Since we are a Used dealer ship we buy our cars at auctions, we check the cars make sure they are in good condition and attempt to buy the ones we like. The cars are driven from the auction to the lot and if anything wrong happens to the car its fixed. In this case the vehicle purchased by the customer was in good condition and it was driven for 3 hours from our location. At the time of purchase the customer came to our location and test drove our vehicle. We asked if he like our vehicle and he was interested in buying the car. The customer agreed with our price and agreed that he liked the vehicle. We did not make him buy the vehicle! All of the people who stop in have the option to not buy any cars. Now if the customer is saying that the car was overpriced, then I don't understand why they drove 5 hours to our location and bought the car for the price that was listed. Now at the time of purchase the customer was offered a warranty from [redacted] for $225.00, in which the warranty covers 6 months or 7,500 miles. We can recall that the young gentlemen made a call to his mother to ask if he should buy the warranty, he did not have enough funds to buy the warranty so he continued with the purchase of the car being "AS IS". All the paper work was made and in our records and it shows that the customer signed our "Test drive Agreement" and the "AS IS" sheet along with our all other paper with. The customer then drove the car 5 hours back to his home town. The Mazda6speed is known to be a very fast sporty car. Now if the customer tried to burn some rubber or race then it means he could have been responsible for the damage. Since the customer did not have money for the warranty we, the dealership, paid for the warranty. The warranty is very dependent from our business, according the to customer the warranty did not cover any charges. We spoke with the warranty in reasoning in which why it didn't cover it and they said that those cars have a lot of modifications in which if its exposed to fast speed or racing then anything can easily go wrong so the warranty refused to cover it. The customer did reach out to us but since the car was purchased "AS IS" there is nothing we can do. Also taking in consideration that the car is a very fast and sporty, if not handled properly or with care then cars can always have something go wrong. We also recall at the time of the test drive the customer took off aggressively from our location in which our cameras could have captured. So thats why we believe that the car was driven aggressively and the customer was responsible for the damage.
