All contracted work was completedThe customer is a liar stating that I swore at himThe video may have had other items on it but it also contained the correct info on his lineHis line was scoured with multiple heads and was much improvedHe was charged correctly after the adjustment which was a simple mistake on the written verbiage in his contract and the result is in his favor since he was charged less than the charge since my tech did not specify that the pumping was hourly after the first hourPrior to his unprofessional verbal abuse I offered to return at no charge to recamera and rerecord his lineThat would now have to be done in the presence of his supervisor or business owner who could control his threatening behaviorregardless as you can see by his signature on the invoice he acknowledged receipt of the services listed to his complete satisfaction and is due no additional work [redacted] roto-Rooter

All I am asking for here is that he deduct the that was promised off of the invoice after they clean and camera the line correctlyThat was what was suppose to happenNone of his responses ever have anything to do with addressing the issues He he is so proud of his work lets put out the video of his quality work of cleaning and camering for more customers to see! That is what this is all about getting what you pay for I am the manager of this facility and yes I did sign the paperwork and have never denied that, but at dollars per hour I was not going to watch the video well a crew of men got paid to see the quality of the work they didI just expected they had totally cleaned line and cameraed the whole line as per quoteI did question serviceman [redacted] a few times when I went out and you can hear it on the video that I was not satisfied with the cleaning of the pipe.I even brought him into the office and showed him pictures of how the company pictures where from previous yearHe was surprised! That is why I told him to wrap it up.My company was going to get into to much moneyThe initial quote for the job was for that is why I went with them they said they could clean and camera and be finished for that amountObviously they could not [redacted]

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I responded to the complaint but don’t see it on the site sothis is a second attempt just in case.Please find attached the second plumbers invoice asrequested in the response. The invoicenotes that they unclogged the sewer not performed during the second Roto Rooterwarranty visit. It also notes that we donot need to replace the drain as informed by the Roto Rooter manager. We renew our request for a refund as they Roto Rooter didnot fulfill the warranty claim and intentionally misled us into believing oursewer was damaged and required an dollar repair

The invoice from the other plumber states that they performed a camera diagnosis for $ They did not cable the line as the customer previously statedWe did cable the line twice including once under warranty and we recommended a replacementWe recommend replacement of all terracotta lines with any separations or shifting since ground water will infiltrate and sewage will exfiltrateWe performed the camera at no charge and honored the warranty with a second cabling as made obvious by the fact that *** *** did not cable but only gave their opinion on the recommendation for replacement at a cost of $for the same camera we did not charge forThe customer received both the initial cabling and the second no charge warranty cabling and as a result is due no refund. The 47.95 is a dispatch fee we charge if they reject our estimate. They proceeded with the estimate to cable the line and paid the standard 298.90 quoted price. We performed the work and they were never charged the dispatch fee. They have and nevrr had and were never told they had a warranty because...

their sewer is infested with roots and needs replaced. They were not interested ina replacement. We did get the line flowing and they signed our invoice indicating their zero warranty and complete satisfaction with our work.noone can warranty a root infested sewer.  No refund is due .

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Their response that they completed a substantial amount of "required work" is incorrect.  They completed digging trenches in my basement for work that was NOT required.  We brought in a second plumber who ran a camera through the sewer lines under our house and the line out to the street, that plumber said there was NOTHING WRONG with any of the pipes.  We have that in writing from the plumber as well as video recordings made by that plumber. If Roto-Rooter chooses to go to court we are have also retained attorneys and will present evidence to dispute their claim of "required work". In regards to settling this matter, we made them an offer of keeping the $1000 down payment, picking up their materials and not coming back.  Should they decide to accept that offer we will not pursue this any further.  Should they decide to take this to court we will file a counter suit for the cost of repairing the basement, our $1000 down payment and the cost of replacing the basement carpeting.

I am glad the customer was happy with the technicians and quality of work. We sell jobs in increments when neccessary since we do not quote a cost to replace a pipe we cannot see or we hope that partial replacement will work for the customer. It is not our policy to quote a worst case scenario. The...

contracts were professionally performed and all contracts with pre-quoted prices were presented,explained,and agreed to in advance. After the work was performed we again met with the homeowner who reviewed the contracts and made final payment. There was still an additional wall to treat which the customer declined so they always had the option to decline or seek other estimates. We deployed many men for many days and used very expensive technology and a lot of material. The larger job had a lot of inside excavation as well as the outside excavation referred to. There are always variables when doing excavation such as the time frame based on ground conditions,the exact amount of materials needed,the total equipment package and many more. That is why we estimate the time and cost and quote a firm price IN ADVANCE for the recommended work. This job required every bit of labor and material and equipment that we anticipated. Strangely in all my years I have never had a customer say they wanted to pay more money than the agreed price no matter how many complications arose with their jobs.These folks are very valued customers who good a very quality job performed  very professionally for contract prices they were agreed to in advance. There is full warranties on their work and we will reach out to them directly to discuss the situation but there is no refund possible.

Our ethics are fine. I am sorry you are not a happy customer since that is always important. You can spend money removing roots on a regular basis but that actually worsens the pipe condition so you will be replacing your pipe. Do not shoot the messenger. Send to my fax [redacted] verifiable proof that you have $70 in charges which I doubt since that would mean that neither payment was good to be processed and I will review the date and times of your overdraft charges and if they are our fault will revisit the refund issue. You are mistaken about the dispatch fee. It covers (not Quite) the expense of sending a bonded technician in an insured truck with time and gas to your home to diagnose your problem and quote a repair. Those costs do not disappear because you at a later date have the money or desire to do the task. It is waived on the same day of original service if you proceed since there is no duplication of tasks. I believe you are being very unpleasant and misstating FACTS and at this point I wish you well and will review documents which I firmly believe do not exist if you present them for review to myself and the Revdex.com but an quite glad you will not be using our services. I guess your signature indicating your understanding of the terms and your complete satisfaction and your current change of tactics and denial of your signature are a good indication of your ethics.                                                  Howard S[redacted]

My Response is:
Item # 3 - Roto Rooter has corrected the invoice with my assistance. They still need to take off initial charge of 47.95 charge for quote like promised.
Item # 4 - There was no restriction in pipe flow at all. With our water permit we clean our pipe every 6 to 12 months and other offices in our company use Roto Rooter in different areas because they have all the equipment to do the job.We gave them a try. I did sign paperwork then looked at a incomplete video. It says right on quote sheet - Camera & flash drive pipe when job is complete.The Line was not completely video, they did not even do half of it. I was handed a flash drive with other customers on it I had to go through and find what was videoed.Looking at video which anyone can look at, you can tell there are junks, debris, etc.... When a line is cleaned it should not have loose debris in it, I do understand some scaling being left.
Item #5 - The video was not a courtesy. I asked for it to be done to the whole line as it says on initial quote. It was suppose to be for the entire line, and not have other houses and businesses on it. I needed to show Vice President of company that is why I requested it..
Item # 6 - I did hang up On Mr. [redacted] after he started swearing and being very unprofessional on the phone line. As I told The Roto Rooter agent who gave me a call.
All that needs to happen is look at video, (I have attached it)you can see the line has debris, solids, and is not clean. We have about 400 feet of line. Does this look like 400 feet of video?

I will need to see an invoice from another registered plumber to evaluate this claim . Please fax or mail a copy of the other Plumbers invoice so I can evaluate the claim and respond appropriately.

Mr.[redacted] states I am incorrect. Enough of the name calling and complaining. Mr. [redacted], [redacted] your service technician came to my establishment for 47.95 and gave me a quote for a job to be completed. The 47.95 was to be taken off of the invoice when work was completed. Was it? NO! Next the quote says hydro-scrub discharge line from manhole down to stream and customer wants camera flash drive when job is complete. Please copy and paste these videos that your company gave me from flash drive give them time to load on google chrome, and tell me if this is what is stated on the quote.

Again,the customer is both incorrect about the mechanics and a liar. He was on speaker phone at my office and heard by numerous people. He is a bully and tries to intimidate people. I would not work for him every six months or any other time and there is no need for me to use word of mouth about this person since I an sure everyone knows what type of person he is. He is correct,there is no need for further conversation.
