Rosenblum and Rosenblum

Review: Back in 2004, I adopted my son through a step-parent adoption. According to the Dept of Vital Records in 2005, they never received the paperwork from the Mr. Rosenblum's office. At that time, the office said they would redo the entire process again for us. In 2013, I had need to get my son's birth certificate and found out again from the Dept of Vital Records that they still had not received the paperwork. I contacted the lawyer's office several times and was met with very rude ladies on the phone and finally in January and then February (after a great deal of pushing) emails from Mr. Rosenblum.My husband and I have given them everything they have asked for several times over. The lawyer's office will not return my phone call now. I feel like my adoption was made a complete mockery of. This is horrible treatment. The devastation I feel overwhelms me on a daily and constant basis.Desired Settlement: I want them to do what they were originally supposed to do, what I have paid for. I feel that I also am owed a refund and possible more for all the time and anguish this has caused my family, esp. my son and myself.

June 9, 2014Dear [redacted]:The Birth Certificate was corrected and delivered to the clients by the Department of Vital Records. So the matter has been resolved prior to receipt of this complaint. Despite submittal of the proper forms in 2004 when the adoption was approved, the Department of Vital Records did not properly act on the paperwork. According to the local Circuit Court, this is a common problem. When brought to our attention, the firm had to retrieve the older files from storage and certain archived court filings. See redacted emails and beauracratic problems. The process was understandably frustrating.
