The last time I ordered at Rosati's, some high school bimbo who worked there gave me looks and smiles, then reported me to the manager for harassing her. The roast beef sandwich I ordered was tough. They forgot to give me au jus. The spaghetti and meatballs my wife ordered were lacking spaghetti, maybe 15 noodles in the serving they gave me for takeout, mostly watery sauce.
I decided there must be a superior alternative to ordering at Rosati's, so I tried ordering from Oregano's, located in the Costco shopping center at Elliot Rd. and Priest Dr., which is fairly close to Rosati's location on Chandler Blvd. in Ahwatukee. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs, along with an item Oregano's has named, "The Big Beef Sandwich". Now, I'm not asking you to believe me without proof, but I ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE YOU, if you try those two dishes at Oregano's you will NEVER RETURN AGAIN TO ROSATI'S. Don't trust me. What do you have to lose to find a FAR SUPERIOR RESTAURANT FOR RIGHT AROUND THE SAME PRICE.
Bon appétit, my friends. You can thank me later.

I placed an order by phone for pick up. The order taker told me my food would be ready to pick up in half an hour. When I arrived to get my food, I was informed by the manager, whose name is Scott, that my order was never placed or got lost or something, but the food was not ready. He offered to give me the food for free at that point, so I killed 25 minutes shopping for wine at a nearby Fry's Market.
When I returned, my food was ready and I picked it up and headed home to eat dinner with my wife, an hour later than our usual dinner time. The next time I ordered from Rosati's, the same manager was on duty when I walked into the store to pick up my order. A lady came in behind me to pick up a pizza she had ordered and the same manager who had been on duty when Rosati's lost my order the first time was on duty again. He couldn't find the lady's pizza order. He told her he'd make her a pizza and that it would take around 25 minutes. She said to the manager, "How did you lose my order?" The manager said, "I don't know, somebody must have not entered it into our computer order program. The lady replied, "Don't you watch what people are doing to make sure things are done right here?" Scott answered her, "Hey, don't blame me, I didn't take your order!" The lady sat down to wait, obviously frustrated." I asked her, "You have to wait here for 25 minutes to get a pizza that should have been ready when you got here because they lost your order? I'd chew out the manager for the hassle and inconvenience of making you wait here all this time just for a pizza. Isn't he going to do anything for you to compensate you for your wasted time?" She said, "No, he didn't offer me anything for having to wait for my pizza." I called Scott, the manager, over to the counter and told him in front of the lady whose pizza order was lost, "How many orders do you lose here? Don't you think you should do something for this poor lady to compensate her for her time?"
Scott told me, "I'm going to give her a free pizza. I took care of you, didn't I?" Shaking my head with a sad smile, I commented to Scott, "Wouldn't it be better business all the way around to do things right so your customers get their food when it's promised and you don't have to make it up to people by giving food away for free while they sit around killing time?" He didn't say anything in rebuttal, just walked toward the kitchen area of the store. I mentioned to the lady who was still waiting for her pizza, "The manager said your pizza would be at no charge."
She thanked me for my help and commented, "I feel a little better now but I'm still unhappy about having to waste my time waiting for a mediocre pizza." I asked her, "Why do you order here?" She responded, "It's not too far from where I live. Why do YOU order here?" I grinned and quipped, "Same stupid reason. Half the time the leave something out of your order, like a salad or dressing or garlic bread, or they leave four inches of crust without topping around the edge of your pizza. And they really don't listen to constructive criticism. They just keep stumbling down the path of carelessness and mediocrity. I think I'm done ordering from Rosati's. There are better alternative, even if it means driving an extra mile or two to get there."
The lady nodded at me and agreed, "I think I'm with you on that. Who needs this hassle for food that isn't anything to write home about?" But, don't take my word for it. Make the mistake and find out the hard way, if you insist. Just kidding, folks, just kidding. AVOID ROSATI'S and do yourself a big favor. Believe me, you don't need the aggravation and spotty food quality.
