I used this service to pay a ticket in November 2019- I paid $246.60 and this company was to pay this ticket on my behalf. Now that this company has shut down the contact information is no longer in service, this company has *** my money and left me with an outstanding fee. I want my money refunded

Rooco took a fee from me to provide a service of paying my speeding fine while offering a discount on that fine. They recently went out of business and did not refund me. This left me needing to pay my fine after already paying them.

Hi I paid for 4 speeding tickets totalling almost $500 threw this company and I have now been notified that they will not be handling them and are shutting down, and I will have to pay the fine price again to the Alberta gov, and cannot get in contact with the company to get a refund please advise what I Can do if anything

Like many others, I paid my traffic ticket online through Rooco.ca. They collected my money but now have shut down operations and I am trying to get a refund from them, since I have to go ahead and pay the ticket anyway

On October 26 2019 I agreed to the services of the Rooco Traffic Ticket company to deal with my traffic ticket of $109.00 CAD. They had me pay them the ticket price of $98.10 CAD and they would appear on my behalf in court to lower the cost of the traffick ticket.
I just received and email from them that they can no longer fulfill that agreement and that I have to now pay the ticket in full or appear in court myself. They have had no mention of repaying me the money I paid to them for the ticket. I cannot reach the company as they have shut down all their services.

Summary: Payment for services not rendered.

Rooco is a traffic ticket “sharing service.” I have utilized their services in the past to pay traffic tickets received in Alberta with no issue. However, on Jan 2, 2020 I submitted a fee of $*** to Rooco for a traffic ticket due Jan 30, 2020. I received the following email response:
“***”

On Jan 28, 2020 at 0403 I received an email that Rooco would not be able to appear in court, and I would need to pay for the violation ticket no later than Thursday (2 days after receiving the email). I submitted 2 emails to the companies *** contact (***@rooco.ca) with no response. Today (Feb 2) I attempted to call (), and the number is listed as “not valid.” I visited the company’s website, which had a notice Jan 28, 2020 stating all operations would cease to exist due to law changes in the Alberta government. I am not certain of the validity to these claims. However, their Website makes no indication of providing refunds to those who paid them prior to their service shutting down.

Rooco had an Ad on the radio CHQR 770 in the months of November/December promoting its services to appeal in Alberta traffic courts on clients' behalf and reduce their violation tickets by at least 10%. Their reviews were good and clients had positive reviews. So I decided to use their services and therefore paid online $103.50 for a $115 speeding violation. Last week I have received an email advising me that they will not be appealing on my behalf and that I have to go personally to the courts. I replied back and asked for the refund of the money paid without any answer. When I went to their website, there was a message from Rooco founder and CEO, ***, that they have shut down their operations. Mr *** has remove himself from all social media and contact possible.

I hired them to fight my traffic tickets. They sent me a letter stating they will jo longer do this but kept the money they have collected.

They were supposed to represent me in court. Took my money and closed down. Now I’m forced to pay for the ticket a second time and there is no word on a refund from the company. They do not answer emails or phone calls.

This company offers a reduced payment on traffic tickets. I paid them $150.30 on December 23rd. On January 29th 2020 I received an email saying they won't be paying my ticket anymore as they are shutting down, and I have to pay it myself on the *** website. There is no mention of a refund in the email. The company has not responded to an email I sent them.

Rooco shut down. They took money for the payment of a ticket, yet failed to refund the money after telling me I had to pay the ticket myself, two days before the due date.

I paid Rooco $*** on October 2nd, 2019, to appear in traffic court in my behalf and take care of the ticket. Just this past week, they have had to cease operation. I received an email from them today telling me that I am now responsible to go and pay this ticket myself. This is absolutely ridiculous. I paid them for a service that they did not render and there has been not a single mention of any refund. This is no different than a pyramid scheme considering the small duration their business was running for. I would like something to be done about this, there are many people in my position who now will end up paying double for their ticket because of this.

Paid the company to handle the payment of my photo radar ticket. I received an e-mail from the company stating that they would not be able to handle that and did not receive a refund.

PAID TRAFFIC TICKETS ONLINE WORTH $***. ROOCO PROMISED TO ATTEND THE TRAIL AND PAY THE TICKET ON OUR BEHALF AND SET THE TRIAL DATE. ROOCO FAILED TO PAY THE TICKET AND CEASED OPERATIONS. ROOCO SENT AN EMAIL THIS MORNING TO ATTEND THE TRAIL AND PAY THE TICKETS ON OUR OWN.

Company is responsible of taking payments for traffic fines and they appear in court on your behalf to get a reduction on the fine. the difference in reduction is the company's profit, while they offer the consumer a 10-15% reduction in cost. the difference in the reduction and the reduced fine in court becomes their profile. company has taken my payment and now is shut down and no longer operating or offering refunds to clients.

I used Rooco to pay a speeding ticket on my behalf. They collected $170 from me on January 2, 2020 to do so. On January 27, 2020 I received an email from them stating they would not be able to pay the ticket and I would have to pay for it. I did not receive the $170 back that the collected.

hi
I have had ROOCO take care of my (and others) traffic violation tickets but they have taken the money for the tickets and now tell me that I need to pay the tickets. They have charged me $*** (slightly discounted amount) for 4 traffic tickets on my credit card immediately upon submission of the ticket and promised to make payment of them. I have now received from them that I have to make payment for these tickets as they will not be making the payment or "court appearance" for them. I now have paid another $*** for the tickets. They are not answering phones not replying to emails about this. I have sent requests via emails about this. I feel that they need to refund the monies collected that they did not pay tickets with.

Hello this morning I received an email from Rooco, I have included it.

I had paid the traffic violation September 29, 2019. The total cost was $182.70.

Now with this email I am required to pay again although I have paid previously in return for the services.

Please be advised that Rooco will NOT be able to appear in Traffic Court on your behalf. As a result, you must either (1) pay the “Voluntary Payment Option” of your violation ticket ***) no later than it's May due date; OR (2) appear in Traffic Court on the Court Appearance Date for your violation ticket.

To find your violation ticket online please see: ***.

Failure to pay the voluntary payment option or to appear in Traffic Court relating to your violation ticket will result in severe negative consequences, including but not limited to (1) late payment charges, (2) the inability to renew your drivers’ license or vehicle registration, and (3) the possibility of civil collection actions against you.

Additional information can be found at: ***.

Best regards,

Rooco

"Rooco would let offenders sell them traffic violation tickets with a set fine for 10 to 15 per cent less than the total fine on the ticket. They made money by sending an agent to try and get the ticket reduced, paying it, and keep the difference as profit."

I paid $*** to them, and they emailed 2 days before my court date to let me know they couldn't attend, without any mention of a refund. They took my money, and won't reply to any emails, or answer phone calls. The website has shut down, and ran off with my money.

I made payment for Rooco to preform a service which involved the guaranteed payment of my speeding ticket reguardless of the outcome in court. I recieved a notice advising they would not be paying the ticket, and the also have not refunded my payment for them to complete this service.
