Thank you for reaching outWe previously explained to Ms*** * *** that due to the merchant account her refund was issued from being frozen (due to security breach)- she has either the option of waiting until the banks release the funds or we would issue a refund via direct bank transfer, in
this case that would require an account and routing number from the customerWe normally do not like to issue refunds this way, but as a courtesy to the customer for a faster resolution we offered this optionWe also informed her she was welcome to charge-back through her bank if she absolutely did not want to resolve the issue with us any furtherShe said she would call back and we did not hear from her

I was aware of all the terms and conditionsI tried my very best to call and cancel, I called day after day with no answer, I left several messages as wellWhen you do not answer your company phone and do not return calls, it is difficult to cancel before the trial period is upAfter doing research, this is a common practice from your companyMany other people are having the same issue, none of us could get a live person to answer and all of us left several message on the voicemail.I feel this is a scam, you send out free trials, but do not allow people to cancel during the trial period

Good afternoon,Our records indicate that we have attempted to resolve this issue with you via live chat and over the phone. Most recently, we offered to issue you a Return Merchandise Authorization number for a full refund on your charge of $99.99 on placed on 10/22/2017 09:10pm for a shipment...

you are due to receive, but we show you declined this offer. Without the return of unopened packages we will not be able to refund any of your charges. The terms and conditions were stated clearly on our website upon your initial order as well as attached to this communication. A refund can be processed for any shipments received within 30 days of delivery with RMA number written clearly outside the return box. We have only sent you one shipment thus far that shows DELIVERED on 9/20/2017. Good morning,We reached out to [redacted] and explained the bank error we ran into while attempting to process her refund, we were able to process a refund for her via direct bank transfer. We do hope we've reached customer satisfaction with this resolution.

My bank advises me not to submit my routing and account number to this company.  I have instituted a bank dispute resolution with the bank and they will resolve it.  This method of the chargeback was not relayed to me by the Roots company by the way.  Thanks for your help Jasmine.
