I would be more than happy to refund her $ The truth is she didn't want to pay for the correct repair She wanted to go as cheap as possible, that is why she is in the position she is in now Just because you put a band aid on it doesn't mean it will stop the bleeding This was all explained to her at the initial meeting and in our repair order

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Please see before and after photos It can be seen from the photos that the entire affected area was not serviced by RRI One, I am not on unemployment nor have I ever been- which either way doesn't matter in this case Two, a "bandaid" should temporarily relieve the leaking and it was never repaired to the point where it stopped leaking I was sold a repair service that was intended to stop the leak RRI came to my home to assess the gutter and if they felt at that time that they could not repair the leak, then they should have not sold me that serviceFurthermore, they continued to tell me that they would come out and fix their mistake for almost months This is indicative of fraudulent business practice I would have hired a different professional to repair the leak, if I knew that RRI would be unable to do so I demand my money back since the work was intended to stop a leak and there were no results Either that or RRI will need to pay a professional roofer of my choice who can properly repair the gutter.

The customer is correct in saying that she had paid for the repair.  What she is not telling you that this is a box gutter that is over 60 years old and has never been maintained properly or cleaned.  On our original visit I had diagnosed the problem area and specifically stated that the...

box gutter is in poor condition.  I then proceeded to tell her that her best option is to "jump" the box gutter with wood and shingles and hang a new gutter system.  That would eliminate the box gutter issue.  She asked for a price and I told her.  She stated that she was on unemployment and didn't have the money to complete the correct repairs.  She then asked if there was a "cheaper" way to address the situation.  I had told her with a witness on site that we can put a "band aid" on it until she can afford to fix it properly.  This is when I suggested putting GAF Top Coat, GAF Flashing Grade and GAF Flashing Fabric in the front outside mitre. This was the best possible product and system to use in her failing box gutter.  She agreed and we came back to do the work.  With all this said, the effective area goes beyond the front outside mitre that we had addressed.  Like I stated previously, this gutter was never maintained properly.  The gutter itself had layers and layers of roof cement caked all over the inside of the gutter.  The lining of the box gutter is metal and seams need to be cleaned, primed and soldiered.  Not caked with roof cement.  The customer also has exposed nails on the shingled roof that is also causing leakage.  Our warranty on repairs such as this is very clear that you get 30 days and a total of 1 return service call at no charge.  We have answered all of the customers emails and have been out there 3 different times (1/17/2015, 1/22/2015 and 4/27/2015)  There is nothing more we can do for the "band aid" we put on an open wound.  I have attached a copy of the repair service order.

The check has been sitting at our office.  I had stated in a previous message that the customer, if she wanted her check sooner, could come to the office an pick it up.  The check has never been picked up.  I will have my office put it in the mail today.

Review: we had our roof completely redone with RRI. They did not properly re-install our drainpipe from the top floor to the porch roof - it pulled away from the house a month ago, and about 6 months from when our roof was installed. Brian the owner claims that because he is working for another company, he has no obligation to his work. No notification was sent that the business was not still active and is still listed with the commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an active business with entity number [redacted].Desired Settlement: we just need him to come repair his work by reattaching the drain pipe to the house.

Review: RRI was hired and paid to complete repair of a leaking back gutter on my house in September of 2014. At that time, they attempted to repair gutter with a sealant. The sealant that they applied did not stop any leaking. The gutter leaked just the same as before they attempted to repair. I emailed back and forth with them until April to try to get them to come complete the repair. They finally sent out their crew in April 2015. They again applied a sealant. The next day it rained and again the gutter leaked just the same as before they attempted the repair. From a non-roofer's perspective, it appears that they did not fully seal the affected area. It appears that they only applied sealant on half of the affected area. In other words, I can visually see cracks in the gutter where water would be leaking through. It is May 2015 and they have not responded to my emails asking them to finish the repair. The continuous leaking is causing further damage to my home and deck.Desired Settlement: I want this gutter to be properly repaired. If they are unable to complete the job or do not want to do it, I expect them to pay another company of my choice to properly complete the repair.

Review: I had Roof Restorations do a tear off and re-shingle of my roof in May 2013 and as part of the contract I was to receive the GAF roof System Plus Lifetime Warranty. At the completion of the job, the owner attempted to charge me for additional labor and dumpsters for debris clean-up and removal. The labor to tear off the roof and haul away all debris was included in the contract which I signed. I did submit additional payment for the rotten wood replacement which was a stipulation of the contract. I argued the contractual obligations on my part were satisfied and the contractor did not attempt to collect charges after this. I was sent a warranty card which I filled out and submitted to the manufacturer, thinking it was for the warranty I paid for in my original signed contract. In April 2014, I noticed my roof was leaking. When I contacted the manufacturer (GAF) for warranty service, they said the contractor did not register the System Plus Lifetime Warranty. I attempted to resolve this through the manufacturer and local sales representative which gave Roof Restorations the GAF Certified Elite contractor certification. GAF says they can not honor the warranty because it is on Roof Restorations to submit the warranty. I now have a leaking roof and no coverage against the contractor's workmanship which should be covered for 2 years from the date of installation. I was told by GAF that the contractor has withheld the warranty based on the money they say is owed for labor and dumpster charges. Again, the original contract included provisions for all labor and debris removal. I had another GAF certified contractor inspect the leak and was told the shingles and flashing were done incorrectly per GAF guidelines.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Roof Restorations fully submit my System Plus Lifetime Warranty to the GAF manufacturer, close this contract as paid in full as all contractual obligations have been fulfilled, and pay to have another GAF certified contractor make the necessary repairs to my roof. Because of the previous issues with Roof Restorations and unethical business practices, I do not want them back to my residence to make any repairs. Please contact me to discuss this issue fully.
