Review: I took my [redacted] to Rose Auto Clinic at the end of January because the heater did not work and I wanted a pre-inspection done on it. They charged me $156.21 to replace a blower motor/ resistor and $16 for the pre-inspection. They quoted me over $80 to change the thermostat but I declined because I was able to change the thermostat myself. I fixed every problem found on the pre-inspection. The mechanic I spoke to explained that the heat would still not work until the thermostat was changed. I researched the issue and found that a broken thermostat is associated with the vehicle over heating as well as the heat not working. I had no issues with my truck over heating but I took the mechanic's word for it and changed the thermostat anyways. After changing the thermostat the heat still did not work. I researched it myself and found that the problem was actually with the blend air door. The blower motor/ resistor only changed the air speed. It had no effect on the air temperature at all which was the only reason I agreed to have it replaced. I took my truck back to Rose Auto Clinic so they could correct the actual problem with the blend air door. It was as simple as turning the blend air door with a screwdriver so they did not charge me an additional labor fee. I also wanted a new state inspection. Even though I fixed every problem listed during the pre-inspection they failed my truck for inspection saying that the Air Bag light was on and the power steering pump was leaking. While driving the truck home after the correct repair was made to the heater I noticed I was unable to turn the heat off. I also noticed the ABS light came on, the check engine light came on, and the speedometer stopped working. I spoke to the [redacted] and asked him to fix these new problems that were not present when I dropped the truck off. He denied any responsibility for the new issues. I asked him to at least look at it to see if he may have loosened something while repairing the heat and he refused to do any diagnostic tests with out charging me. He told me the issues were present before the truck was brought in. When I brought up the pre-inspection he told me that all these issues must have arrived since then even though there was only 170 new miles on the truck, most of which were from driving back and forth to Rose Auto Clinic. Basically I’ve paid [redacted] and I now have a truck with out a speedometer, a heater that I can't turn off and numerous unknown problems with the engine, ABS brakes, and airbags.Desired Settlement: I would like this complaint to be made available for other customers to see and a full refund of $[redacted] for the unnecessary replacement of a blower motor/ resistor and the pre-inspection.

Dear Revdex.com,

As far as [redacted] complaint, we are willing to refund him the cost of the [redacted] and [redacted], which comes to $[redacted],. as the resistor did not fix the Initial problem he was having with his heat.
The subsequent problems he had with his truck were not caused by changing the blend door to the "heat" side. The truck has almost 180,000 miles, and has been modified. We cannot assume responsibility for chan.ges to the truck that we did not make. The bumper has been replaced, which can affect the airbag light. The other issues, such as speedometer, check engine light and brakes, can be attributed to an aging vehicle with many miles. None of those problems can be caused by moving the blend door.
We are sorry that [redacted] had a less than favorable experience at Rose Auto Clinic....we do strive to satisfy our customers I

Review: I called Roses and told them who I was(I work at an automotive dealership, used them for the buisness, AND my daughter's grandfather has worked there for over 10 years, rhats why I brought my boss's business to them) and asked them the wait time to mount and balance 4 tires he said "No wait come now". I loaded up my tires and went to Rose's (was less than 5 minutes), I went inside and went to the man at the desk, to hand him my keys, he said "we r not working on your car, your boss is an [redacted] I said "what does that have to do with me?" He said "take it to Little Tire Im sure they will work on it for you". I said "I dont understand", I got no response". I leftDesired Settlement: I just want Roses to be contacted by the Revdex.com and I want them to know that what they did/said was inappropriate and unprofessional. And I want this to be made public for other consumers
