Rose Blau Real Estate

I had a wonderful experience of using Rose Blau this year. She was fantastic at knowing the best listings and really honoring what I was looking for. I recommend her to everyone whenever possible who is looking for an apartment or home in Brooklyn. I'm soooo thankful and happy in my apartment thanks to Rose!

"In May (2015), I went on the dreaded nyc apartment hunt, going through tons of headaches and soooo many pages of [redacted] posts, plus 13 brokers. Let's just say... thank freaking goodness Rose was lucky # 13.

Yes, she is honest, and abrupt, and blunt, and busy (so just try again if she doesn't email/call back but I believe she always responded to me). And yes, she tells it to you like it is as far as what you can/can't afford, whether your time frame is realistic, whether your requirements can be met, etc. (All of my requirements were met btw, which were: elevator, doorman, laundry in building, dishwasher.) But she is great and she does the job so well.

She knows the good listings because she is proactive and experienced. She doesn't push you to get anything. She doesn't talk anything up. (She doesn't need to.) She just shows you amazing places based on your specifications and you can decide on it. (And that's how it's supposed to be! but almost no one does this for some reason!)

This was remarkably a different experience from any other broker I or my friends have used. (The other brokers I used showed me really bad apartments in crappy neighborhoods for the same price I got for my current amazing place through Rose. Anyone who has been through the major time-wasting nightmare of using brokers with bad listings knows what I mean when it's just like the apartment-hunting episode of 'Louie.')

Also, after I moved in, if things weren't quite right or ready, she took care of me to make sure everything was perfect which is super above and beyond. For example, I wasn't satisfied with the landlord's/super's cleaning and she made sure they cleaned the apartment of dust, etc, for me and even replaced appliances and added new features!

I tried to email her the other day to ask what kind of gift I could thank her with, and she refused a gift. ;)

So now I'm on here hoping that increasing her business is a good "thank you" (not that she needs it, probably, but still).

I feel like I got an amazing deal, and now it's October, and I'm still so happy and grateful for my apartment. Thank. Freaking. GOD. (and Rose!)"
