Dear Revdex.com:   We are receipt of complaint #[redacted] and this is our response.  This patient was seen in our office Endocrinology Associates.  The patient has a $6000 high deductible plan with UHC which we are contracted with.  All of the charges were applied to the patients...

deductible and are patient responsibility.  The patient was billed accordingly.  The patient did voluntarily sign up for a monthly payment plan of which she is current with her payments.  However, there was a payment in which she submitted with a different name that caused a delay in posting as the billing company was unable to locate the account with the new name.  Our billing company has been in communication with this patient and explained the delay.  The billing company at the patients request sent both a ledger and a payment report to her in September to try and answer her questions.  Those are attached for review.    As of her other complaints of scamming and or money laundering, it is unfortunate that the patient does not understand her healthcare coverage or how the process works.  We would encourage her to contact her health plan for any further questions regarding coverages.  She is responsible for her balance owed per her plan coverage.  We will continue to honor her monthly payment plan as long as the payment is made regularly.  She does have the right to choose her providers and we would be happy to forward any records to any provider she so chooses with a signed release per the HIPAA rules and regulations.   Respectfully submitted,      Cynthia E[redacted], BSHA, CPC, AAPC Fellow Practice Administrator Endocrinology Associates PA

Dear Revdex.com; Attached you will find the patients payment records from the 3rd party billing company for your review.  The patient has made $725.18 in total payments as of today.  UHC has submitted to us via her EOB"S that the patient is responsible for a total of $1145.80.  Ms. [redacted] has paid $725.18 leaving a balance of $420.62 as previous stated in our initial response.  Because of the contractual arrangement with UHC and insurance laws governed by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) we can not adjust in anyway the patients responsible portion.  Regarding her other concerns about the posting of payments both our medical office and billing company follow strict accounting principles and guidelines as "Best Practice" nationally referencing MGMA strategies and high industry standards.   Respectfully submitted, Cynthia Everlith, BSHA, CPC, AAPC FellowPractice AdministratorEndocrinology Associates
