I recently purchased a part from Roswell Ford for my 1999 F250 superduty truck, after looking on the computer for the correct part, the salesman tells me the price and that he will have to order it and it would arrive the next day. The salesman tells me that if the part does not work on my truck to return it for a full refund. The part does arrive the next day and I proceed to install it on my truck. It does not work for my truck so I take it off and reinstall the old part. I took the part pack today June 3, 2019 and was told that because its an electrical part it cannot be refunded. This is not something that was told to me when I purchased it, I was only told that if it did not fit to simply return it for a full refund.
The customer's invoice clearly states that there are no refunds on electrical or special order parts. This was an electrical part and also a special order part. Once the bag to the part is broken the manufacturer won't accept a return. That is why we don't refund the part. The receipt also states that if a part is able to be returned there is a 50% restocking fee. Our parts manager that has been in this parts department for over 20 years would not have stated otherwise. Customer is not due a refund simply because he made a mistake on the part he ordered.
