My wife and I researched roofing co's and we received two quality references concerning Grier Sptbg [redacted] was our rep and he was patient with me and my wife as we struggled to agree upon a colorWe finally decided upon [redacted] Architectural Pewter Grey Shingles We had other preroofing concerns like the quality of pipe flashings and ridge vents and [redacted] addressed these and others we had before the replacement process We told [redacted] we would like to have our house roof and our bldg roof work done before Easter and [redacted] said he would try [redacted] Delivered [redacted] , [redacted] Foreman, and his crew came out and removed old shingles, replaced them with the new [redacted] Arch shingles, and cleaned up the trash and debris in the same day They completed our yellow bldg and house in the same day [redacted] and his crew worked very very hard The only way you could tell they had been at our house was the beauty of the [redacted] Architectural Shingles they had left on our house and bldg roofs Thumbs up to Grier Roofing Sptbg, [redacted] ***, [redacted] and his crew, and [redacted] the Office Mgr for providing me and my wife with outstanding customer service In a world where there is more often no customer service, and /or poor quality customer service, Grier Roofing Sptbg and [redacted] and the rest of the company stepped up to the plate and hit a home run If anyone I know asks me for a roofing company I will gladly give [redacted] and Grier Roofing Sptbg's number

Grier Roofing has been one of the most unprofessional companies I have worked with to dateI had a hole in my roof around my dryer vent, and I needed someone to put roof sealant around it as well as replace the pipe bootsI contacted Grier Roofing on Monday, August 20thI man named Brandon answered the phone, and I told him my problem and said I would like an estimateHe said he was a little busy that week, but he would call me back when it was a good time to scheduleFair enough- I was working with several other roofing companies for estimates as wellOn Wednesday Aug 22nd Brandon called me back and said he would be able to come out to my house Wednesday Aug 29th to give an estimateOn Aug 29th, I gave Brandon a call as I was on my way home just to confirm his estimated time of arrivalHe answered the phone and didn't seem to remember ever speaking to me, let alone making plans to come out to my house to give me an estimateHe apologized and said he must have forgotten to write it downI agreed to have him come out on Tuesday Sept4th insteadHe said over the phone he was so sorry he forgot about our appointment and he would be sure to be there TuesdayWell, when Tuesday came and I got home and he was not there yet, I gave him a callHe acted befuddled I was calling and said "I'm not sure who you spoke with, but if I can't get someone to come today when would be a good time?" I informed Brandon it was him I spoke with several times, and I couldn't believe this was the 2nd time he had "forgotten" our appointmentHis response was "well I think the guy who was supposed to come out there today is off work." Really? Not only did he forget about me, he lied to me, because it was him who promised he would be out thereWhat kind of company makes appointments and doesn't write them down or put them into a scheduling system? He then said he would get another coworker, Brian, to come out the very next day and give me an estimateMind you this was now the week before Hurricane Florence was expected to bring in heavy rainsBrian did come out the next day, but he didn't even get up on my roof to see the problem because he did not have a ladder that highWe simply stood in my front lawn and I told him of the issueDespite this, he said he would email me an estimate the very next day to get this taken care of as soon as possibleI never heard anything further from Grier Roofing- not Brandon or Brian or anyone else regarding my estimateThank God I got another roofing company to fix my leakThese individuals are either unprofessional, lazy, or downright dimwitted- all of which are traits I do not want in people working on my home

I needed a new roof because of storm damageAfter several companies came out, I chose Grier RoofingTheir price was the best and Joe provided me with my quote when he said he would (unlike the other companies)There were delays due to weather, but Joe kept me informed the entire timeOn the day of the install, Joe came back out to my home to ensure work was started and the crew knew exactly what to do (the crew foreman was not present)How many other sales guys are going to do this for you?? The replacement was going smoothly, but Joe had to leave to perform his regular job dutiesThe crew became sloppy and left my property a mess, as well as caused some minor damage (I'm told they no longer work there) I was very unhappy and contacted Joe regarding thisJoe came back out to my house and went above and beyond to make every correction he could possibly makeThis man offered to go around my entire home with a magic eraser, in the pouring rain, to remove the scuff marks that were left on my vinyl sidingJoe then put me in contact with Jovane, the office managerJovane came out to my home a couple days later to inspect the work the crew didThere were a couple minor things that I was not satisfied with, but Jovane assured me he would get them correctedHe was true to his wordDuring this entire process, and me being unhappy, Joe and Jovane went above and beyond to fix the problem and ensure I was satisfiedIt was there level of customer service, as well as their dedication to their jobs, that made me completely satisfied with this companyMy roof looks good too! So a big thank you to Joe and Jovane for making an unpleasant experience a truly good one

Grier Roofing just finished my reroof for hail damage The previous roof was less than two years old I was amazed at how much more quickly and carefully Grier Roofing completed my roof They replaced sheathing that had been damaged by the previous roofer and the felt was applied smoothly with well-spaced nails as opposed to the sloppy job done by the previous roofer The job was less noisy this time and I can see that the crew used correctly sized nails for this job which did not dislodge my attic bafflesThe shingling looks so much more professional than the previous roofer and the cleanup was immaculate As anyone who has done work for me can attest, I am a very picky customer I have absolute faith in Jake H***, Grier Roofing of Inman

This company did an entirely new roof over on my home, (not the wood so much, did remove old shingles)Since then I have had to call them on three separate occasions due to LEAKS! These were mostly in the skylights they put inThey were almost impossible to get out here to try and fix thisI called two weeks ago about this SAME problem which was worse as it is damaging the inside of the roof now, the wood, insulation etc and the interior ceilingsI had to call AGAIN as no one respondedThen a "salesman" called me and said he would be out in a few days because he was busyHe has not called back or shown upThe workers who came out to fix this the last time told me it would never hold but the company would not fix it right! Now the current storm hit and not only is it pouring in around the skylights but around the exhaust vent over my STOVE! This is the most HORRIBLE work and response or lack of that I have ever seen from any companyIt has damaged my roof again due to this LEAKI

In June of Grier Roofing replaced the roof of our home and until the recent heavy rains there have been no noticeable problems, however with the recent rains we have developed a leak around the front windows and doorUpon inspection the source of the leak can be traced back to faulty flashing as a drip guardWhen the roof was replaced the installers put the old flashing back in place instead of replacing it with new flashingThe old flashing was of course damaged when they removed it to replace the roof and should have been replaced it with new flashingThe damaged flashing is not diverting the water correctly and is allowing it to trickle down the front of the windows and then to seep under the sidingThis wasn't noticed when the job was finished because there is a tree in a tree wheel at the front of the house that when fully "leafed out" blocks the viewI have called several times and also written to the company and have received a one time limited response that they woul
