Review: When a business owner is screaming in the face of customers, I strongly feel everyone needs to know. I am 5 months pregnant and decided to take my family to try out this new establishment. Little did I know what I would be getting myself into. Besides the fact that the service was awful, the food I can't even explain, it was beyond bland. I couldn't eat any of it and neither could my husband. My son enjoyed is bland barely cooked French fries though but what 7 year old wouldn't. Long story short, my husband took our debit card into the building (we were seated outside on a broken picnic bench)and waited for his turn to pay. I sat in my car, because I was in so much pain from the bench being broken and not being able to move, and so upset at how awful the food was and still being hungry I just wanted out of that place. I waited in my car for 25 minutes for him to pay our bill. When my 7 year old some cam out crying hysterically I got out of my car to see what was wrong. At that moment my husband comes out saying they are saying our card is denied and will not give our card back. When I walked in the male owner was toe to toe with my husband screaming in his face that we are refusing to pay and he was already on the phone with police, which is the reason my child was so upset. After getting my husband and son out of the building, I tried asking what was going on, but the male owner was too busy screaming in my face that we were ditching the bill and the cops were on their way, that he couldn't answer me. I got away from him and went to the female owner and said give me my card back please. She said your card is declined and I need another form of payment. I said there is no way my card is declined you are clearly having problems with your system. They screamed and yelled in my face telling me I was ditching the bill and not giving my card back. The customer before us had same issue. Their system wasn't working so they decided to call me a thief, call the police and blame me instead of the issue.Desired Settlement: I am not sure how this situation and be corrected. The owners have contacted me several times calling me a liar threatening me because I posted an honest review of my experience on their facebook page. They are extremely out of line and I feel they need to be notified that people are aware of how they run their business. If someone could contact me to help further assist me with this I think that would be best. Any owner of any business should not be allowed to scream in the face of a customer.

Review: I was a vendor on 4/17/16 at Rosalees, alongside many other's that were representing their unique businesses. I had a vendor show a month prior that had two brides the whole day. Due to the lack of clients, I was invited back to the bridal show on the 17th.

I would like to start by saying that Carolyn informed we vendors that the venue was a beautiful location on 44 acres of land with a beautiful patio. The 44 acres is actually a golf range with batting cages. The venue was a very small restaurant with minimal organization and a missing window in the back room that is covered with plastic, taped to the frame. They advertised the show as a wedding and prom fashion show and live hair demonstration with no mention of anything else, wedding related. One vendor was personally told by the coordinator that there would be a many salons at the show along with other wedding specific vendors. There weren't any salons there, no live hair demonstrations, and many vendors left before 2 pm. There was also supposed to be a fashion show, but there was no one there to coordinate that either. After waiting until 3:00, I decided to start packing my things because I had a long drive home and I had been through this before at their establishment.

We (the vendors) were also charged different amounts for the same misrepresented and unorganized event. Some were charged $150, I was charged $250, and another vendor was charged $350, with no solid reason. We all set up our tables and only 2 brides came in the 4 hours of the show. In our vendor agreement, it states that they were expecting 30 Vendors and 200 -250 brides. The coordinator of the event was no where to be found for most of the show (she did this at the event in March that I attended). It was like she was hiding after the second bride arrived. There wasn't anyone to manage the registration table, which was very odd because it seemed that they knew that no one was going to show up. We actually had the chef of their restaurant track her down so we all could talk to her. We were told that she would be right out to see us (30 minutes later she comes walking out). We were promised that around 100-150+ brides had pre-registered to come. Granted, it was a beautiful day and some people may not show up; but for only 2 brides out of 150+ to attend (as early bird brides) not only shows how much it was not advertised, but was very sad, disappointing, and upsetting. It made we vendors question the integrity of Rosalees.

No one got an apology from the coordinator. Carolyn even said she was not in charge of the event, just the inside. She was the contact person for the show and she was the person that we all paid. Many of us tried to talk to her to see if we could get a part of the money back. She refused and told some of us that we could come back next month for the next show. Some laughed at that option, considering her event last month had the same amount of brides that came. Even one of the vendors that paid extra to attend the next show asked for her money back for that show because she would not attend. The coordinator told that vendor that because she packed up early (we all did) that she will not give them their money back. If they stayed for that extra hour that she would think about it but it was highly unlikely that she would refund their money. I personally emailed Carolyn to resolve this in a very open and objective manner, being sure to maintain a level of professionalism, and her response was very unprofessional and she was cursing at me. She also forwarded the email to other vendors that were not included in our discussion, mentioning names and threatening me. I looked up her business on the Revdex.com and this is not the first time that it has happened. Apparently the last time, someone had police involved because it was a face to face altercation.

Aside from the lack of professionalism, we were told that she advertised very heavily for the event on The Knot and other websites. When you search the company name, the only thing that shows us is a small event ad on The Knot website that you would only find on their personal Facebook page. We were told that they were going to have a TV commercial, radio announcements, newspaper ads and many other sources. To my knowledge, those forms of marketing were not utilized. One would gather that if they were used as forms of advertising, there would have been more than two brides that showed up. The Facebook event for the show had a total of 5 people attending it (all vendors).

Part of the agreement that I paid for was free advertising on their website for one year, paid for in March, which is still not on their website. I also paid for all of the registered bride's contact information. I received an email with the "list" of 120 brides with absolutely no phone numbers. They all had emails though. I decided to send an email to them and received 100 "message failed" notifications to my inbox. 100 out of 120 emails did not even go through!

This establishment definitely scammed hard working people out of their money. I (and other vendors as well) learned this from experience in dealing with them through this. If it was not true, I believe that the owner would have been dedicated to customer service, vendor satisfaction, and the overall appearance and professionalism that would be demonstrated from Rosalees. One vendor even google searched some of their pictures that they said were from their events. They weren't even theirs. They plagiarized pictures from photographers from all over the US, saying that they were taken at their venue.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $250 that I spent to pay for this event because the terms of the contract were breached by Carolyn. She falsely advertised to the other vendors and me about her "aggressive marketing", adding me to her website for advertising, and the number of registered brides that were coming to the event. I would also like to be compensated for my mileage from my home to her venue twice. I was promised a big show and that is why I paid for my vendor spot and went back the second time. I also donated $300 in gift certificates and purchased gifts for the brides, and I never received my items back.

Review: I am an independent consultant of a business. I bought a spot to be a vendor at what I was told to be a VERY HIGH END event with 250 brides. It was a $250 table . The place was dirty. I only see my husband on weekends due to him working in Philly all week every week. 4 brides total came in. thats 246 brides less then was told. She said she used all of the money from the tables to pay for advertising. Then gave us another show for free. I sent my team member in my place since I had surgery. Carolyn Watkins told my team member that she never advertised for the show cause not everyone paid on time. I did pay on time! I deserve my money back and the fact that she lied to all the businesses that paid! She then told my team member that over 90 people pre paid for tickets that day. 2 people showed up. I know for a fact she charged people over $300 for a table at that event. I think this women is scamming people! After I told her I was upset that no one came and she should learn how to do it better she told me I would never reach her success. Shes rude and terrible!Desired Settlement: I want her to have the worst reviews. She lies and scams and I think her wedding side business needs a look into it to see if its even legal!
