Roof's Garage, Inc [redacted] ***August 29, 2016To whom it may concern:Roof's Garage, Inchas been in business for sixty-seven yearsWe take customer satisfaction very SeriouslyIt concerns us when we hear a customer is dissatisfied with our effortsHowever we feel in the case assigned the ID of [redacted] , there are some misrepresented complaints.The complainant brought his Jeep in at noon on August1, He explained the problem he was experiencing with itHe then continued to state it had not occurred while enroute to the shopI did not get to check it out until the following day at which time I did not experience the problem eitherUnfortunately this happens from time to timeAfter several phone conversations, I told him to pick up his vehicle and see what took placeI informed him that I would be glad to look at it again if the problem reoccurredAfter driving it from the shop the car once again acted upThe vehicle was returned and this time it acted up for us as wellWe were able to locate the problem was with the ECM.The customer was quoted a price of $580,After a day had passed the shop received the ok from customer to fix the vehicle and order the part needed for the repairAutoZone was contacted to order partThey were given the vin number of vehicle and the part number from the original ECMThe part was ordered on Thursday August 5th and was received on Monday August 8th, 2016.Unfortunately the REMAN Company had incorrectly sent an ECM with California emission instead of federal emissionThe Jeep would now run but Service engine light was onThe Jeep was given back to customer to have until correct part could be receivedWe then found out manufacturer did not have one so the original one would have to be sent to Cardone to be remanufacturedAugust 18th the repaired part was receivedThe customer was called to bring vehicle back in so the repair could be finished properlyOn August 19th the Jeep was brought in by someone other than customerThe part was installed with no extra money chargedThe repair was made and the individual signed the receipt you will find enclosed.It is understandable that this was a frustrating situation for the customerHowever we feel Roof's Garage, Incdid everything within our power to provide a fair and positive solutionThere were many hours of unpaid labor and paperwork placed upon the business as wellWe are notable to control our ability to receive the parts we orderIn this case the mistake fell back on the REMAN Company who sent the Wrong part and then could not fill the orderThere was no way the repair could have been made until We had the proper working partThe customer received the Service and repairs that were agreed upon.Sincerely,Roof's Garage, Inc
