Customers were informed over a year ago when they came in the store the first time that it would expire one year after issue dateThey neglected to come back in and make a selection within that timeBest Regards, [redacted] LasalleCustomer Service

I would love to help this customer but we do not sell that mfg anymoreIf the customer wants to make sure her new mattress warranty stays in place I was trying to tell her to buy the matching foundation from the store that is doing the warranty exchangeNot From Me, unfortunately I cannot help her with this problem

Again, please tell the customer to call the store and ask for a customer service manager to tell them what is needed from the mfgThey were never told they didnt have a warranty

Company responded via phone as follows:Revdex.com spoke with Scott and he stated is intending on fixing the issue in order to resolve the complaint As soon as he has a delivery in the consumer's area, he will schedule the service call to fix the issue

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below This is not accurateWhen we first tried to use the certificate we had agreed on a price for an item and then we were told it was only good on regularly priced itemsWe felt it should be treated same as cash and were disappointed but accepted itMy feeling was that if I was able to talk them down $wo/ a gift certificate then it's actually worthless to begin withSo we then we decided we'd have to find something less than $and at least get some value for our grand prizeThis is when we were told it had expired, only after the year was already up, and only after the salespeople "deliberated" on itIt was clear they did not wish to honor itIn the future if they want to place stipulations on donations they make to charity (assuming they intend on honoring it) than perhaps it should be written somewhere on the certificate to avoid this misleading and upsetting turn of eventsOn top of this, the treatment we received for attempting to redeem their "gift" was belittling and rude Regards, [redacted] ***

I would like to first say Thank you, on Saturday June the 3rd my mother received her end table, Scott the warehouse manager called to setup an appointment for delivery for Saturday morning Again thanks for the follow up I learn a lesson I will never purchase anything from LaSalle but my mother is happy she has what she paid for

As stated previously we would be happy to help this customer and if he is willing to listen to what we need so we can make a warranty claim, we would be happy to helpAll mfg require information like pictures and original copies of invoices (which they had the original invoice) but without proof of a defect (and mfg have rules on what they consider a defect) It makes it difficult for me to helpAgain we only follow the mfg rules these are not our rules for mfg warranty claimsFor all mfg claims I tell the customer to please help me help you

I have enclosed pictures of the indentations of the mattressIf it has caved in more than inch in month, what would any reasonable person expect to happen in one yearPlus, we were told that because we purchased our zippered mattress covers from Walmart, instead of from them, we had NO warrantee whatsoeverSo what should we expect them to do for us? They had never told us we needed to buy the mattress covers from LaSalle, only that we should have themIn fact, the salesman mentioned that Walmart sold them also. Because we are elderly, we do not wish to expose ourselves to the level of intimidation shown to us beforeHowever, if they are honest about being willing to make some sort of adjustment, we would be willing to bring our pictures and copies of our receipts to the storeIf, however, they repeat that we have NO warrantee again, how can they say they are willing to help us?

We would be happy to help the customer and I tried telling the customer we would help them but the mfg requires certain procedures to be followed to do a mfg claim for defectsThe customer refused to let me help them resolve their issuesThen started swearing at me and they left the storeIf they
want to listen to what the mfg requires I would be happy to help them

We are sorry the customer is not happy with his purchase The customer purchased an adjustable bed that only had the features that he is able to use, if the customer wants more features for his bed we would be more than happy to help him put in selecting another base with added features.

response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  This is not accurate. When we first tried to use the certificate we had agreed on a price for an item and then we were told it was only good on regularly priced items. We felt it should be treated same as cash and were disappointed but accepted it. My feeling was that if I was able to talk them down $500 wo/ a gift certificate then it's actually worthless to begin with. So we then we decided we'd have to find something less than $500 and at least get some value for our grand prize. This is when we were told it had expired, only after the year was already up, and only after the salespeople "deliberated" on it. It was clear they did not wish to honor it. In the future if they want to place stipulations on donations they make to charity (assuming they intend on honoring it) than perhaps it should be written somewhere on the certificate to avoid this misleading and upsetting turn of events. On top of this, the treatment we received for attempting to redeem their "gift" was belittling and rude.
