I met with customer Thursday August and we agreed I would install new pickets across double gates and up to home so all would matchShe was gonna count pickets she had left over from original project and let me knowAs of Jan 4th AM, I have not heard from herShe agreed the rest of fence was good and that a 1/4" -1/2" gap in a few areas was do to the ground not being laser levelThe pickets skim the ground as we do all wood fencesIf we inset pickets below ground surface, they will rot offAgain, this is a cheap pine picket, not a #grade full cedarSeveral pickets have already shrunk and warped within a yearThis was discussed with customer at time of installThis is also, a large portion of problem with the double gates not closing real wellMany of the pickets have shrunk to as much as a 3/8" gap inbetweenThe framing of these gates were tight and solid. I will never install a cheap product as this anymore!
