Review: I took my car to Rons Tire on Ruby & Ermina for an oil change on Oct 22nd, a couple weeks later, my oil light came on in the car. I then checked my oil, to find it black and 3 quarts low! I returned my car to the shop & was told that the mechanic in charge of the auto shop, had a "family emergency" and they didn't know when he would be back. This was on a Monday. I called the shop again on Thurday, and was told that "[redacted]" was still out, and when I asked if I could make an appt to have some one lift my car & look at it, I as told that they couldn't make me an appt, because there was no one there that could do it. The woman on the phone suggested that I go by the owners other shop on [redacted]which I immediately did. I told [redacted] what had happened and he put my car on the lift, and called me into the garage.I was then shown my filthy oil filter and a plug in my oil tank that had obviously not been touched in a very long time! [redacted] said "yeah, he didn't change your oil". To make things worse, for this "oil change".. I'd waited 2.5 hours, was charged $46, and when the kid brought my keys back, he said to me "I can tell you take really good care of your car, so I used the good oil" I was livid!! [redacted] didn't have the supplies needed to change my oil, as his part of the business does only tires. I asked, and he agreed, to call [redacted] & I could run down & pick up 4 quarts of oil, a filter & an oil pan. I did this, came back & [redacted] had my oil & filter changed in 20 minutesthis, I appreciated. Before I left the shop, [redacted] told me that he was calling the mechanic, they would pull my receipt & I should be expecting a call, as I was to be getting my money back. That was last week, and as expectedI've heard nothing. I wil return to the [redacted] shop this week to meet [redacted].Desired Settlement: I wouldn't decline a refund! But what I really want, is for people to know this is happening, as well as to speak with "[redacted]" and ask him if he instructs his employees to do these things, or does he just employ dishonest people knowing that they do them.
