RossLand Landscaping is very unprofessional and rude.
I had RossLand out to cut my yard twice they showed up on two different days and did not do a very good job weed whacking. I took a break in service and when I decided to resume service I sent an email asking to start my service again.
See my email below (I have removed address and personal information for privacy)
Hello,
I would like to resume service at
_____________
This account should be under ________
Can you please let me know which day you service _______
I would like cutting and weed whacking service every other week.
If you are able to cut as the last house in _______ that would be preferable.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
The response I got was as follows:
Dear ______
Your house located in _______ downtown, it's middle of our schedule.
Like we told your father, We can't guarantee time of service, only day is Monday. Sorry for this. You have small property, it's take us 15 min to cut your yard.
Please let know.
Best regards,
RossLand Landscaping LLC
I felt that this response was a little rude, but decided not to argue with them and assumed they would start service as I had asked in my email. As of Wednesday my grass had not been cut so I emailed asking if there was a delay due to weather as it has been raining a lot and letting them know my grass is now almost taller than my dog. I asked if they were planning to come another day this week.
The response I recieved is below
(Please note they sent the entire email in bold font with no greeting or farewell)
No, we didn't put you in our schedule, because you didn't answer to our previous email and didn't confirm to start service again.
Please review our previous email below:
Dear ___
Your house located in ______ downtown, it's middle of our schedule.
Like we told your father, We can't guarantee time of service, only day is Monday. Sorry for this. You have small property, it's take us 15 min to cut your yard.
Please let know.
Now clearly there was a misunderstanding. I thought asking to start service the first time was clear enough and I did not let them know a second time, but as a company you do not push blame to the customer. All that needed to be said was sorry for the misunderstanding we will be back out on ___ date.
There are a lot of landscaping companies out there you cannot be rude to customers when they have done nothing to you. I will be taking my business to a company that wants it.

I am not sure how you are still in business this has been the most frustrating and extremely rude experience with a company I have had. As you can see from MY previous email I requested you start service. I asked simple reasonable questions about when my yard would be cut as you had come on two completely different days in the past.
You responded rudely, but I decided to let it go. I was unaware I had to tell you I wanted to start service multiple times. There are a lot of other companies out there that actually want my business and I will be taking my business to them.
Our answer was:

Dear _______,
We was cut your grass 2 times and then your father canceled service, due time of day what we came.
Then we received request from you with questions about time.
We sent you email, just make sure you understood why we can't cut your grass in a evening time.
Then we waited your response for our email, if you agree or not with our schedule.
We don't want to start service if you don't like time of service, we don't want to receive complaints about time in future.
Our goal is quality service and happy customers.
For Newark's customers normal lawn mowing day is Monday.
However due to weather (rain), lawn mowing day can be changed to Sunday or Tuesday of current week.
We really sorry for this for misunderstanding.
Best regards, RossLand Landscaping LLC
P.s. her father is our customer (grass cut and landscaping) for 2+ years.

Review: I purchased a Groupon from this company for "Air duct cleaning package and One dryer vent cleaning". When tech showed up for scheduled appointment, he told me the wording in the groupon was wrong, which openly admits it was false advertising. He said he had mentioned this to his boss, but boss "just wants money". He then said for the "package" I payed for, all he would do is blow compressed air in my vents without using any type of vacuum to actually clean anything. In order to hook up his vacuum, it would cost an additional $50 per duct line! This is blatant false advertising. No where in small print did it state any restrictions or anything. I told him to leave and I've already disputed my purchase with Groupon. Desired Settlement: full refund of $42.
