Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I will begin by addressing Mr. [redacted]'s slanderous statements made with malicious intent. Clearly untrue and meant to harm my credibility, I will let the facts speak for themselves and take up the libel/slander issues when claim is made in court. Clearly this is the direction we are heading with such sophomoric  behavior and gross incompetence. How could anyone's middle console be filled with beer?? I haven't had a beer in years. I explained to Mr. [redacted] that I have recently had foot surgery and because his flooring is UNEVEN under the front door Matt yes, I fell terribly on my first visit and nearly fell again the second time. I am not particularly steady on my feet and have recently been approved for disability on this basis. All proof and documents in my response today will be submitted for the sake of credibility. The way I have been treated for simply stating all facts here is incorrigible. If I were drunk, why would they hand me keys to ANY vehicle? When the lemon CROWN VICTORIA was taken back for overheating, an employee delivered Mr. [redacted]'s personal vehicle...is this something one does with a raging drunk? All of this to take attention off of his poorly run business and that's enough of that. The End.That being said, today [redacted] gave me an estimate and things are far worse than I thought. EVERYTHING needs to be redone. Bumper is broken and needs to be replaced, parts all need to be repainted, you will see all in the estimate. All I could overhear was OH MY GOD coming from the guys looking at this botch job and the [redacted] (highly professional and very respected) suspects there will be more surprises when the vehicle is taken apart. There's an excessive amount of masking tape underneath bumper and everything I suspected was wrong truly was, this is why [redacted] wants to intimidate me but that is a big mistake, a legal one as well. The evaporator core has no issue whatsoever as determined by Lexus. The 1500.00 estimate by Tender Car was negligent at the least and possibly fraudulent. This is how Tender Car attempts to resolve problems?? To spray my car with a hose ( which did later leave carpet wet btw), tell me it's dry so there's no exterior leak....hmmm...must be the evaporator core. Here's your 1,500.00 estimate Ms. [redacted] now goodBYE! The next time I came back (which was the only time I've met [redacted]) they sprayed the car AGAIN but I was there!! I was able to see the water pouring into the cabin. Diagnoses? Evaporator core!  I stated they were hiding things or particularly stupid and negligent which is when I was thrown off the premises and labeled a drunk. Of course I was angry, I knew better. Nice customer service. Now owner says my console was full of beer Lol, is this a joke??  My vehicle was completely sloshing every time I turned a corner and never, ever did I have that issue pre "repair".As for the carpet, yes it was dirty when I brought the car in but they offer a free detail with body work. In hindsight that right there is a bad sign but although the detail was barely noticeable the carpets were cleaned (and wet) when I picked the car up. They looked very good. Two weeks later they were (and continue to get) black...filthy black from moisture that came from inside the vehicle. My 13 year old son found the ac drain hose himself and solved the major leak, evaporator core I think not. There is still a leak remaining from somewhere inside passenger side. I have had to wash my car by hand for months. What a nightmare. I will submit documents in the next day or two. I'm exhausted from this stress. I was never given a repair statement or any paperwork on what was done. I requested this at my second visit as well as names and credentials and of course, the [redacted] flatly refused. Mr. [redacted] was not intending to come out of the back to even meet me but I insisted. It was clear that he was angry  and did not want to deal with any of this. Experts? No. Regards,[redacted]

This is my final response to [redacted], [redacted] Tender Car Automotive. You asked that I take my car to the dealership, I did so and submitted the estimate for damage. It would behoove you to read the first page once again and you will see that it states "more damage possible tear down and inspect". The damage referred to is the damage you caused as I'm sure you know. Every single thing your shop did was incorrect as well as fraudulent. The bumper on my car is the ORIGINAL bumper, it was never replaced nor removed for a semi-decent repair. The estimate also refers to headlamps that are not properly wired because your techs stuck their hands inside to work on the bumper instead of removing it which explains the cut that is obvious when approaching the vehicle. One mechanic said this could have been done in 15 minutes because the bumper is two different colors...nobody even took time to paint the whole thing. That being said, repair while parts are still on the vehicle create a lot of debris and heat, thus causing my evaporator drain hose to get plugged WHILE IN YOUR SHOP. Incorrect adhesives are anybody's best guess as to why a leak remains Mr. [redacted] and this will only be determined when the car is taken apart again. My vehicle had NO MECHANICAL ISSUES as you stated, nothing you say makes one bit of sense. Your business advertises evaporator core replacements and clearly this is a money maker for you. It is my opinion, and we will let the court decide, that you intentionally created the situation to make more money...it's a good thing I'm not stupid. Never once did anyone ask if I had any symptoms of an evap core issue, your means of testing this was to...spray my car???You are ridiculous. Prestige did not put one thing in the estimate that they felt was unrelated to what took place at Tender Car. You should be ashamed of yourself and your business, not to mention your ethics or lack thereof. To summarize, I will promptly file suit for consumer fraud, misrepresentation, auto body malpractice and anything else my attorney feels is warranted. See you in court.
Regards,
[redacted]

The part was not bad and the paint job look just fine when it left or shop almost 2 years ago. The rear cover has new damaged by [redacted] of the Acura TL and that's why he took it to them to get it fixed. I spoke with the body shop and they where the ones to take off the paint with a air gun and...

caused the paint peal off when trying to fix it for him. They sold him a new cover to save time from what they told me. As we all know shops make more money the less time they spend on something. I have the part here at my shop per my request to [redacted] of the car and he had his mom drop it off so I could inspect it for myself. I still could fix that cover if need be but I would have to charge money since it has new damage on it and that is not covered under my warranty I offer here. You can call the body shop to verify that for your self if need be on what they did to the rear cover. None the less it is not my responsibility to fix a cover that has new damage on it. We have a life time warrant here at our shop and stand by our work 100% if it was not damaged again but the work must be done here at our shop. Because I will not pay for another shop to work on something I fixed and be forced to pay there rates on parts and supplies. There for I will not be paying the bill for another shop to fix it since [redacted] of the Acura TL chose to take it to another body shop here in Wisconsin and not contact me about it before he left the state. If you have any questions on this matter I can be reached at [redacted] my name is [redacted] and I'm [redacted] at the shop and the one who spoke with [redacted] of the Acura TL and the other body shop manager when they called my shop.

I will boost my offer to $350 and no more. There is no documentation showing anything we did was a problem. This car has multiple issues and has been in at least 1 accident before we worked on it. In addition to that there is nothing in the paperwork anything we did was incorrect. Most of these repairs are for fixing things that we didn't even work on. I am making a cash offer to make the situation go away not justify these complaints. I have repeated myself asking for any documentation showing any of the mechanical issues to be in any way our fault. Three quarters of the issues on the body shop estimate were not included in the original repair so why would we pay to fix it?

As much as I would love to solve this issue for 150.00 as Mr. [redacted] has offered, I'm afraid that is not possible. Today I am submitting photos of the areas "repaired" at Tender Car. Please note the masking tape, overspray, paint splotch near mirror, jagged edges, missing guard on front. This missing guard was there for several reasons. In addition to nice appearance, this guard aids in directing air flow and water, debris, etc. It has been drawn to my attention that the grill on hood is loose as well. When heat, paint and debris are around unprotected areas (and the vehicle was clearly not covered or covered correctly) seals melt, debris gets into hoses, all kinds of bad things happen. After the rain yesterday I see my passenger side is indeed wet, not puddled like in summer but enough to know there is at least one leak somewhere. I spoke to an expert Lexus mechanic yesterday and was told that the reason my stereo doesn't work is because underneath passenger side lie majority of electricals and there is just no limit to what has and will continue to be ruined corrosion and mold. Also note photo of the carpet where water continues to enter the cabin. Mr. [redacted]'s request that I have the dealership look at this vehicle has already been done, first in August to have evap core issue eliminated as per the photo, and shortly after I filed this claim. [redacted] is indeed where Lexus sends thier vehicles. When the [redacted] saw my car he stated that anybody who turned work like this out they would be fired on the spot. The only way to determine the leaks and damage fully is to re repair everything, and clearly that needs to be done just due to the body work itself, I'm not even sure my car is safe to drive at this point. Then there are the issues of the stress, time spent dealing with this nightmare and slander/libel to discredit me. As you can see, I was right. This bumper is barely connected, unsightly, unsafe. My electrical system and stereo are ruined, passenger window works only intermittently, I was unable to open window or use my AC for weeks last summer. I would like to ask Mr. [redacted] if he really thinks 150.00 is sufficient. I have yet to see a diminished value expert but as soon as I can, I will.
Regards,
[redacted]

In the interest of resolving this matter I would be willing to offer a $150.00 refund along with copies of all the paperwork regarding the service received. As the claimant stated in the last email the leak was indeed from a leaking evaporator chose which her son fixed and had  absolutely nothing to do with the damage the insurance company paid for. I guarantee that the repair we completed in no way caused the problem this customer is describing. If she would like a third party to confirm this we would be happy to accept an inspection from the Lexus dealer. If they can verify that our repair caused the problems she is describing we can certainly consider correcting the situation.
