Thank you for notifying Ross Education, L.L.Cof *** ***’s complaint. Ross is very sorry to hear that Ms*** believes she was given misinformation regarding the accreditation at Ross and transfer of credits from Ross to another college. Ross offers high quality training in
allied health programs at different locations throughout the Midwest and Southern States. We strive to provide, and generally succeed in providing, an exceptional experience for our students. We have reviewed Ms***’s complaint, as well as her student file, in order to best respond to her concerns. Our records indicate that Ms*** enrolled in the Medical Insurance Billing Office Administration program on April 2, and began classes on April 29, 2014. During the enrollment process, Ms*** signed the Applicant Disclosure Acknowledgement (Attachment A) which states “Transfer of Credit: I acknowledge and understand that the transferability of educational credits to another school is determined solely by the receiving institution. No one at Ross implied or guaranteed that coursework completed at another institution will transfer to Ross or that credit earned at Ross will transfer to or be accepted by another institution. I acknowledge and understand some or all credits earned at Ross are unlikely to transfer to other institutions, and that it is my responsibility to find out, prior to enrollment, whether another educational institution will recognize coursework or accept the transfer of credits earned at Ross.” The form also acknowledges Ross is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), a national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of EducationThe Enrollment Agreement which Ms*** signed acknowledges that she received a copy of the campus catalog (Attachment B). Transfer of Credit is addressed on page which states, “TRANSFER CREDIT Ross Medical Education Center is not designed as a transfer institution and does not currently have articulation agreements with any post-secondary institutionsRoss Medical Education Center offers no guarantee of transferability of credits or clock hours to any other institutionThe receiving institution (college) rather than the training institution (Ross) makes the final determination whether or not transfer credits or clock hours will be acceptedStudents should plan that the educational credits and/or clock hours received at Ross will not transfer to another institution.” The full catalog can be view on line at: ***
All students are required to attend orientation before starting classes at Ross. During the standardized Orientation presentation, Campus Directors explain that transfer of credits from Ross is up to the receiving institution. Our records indicated that Ms*** attended Orientation on April 28, Ross Education, L.L.C., is committed to assisting graduates with career development services. To help ensure the success of every graduate, Ross offers job placement assistance at no additional charge. I am pleased to report that upon graduation from the Medical Insurance Billing Office Administration program, Ms*** was hired as a *** *** at *** *** ***. We do not believe that Ms***’s request for a refund of tuition is justified. If you require any additional information regarding this matter, or if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact meSincerely, *** ** *** Executive Vice President of Operations Ross Education, L.L.C*** Phone: ###-###-####
