Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
After a deep concern with workmanship and the verbal run around I received from Mr *** I suggested that I get a third party involved to see what is going on with the roof. Mr*** agreed that it would be a good idea. I contacted the shingle manufacturer and shared my concern. They gave me the names of roofing installers/companies that have gone through training with them and have earned certification. I made contact with the company that was closest to my home, explained the situation with my roof and requested a inspection. I was given the following information. #There are old shingles remaining under the new shingles (some areas were not completely torn off). #Missing ice and water barrier (missing or improperly installed) #Missing starter shingles. The letter states the roof was not installed in a professional manorI asked what it would cost to have the roof properly repaired. I was advised that a roof that was installed in this manor CAN NOT be repaired. The defects in workmanship listed above are what is able to be seen. This was not a complete inspection. Three major flaws were found and the inspection ended. The reason the roof can not be fixed is because the problems listed are what can be seen. There is no way of knowing if additional problems exist under the shingles that can't be seen. I was told since there are major problems that can be seen by the naked eye the only way to make it right is to start all over again. Rip it all off and start over again. I have also been informed that the installation is so poor that part of the warranty on the shingles is no longer valid. My request for a full refund is completely justified and request the $be returned to me as soon as possible.
Regards,

The south dormer sits on original first layer shingles (total of layers) at time of replacing roof.We did tear off everything , but the part (top where dormer meets the main house) about 12inby 12inis impossible to get to unless remove part of the dormer , so we probably removed layers and left original on.But we were still able to slide new shingles under (space aloud) and this is common with really old houses with dormersAs fur as missing starter shingles or ice/water shield , well the house would have a leak which it is not the caseIn my opinion Mr*** is chasing a none existing problem

The roof for *** *** ** *** ***
*** ** ***The roof for the house and garage was completed in September 2014.The next year I received a phone call from Mr.*** stating ''the concrete in garage is wet'' ,I explained that is common for the garage
floors, but look at the roof for leaks,so he probably did,I have not heard from him about this.Than following year he complained about ice between fascia board and gutter,I came over and found nail holes and pulling nails in gutter and suggested to replace gutters(original).Than later he complained about leak in bay window,I came and resealed old original flashing that goes in to the brick wall(flashing was not covered by contract) and suggested to replace it if it leaks again, plus seal the window above it.The warranty states for any leaks or missing shingles which Mr.*** does NOT have

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I believe this will be my final correspondence involving my complaint.  Thank you to the Revdex.com.  Your involvement in this complaint has provided me written documentation by Mr. [redacted] that his actions breached the contract that we entered September 2014 for what was involved in replacing my homes roof.  In addition I have contacted the Certainteed Shingle Company who has put me in touch with a company trained representative.  He is ready and willing to represent me regarding the workmanship and shortcuts that were taken that have voided part of the companies warranty on the shingles.  I believe my demand for a full refund of $9000.00 is in order and request payment in full by 11/20/2017.  If I end up taking Mr. [redacted] as Principle of Roofing Guys to court the recovery amount will be much higher.    The Revdex.com has agreed to be custodians of the money transfer.  They are located at 10019 W. Greenfield Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53214.  Please contact [redacted] at ###-###-####.Regards,[redacted]
