Review: On June 17,2014 we received our bed that we purchased from Room & Home, the delivery man put the bed together in our bedroom themselves,
on June 30 at 5:00 am while we where sleeping the bottom of the bed broke.
On July 1, 2014 we contacted the company and told them what happen, they asked for pictures and we sent them.
On July 2, 2014 they called to tell us that they where not responsible.
Review: I purchased a bed from them in April, which was delivered in June, 2014. The drivers assembled the bed. In less than 6 months, the bed frame broke. This bed is a storage bed with sprints on each side, it is supported by a base of wood, where the springs are secured. I noticed the screw came out of the wood, and the next day the entire sprint metal frame folded and is now non functional. I contacted their customer service, and they requested pictures of the damage. I sent them immediately. Days later they contacted me to advise that the warranty would nor they would cover the damages. They indicated that the damages were caused due to neglect or misuse of the bed. I assured them they were mistaken, I used it only how I was instructed. They offered no other solution but to have the bed converted into a non-storage bed, at my expense! I refuse to provide them with a penny more of my money.Desired Settlement: I'd like to have an adequate replacement of equal value, I will not accept a replacement of the same product at this time. If they do not comply, I'd like to have my money back please, thank you.
Review: I purchased a 2- piece sofa with my fiancé, in which we we're instructed the furniture was "Brand New' and we we're receiving a good deal because of they business relocation. We had no reason to not believe the salesman, and also the owner as they were frank and polite. The minute we signed the documentation for the furniture, a complete 180 happen with the transaction. I was instructed to pick up Sofa's on a Saturday, Sunday would be there last day of business. The manager and I had an agreement that we meet on that particular Saturday at 1:30pm for pick-up. Not only was the manager, or barely any employers there , My furniture wasn't there also. After speaking with one of the three employee's there, we verified that the Sofa's were sent to [redacted] New Jersey, the relocation of the store, or so I been told. When speaking with [redacted] in customers service, I was told my Sofa's would be sent to my residences. Although this situation was a bit frustrating, I gave management the benefit of the doubt, and just wanted this transaction to be done with When I received my Sofa's, I noticed a hole underneath my Sofa's, with a beetle inside. I did not open the wrapping as I didn't want to tamper with it much further. I took pictures of the evidence, and I once again called customer service. The gentlemen named "[redacted]" that originally sold the sofa to me, came to my house and seen it for himself, which I did respect him for doing so. He apologize and told me a man name "[redacted]" would reach out to me to credit the damage, as he was the man in charge. I spoke to "[redacted]" the following day, and what a conversation we had. He told me, most likely I damaged the furniture, and I should have checked it before opening it. When I told him his employer "[redacted]" had came to my home, and verified that the fault was at his end, he went on to tell me personal information about[redacted] on how he was laid-off and doesn't have entitlement towards the issue. This transaction is a nightmare.Desired Settlement: "[redacted]" told me he would refund me "$50.00", take it or leave it. I have no other choice but to take the refund. In all my years, I have never dealt with a business so unprofessional. I don't recommend Room and Home to my worst foe.
Review: to whom it may concern I purchase love seat and sofa on the 5 of may they promise me 2 week deliver. it's the June 19 it over 2weeks but I gave them one week on top of the two weeks and I still dont have seat. I called the the third week and they told me the next week so I went I threw away my seats now I'm seating on the floor in my living room my company and family on the floor I'm ashame on this situation. so I called on that week that they told me it was coming in again they said for the week of June 19 they have no clue when my seat are coming in she told me call later cause she is trying to wait for a email. so I advice her if she have no good news for me today I need a complete refund on my money. please email back with this problem I'm havingDesired Settlement: I would purchase my seat somewhere else.
Review: I purchased 6 chairs on June 15th. The salesman said they were in stock and the invoice promised delivery within 30 days. When it became close to 30 days and delivery was not scheduled, I called and was told there was a delay and the chairs would be shipped by the middle-end of August. Once again they did not arrive, and the merchant is now telling me they will be shipped at the end of September / beginning of October. At no point has the merchant contacted me with an update (or lack there of), I have constantly had to call to check on the status of the order.Desired Settlement: I expect the merchant to expedite the order. There was plenty of time from the middle of June to the end of August for the chairs to be manufactured in China, and shipped on a container ship. At this point, the merchant should have the product airmailed.
