Review: the bedroom furniture was delivered damaged and broken. I placed a called less than 24 hours later to report the bed collapse in the middle of the night and 3 days later a tech came to temporarily fix it then it collapse again after that and another tech came to temporarily fix it again and it collapsed after that and I am asking for a full refund. since day 1 this bed collapse. owner is stating it broke because I moved the bed and im not supposed to move the bed or it will break which it makes no sense.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund of $1600
Review: I placed an order for a leather couch set and paid nearly 4k in cash. They delivered the couch and the chaise was clearly old and USED; wrinkled and dirty with hair strands and particles stuck to the velcro piece. They tried to convince me it was brand new but it was visibly different from the other pieces. Paul (the owner) promised that he would have a new couch delivered to me in one month and I could hold on to the old couch in the meantime. The couch never came. I called to follow up. They promised the couch would be delivered in two months. I waited.... Couch never came. I was told two weeks the couch would be here, and it was pushed off again and again and again. Its been FIVE MONTHS already and today they lied telling me they attempted to deliver the chaise to my house yet no one in my house (top or bottom floor) heard the door bell ring. Paul is claiming (through his workers) he called my phone and left a message however I have no missed call and no voice message. I can never speak to Paul myself and what I notice about this place is they will get your money, deliver garbage and then treat you like a second hand consumer with no regard or respect for your satisfaction. Ive spoken to Paul (in the store), John, Vera, and Tanya for months trying to arrange a delivery of the new couch and five months later, NOTHING! At this point, no exceptions or arrangements have been made to accommodate this major inconvenience. At this point, they still have not scheduled me a new delivery date. Tanya argued with me on the phone that her boss Paul did call my phone and the delivery guys did show up today. After Tanya gave me the description of the wrong house, I advised her the color description is wrong, I don't have a two car garage and I don't live in a three story house. I explained they delivered to the wrong house ( or maybe they don't even have the couch at all- my thoughts). Also I have no missed calls or voicemails from the owner, Paul. Im open to refund alsoDesired Settlement: REFUND or REPLACEMENT
Review: I ordered and paid for a loveset on 3/4/2013, the loveset was promished within a window of 90 to 100 days. It has been over 120 days and the merchant will not/can not provide an expected date the loveset will be received nor will the merchant cancel the order and refund the money paid for this item.
Currently, when you call the merchant you are either placed on hold and the call is not picked up or the response is "I will get back to you" and the call is never returned.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the moneys paid for the loveset. The promished timeframe for the receipt and delivery of the love set has expired. Until this situation is resolved I am without anything to sit on in my home.
Review: I ordered a table and chairs from the above company. There was a mistake in the size of the table and the amount of chairs that I need vs. what was ordered and delivered. When I was at The Room and Home Furniture store the table I wanted was larger than the one they had on the floor. I told the representative I wanted that model but with 6 chairs and a larger size table. He said no problem and proceeded to give me the cost of the table. I then purchased the table for the amount he said. When the table was delivered a couple of weeks later, the table and chairs was the correct model but wrong size. I work as a militray contractor in Kuwait so my mother was the one who recieved the delivery. She told me the table and chairs was not the size I need. My mother contacted the furniutre store the next day and spoke with [redacted]. She told [redacted] the table was not the size I ordered. [redacted] told my mom the size on my purchase receipt was for the smaller table and 4 chairs. My mom told [redacted] I needed a bigger table and more chairs. [redacted] told my mom I would have to pay the difference in the table size and chairs. My mom agreeed to pay the difference and pay a cash depoist because the table and chairs were back ordered. [redacted] also said for us to keep the table at my house and they will just swamp it out when the new one comes in becuase they did not want to make two deliveries. I had my mother bubble wrap the table to get it ready for pick up. In August (while I was home) I called the furniture store for the status of the bigger table and chairs. They told me they were still on back order. Now in December I am back home again and I went to the furniture store and they discountinued that table. I told the owner I would like a refund and he refused to give me a refund, but offered me a different table. He said I had the table too long, which I told him it was instructed to my mom by [redacted] I keep the smaller table until the new one was delivered.Desired Settlement: I want the bigger table as agreed. The table is not custom made and is found on several websites. I would like the owner to do as agreed and give me the larger table and chairs for the amount discussed or refund me my money and I can go on-line or even right down the street to order the same table and chairs that he claims is discountinued.
Review: On 11/16/2013 I stopped by this store looking for a living room set. The one my wife and I liked had the wrong configuration (left side recliner - right hand chase). We needed the opposite configuration (left hand chase - right side recliner). At this point the salesman suggested we take delivery of the set they had even though it was the wrong configuration and that within a couple of weeks they would come back and exchange the two pieces (recliner and chase) with the correct configuration.
I agreed to this (big mistake) and took delivery of the furniture on 11/23/2013 and ever since I've been waiting for them to make good on the contract without success. I even offered to take a recliner instead of the chase, this way they would only have to exchange one piece instead of two and still they won't do anything. I have called them numerous times and they won't resolve anything.
I stopped by the store on 02/25/2013 and spoke to the manager and all he told me was that deliveries were late and that maybe by the end of April 2014 they might have the pieces they owe me. I have been waiting for more than 3 months, the receipt I have clearly states that if the furniture is not delivered by the promised date (3 months from date of purchase) then the store must offer me the choice of 1- Cancel the order for prompt full refund or 2- Accept delivery at a later date.Desired Settlement: The store should honor the agreement and refund my money. I have waited long enough and now they expect me to wait indefinitely for my furniture, unacceptable.
Review: a while back I wrote to Revdex.com about the failure to deliver my furniture and went to ask for my money back this was done on 19 of June and I still don't have my credit to my bank statement. I called on the 19 of June and they said it will show up on 21 which is Friday I called again on Friday they said it will show on Monday the first of July and they said they were in the process of moving. wright now I'm fed up with the way they failed to deliver my furniture and fed up they cannot give me my money back its going on for about to month already. please help me resolve my matter .Desired Settlement: credit card check a check made out to me or cash I will visit the store on 3 of July.
Review: My parents purchased a 3-piece leather sofa set (sofa, loveseat and armchair) on Dec. 6, 2013 from Room & Home plus insurance on the products for a grand total of $3,784.63. These items were delivered on Dec. 13, 2013.
My mother recently noticed that the leather has deteriorated in numerous spots beyond what is acceptable for furniture that is less than 6 months old. I called the store to inform them of the problem and asked them to make repairs since the furniture is both under warranty AND covered by extra insurance. I was advised to email them pictures of the damage, which I did.
The store is refusing to take care of the problem. They claim that we caused the damage and are refusing to honor their warranty. Additionally, while they informed me that I could attempt to file a claim with the insurance, it's likely they also won't cover it as the insurance only covers stains, rips, cuts, burns and/or punctures. Requests to speak to the owner/manager were met with vague replies, i.e "He's not here," "I don't know when he'll be here," "He doesn't have a set schedule," etc.
Considering that they spent almost $4,000 and the furniture is already deteriorating less than 6 months after delivery, my parents are justifiably angry and upset.Desired Settlement: I would like the store to honor the terms of their warranty and either make repairs to the furniture or replace it.
Review: I purchased a living room sectional and a dining room set for my mother. I am living outside of state. When I inquired about the old furniture in the house, I was told the delivery people would only take the items to the sidewalk. I then scheduled the delivery for the day prior to garbage day. The furniture arrived this afternoon. The delivery persons said this was not part of their contract. I immediately called the store and spoke to a man who said he was a salesperson. He proceeded to tell me that the salesperson would not have said such a thing. And because I sounded like and "intelligent" woman that he was sure the mix up was on their end. I explained that the purpose of my call was to correct the mistake and that my mother is alone and elderly. He rudely responded that he "didn't know what he wanted me to do about it." Essentially I needed someone to remove the furniture. He rudely said, "goodbye" and hung up.
I would not have purchased furniture for my mother who lives alone knowing that the old furniture would not be removed.Desired Settlement: I would've never expected such unprofessionalism from the salesman who answered the phone when I called. He was rude and totally unhelpful. He was condescending by asking, "well, how old is your mother" and "just give them $20 and they'll take it out for you." My expectation was that he would contact the driver and have them take the old furniture out to the sidewalk or at the very least refer me to his manager. He did neither. He persistently tried to get off the phone by telling me he was in the middle of something and then rudely hung up. I would never refer anyone to this place. I expected courtesy when I explained I'm out of state and this puts my mother in a bind. I was surprised that he could be so rude and be a salesperson. He was most likely the owner himself. I expect them to be reminded that they deal with other professionals who gave them the business. It's their duty to uphold their end of the bargain especially if they made the error.
Review: I ordered a couch on February 3, 2015 and was assured delivery by the first week of March. That date passed and when I called to inquire they said the couch wouldn't be in until possibly the end of April. When asked for an exact delivery date they refused to give me one and behaved very unprofessionally. My couch is paid in full. I paid half cash and I financed the other half and am receiving bills in the mail for a couch I have not received. They're explanation upon questioning keeps changing. First they said the order was canceled in error and then someone else said that the material in which I chose the make couch is on back order. Never a straight answer.Desired Settlement: An exact date when this couch will be delivered in a reasonable time frame.
Review: we bought sofa set on 6/27/2013 and has warranty for one year. Cushions of sofa start loosing threads of fabric in Sept,2013 and I went to their store show to manager name is [redacted] He repair it and give me back and told me use it and if they get worst we will replace it. In March 2014 I went to store again with damage cushions and show them picture of chaise sofa which I can not carry it than I met with owner name [redacted] he looked the cushions and pictures of chaise sofa told me fabric is bad and he will replace the cushion and repair the chaise. He took chaise and cushion from my home and returned the cushion unrepaired and told my wife it will take a time to repair it mean time you can use them and we will call you when we have new cushions in store. Chaise still they have in their store which not repaired either yet. I went to store many times had talked to [redacted] all he saying he waiting for cushion and sometime says he is waiting for foam goes into cushion. Now I try to talk to him on cell and store phone he was not available and other employ says he is only the one to deal with. I do no think he is serious for his customer and his warranty . I do not have sofa in my and he is not replacing it soon .I am try to work with and even he wrote on invoice extend the warranty up to 8/30/2014 because my warranty expire on 6/26/2014. but I have no luck with him and I can not invite any family to my home from last three month because sofa problem. I will really appreciated if you help me in this matterDesired Settlement: I just wasn't to replace cushion's for Sofa set and repair Chaise fabric and foam. if he can not do that that give credit and I will some other sofa set from him or some where else

Review: In June 2013 we purchased a sofa and loveseat from Room &Home on [redacted] . One week after delivery the loveseat foot mechanism failed to work. Service man came out and fixed it but after 2 months it stopped working again. In the last 5 mons. we have been going nowhere with this continual problem. The men thought it was the transformer but when that did not work told us they needed to take the loveseat to New Jersey. They do not give a day's notice when they are coming and called me at work several times and told us they are in our area and expected to go home in a half hour so they can deliver the loveseat. Poor communication between office and delivery service. We were told by a young girl that we needed a power surge on our furniture! Ridiculous! It has been faulty from the beginning and have gone through a lot of unnecessary grief and anxiety! Told they do not come to this area only every 2 mpons!Desired Settlement: M y husband and I want are money back and do not want a faulty piece of furniture which this has been since the beginning. No wonder their store closed in Whitehall. Poor management from the beginning!
Review: Hi, I have purchased furniture from Room and Home Furniture Gallery on 15 Dec 2012. I made full payment for two sectional sofa, one carpet, and four tables. Sofas were promised to arrive sometimes in jan 2013 and march 2013. Sofa that was promised to arrive in jan 2013 did not arrive until mid April. Second sectional sofa we still didn't recieve as promised. I am making phone calls to store almost every week. Store owner has promised to call me back with the information but that never happened. I have spoken to store manager several times and asked for store owner to call me but I don't think it is getting anywhere. At this point I just want my money back for the purchase but I was told my sofa will arrive in sep 2013 or oct 2013. I feel like I have waited long enough and I should get my money back. Besides I don't trust them anymore.Desired Settlement: I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND SHOULD BE ADVERTISED IN NEWs NOT TO TRUST THIS BUSINESS
Review: I went to store location to purchase items for in inpatient hospice facility. We ordered recliners, sofas and love seats, and dining room chairs for our facility. The date of purchase was September 17 and we were promised as per sales receipt delivery of all items by September 25th… 7 days after I purchased ALL items. I paid in full. Delivery of recliners and sofas and love seats were 2 weeks late and to this day (Novemebr 8) I have still not received my dining room chairs. I have been promised weekly by the owner [redacted], and [redacted] that I would have my products and every week I wait. I placed a call again today since delivery was supposed to occur and they have no answer as to where my products are. One of the worst experiences I have had with any company.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and an apology

Review: ON 9-15-2013 MY FAMILY AND I WENT TO THE ROOM&HOME FURNITURE GALLERY IN [redacted], PA. WE SPOKE WITH "[redacted]' - A SALES PERSON WHO GAVE US A PRICE ON A DINNETE SET. WE THEN WALKED AROUND THE GALLERY LOOKING AT OTHER ITEMS. WE THEN RETURNED TO THE PRICED DINNETTE SET THAT "[redacted]" HAD PRICED. WE EXPRESSED INTEREST IN THE SET. AT THAT POINT "[redacted]" INTRODUCED "[redacted]" WHO WAS ABLE TO GO LOWER ON THE ORIGINAL PRICE THAT "[redacted]" HAD PROVIDED. WE WERE VERY INTERESTED IN THE DINNETE SET AND I STATED TO "[redacted]" THAT I COULD ONLY PUT-DOWN 10% AT THIS POINT AND "[redacted]" STATED THAT WOULD BE OK. "[redacted]" FUTHERMORE STATED HE WOULD NOT ORDER THE DINNETE SET TILL THE TOTA 30% WAS PUT-DOWN. THE TOTAL DUE FOR THE DINNETE SET WAS $2248.26 AND I PLACED THE 10% OF $224.82 DOWN. ON 9-17-2013 (48 HRS LATER) I CALLED ROOM&HOME AND STATED THAT I HAVE TO CANCEL. I SPOKE WITH HOME&ROOM ASST MANAGER AND HE STATED THAT "[redacted]" HAD ALREADY ORDERD THE DINNETE SET. I ASKED HIM WHY DID HE ORDER THE SET WHEN 30% WAS REQUIRED PER THE INVOICE. "ORDER POLICY" STATES "ALL ORDERS MUST HAVE ONE-THIRD OF THEIR PRICE PAID BEFOR THE MERCHANDISE CAN BE ORDERED" AND THIS WHAT "[redacted]" STATED AS WELL. I ASKED THE ASST MANAGER WHY DID [redacted] ORDER WITH ONLY 10% DOWN? "[redacted]" NEVER RETURNED A CALL TO EXPLAIN. I REACHED-OUT TO "HEATHER" (SALES MANAGER) AT HOME&ROOM ON 9-25-2013 AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION - TO MY SURPRISE SHE STATED THAT "[redacted]" AND "[redacted]" NO LONGER WORK FOR HOME&ROOM AS THEY WERE A PROMOTION GROUP. "HEATHER" TOOK MY INFORMATION AND THEN FORWARDED TO GENERAL MANAGER FOR REVIEW. ON 9-27-2013 "HEATHER" EXPLAINED THAT WHAT HAD OCCURED WAS BETWEEN ME AND "[redacted]" AND THAT THE BEST THE COMPANY WOULD DO IS OFFER ME AN IN-STORE CREDIT OF $224.82. I TOTALLY DISAGRRED WITH THE IN-STORE CREDIT AND REQUESTED A FULL REFUND OF $224.82.Desired Settlement: REFUND CHECK IN THE NAME OF [redacted] FOR $224.82 SENT TO MY ADDRESS.
Review: I ordered a mattress and bed from this place on 3/29/2013. I also gave an almost $900 deposit on my $2600 order ,as of today 6/5/2013 my furniture is still not in. This is an absolutely ridiculous amount of time to wait for two pieces of furniture they told me it would be in in at most of 6 weeks from ordering which it is not. I wanted a refund they said they will not return my money even though they are way behind with my order . I am not even being offered any type of discount for waiting so I want my deposit back and to take my buiness else where but they refuse.Desired Settlement: I wouls like a refund or at the very least should be getting a discount.

Good afternoon
Review: I purchased a dining room table w/ chairs and an oak tv console at Room & Home Furniture (order # [redacted]) on 12/26/12. My salesperson [redacted] said that they should easily arrive within 30 working days at the time of the purchase. I paid for the items before delivery in full. The work order says, the merchandise you have ordered is promised to you on or before 30 working days. 30 working days was Feb 7th, 2013. The table w/ chairs arrived in mid-january and I had the hold it until I moved into my new house the week of Feb 4th, 2013. In mid-january, my salesperson [redacted] called me to tell me that the oak table was in, but that the tv console was running behind and wouldn't arrive for another month. At that time I told her that I wanted to cancel the tv console since it would not show up in my 30 working day period. She said that I would have to pay a cancellation fee and I responded that I wouldn't because Room & Furniture broke the terms of the agreement if they are not going to deliver until mid-february. She talked to the store manager and then returned to the phone and promised me that I shouldn't cancel the order because the manager [redacted] assured her that the console would arrive in the 30 working days. On 2/6/13, I called to confirm that the console was arriving and they said that a service rep would call me back that day. No one called. I called back on 2/8/13 since they did not return my phone call and at that point they told me the console was delayed because they were waiting for their delivery truck to fill up. The truck can't leave until the truck is full and they expected delivery on the week of 2/18. 2/25 I call room and home again and I am told someone will call me back. No one does all week and so I call again at 3/1/13. At this time I ask to speak to the store manager and [redacted] from the ** store calls me and apologizes and says that the truck is not full and he is keeping on top of my order. He has a post-it on his computer and will track the order and call me back by the end of next week to give me an update. He says that the delivery should now be on the week of 3/11/13. 3/8/13 [redacted] didn't call all week. I call in to the main office and talk to [redacted] on the phone who calls [redacted] and [redacted] says that the order should arrive at the end of next week. At this point, I keep being told that the order should be coming in 1 or 2 more weeks and I no longer believe them. We're now at 10.5 weeks (51 working days) and counting. The delivery is now "estimated" for some time at the end of next week which would be 11.5 weeks (56 working days). They will not give me a date on which the truck is leaving. I keep calling and asking being told someone will call me back and no one does. So I ask if I can speak to the owner and they won't let me. Apparently the policy is to apologize and then not let me talk to anyone else. They are doing everything in their power to lie to me and say anything to keep their sale after a ridiculous amount of time has elapsed since I purchased this item in december. At no point did anyone do anything except verify that the truck is not full. They did not ask the truck to leave early, schedule another truck, give me a discount for the inconvenience or let me talk to the owner or someone in charge beyond the one time I spoke to [redacted] the store manager who didn't call me back after repeatedly telling me that he would absolutely call me back that week.Desired Settlement: I want this item to be delivered promptly and the price significantly discounted to account for the lies and time spent being told not to cancel the order because the order would arrive in 1 or 2 more weeks. I could have been out purchasing another tv console instead of waiting for nothing to arrive and spending my free time contacting room & home over and over again. Customer service failed to provide any adequate assistance.
