00 per pound.  1.5 X $60.00=$90.00.)  Paid in full check# 3282  I encouraged him to call any HVAC shop and ask them how much they would charge for what I did and even show them my invoice.  It was after about 8 long texts that I felt he was now wasting my time and I asked him if he had any more important things than to keep wasting my time over a $230 invoice of work that I know other shops would have charged him lots more than me and he would have had to wait several days in the heat for service.  I did 8 service calls that day most of which were very much like his repairs.  His was the smallest invoice of the day and everyone else was so grateful for my prompt service relieving them of the hot week and they all gladly paid and couldn't thank me enough.

I normally don't charge by the hour but by each task performed as do many other shops.  I always double check with my customer before I start any procedure and let them know what the cost will be as I did in this case.  I stand by all my comments.  The only thing I would like to do at this point is charge him $80 more now for wasting a couple hours of my very busy time with this complaint.  Recap: He got prompt service on a very hot, very busy, day with a new capacitor and 1.5 pounds of R-22 and diagnosis on his invoice all of which we agreed to before I proceeded with each step.
