Review: Quoted me a price then substantially changed the price after I had pulled the part.

I went there to check the part, a plastic piece from the dash of a [redacted]. I was quoted $23 for the whole dash board and only $12 for the smaller plastic center piece. The clerk informed me that a special was coming up in 2 days, the "annual half-off sales." He said the center piece I was interested would be only $6! I thought it was a good deal. So I returned 2 days later for the sales. I spent almost an hour to remove the delicate plastic center piece. At the check out, first I was told $56 because there were controls and switches attached. $12 was for the bare plastic. Ok, I was expecting $6 as I had been quoted 2 days earlier. But I would pay $12 after spending so time there already. So, for the next 30 minutes, I removed the controls, metals, switches,...etc piece by piece until there was nothing else could be removed without breaking it. The clerk in-charge agreed that was nothing else could be removed. But now the price was $24 if I wanted it. I said what happened to the $12 you just told me. She said,"That's the price. Take it or leave it!" Having wasted almost 2 hours there and removed this delicate piece of plastic for them from a 12 years old car, I felt I was being taken advantage of. I finally decided it was not worth arguing with a scammer. I left.Desired Settlement: Sell it at the initial quoted advertised price $6

Response:

I would like to speak with the customer to try to resolve this issue. We have had a complete change in management in [redacted] this year, and we value our customer's opinions. I do not have a Sales Associate with the initials or name **, so I am not sure who the salesperson was in this instance. If the customer would like to contact either myself or the Sales Manager, Mr [redacted], we would be happy to assist the customer. Our store phone number is ([redacted]) [redacted]. My cell number is ([redacted]) [redacted]. I look forward to helping the customer in any way we can. [redacted].
