I never had an issue with this clinic before the last couple of months It started with my provider telling me that they were sending a referral to see a rheumatologist - after about weeks of not hearing anything from the referred provider, I called Tumwater Family Practice to speak to the referral specialist I was sent to a voicemail - no return call, nothing I received an automated call about days later telling me another referral had been sent and this time I was actually informed where the referral was being sent to so that I could follow up with the referred agency (the automated call was more helpful than the staff) I never did get a call back from either place
The icing on the cake was when I called on 10/17/and scheduled an appointment to see my provider I received an appointment date 10/19/and time as well - a confirmation email was sent to my private email account On 10/19/I arrived minutes early, checked in with the receptionist and she informed me to have a seat to be called back The nurse calls me back, they get my weight, go over my med list, and took my blood pressure Pretty standard Nurse says your provider will be with you shortly minutes go by and a different provider comes into the exam room, doesn't say anything to me, goes to the computer, looks something up, and then proceeds to say, "So I hear you're here to be seen for XXX", I promptly inform her that she has the wrong patient She looked at me and told me that she's behind and I would have to wait awhile to be seen I told her that I had an appointment with XXX The provider left the room About minutes later, my nurse comes back into the exam room telling me that my provider was really booked for the day and that I would need to reschedule I looked at her with disbelief and told her that I have a scheduled appointment She repeated that I would need to reschedule
I was livid Maybe not my most shining moment, grabbed my things, shook my head, and said, "And this is why I'm finding a new doctor's office" and proceeded to walk out of the building I filled out a form to have my medical records to be released to my new provider - never in my adult life have I dealt with such poor customer services I received no phone call to tell me that there had been potentially a scheduling error When I checked in there was no indication at all that there was a double bookingso why on God's green earth would I need to reschedule my appointment Very, very disappointedThat place has gone way downhill, I will not return - oh and I received a nice little letter in the mail today from them regarding the incident - informing me that they will "honor your wishes and stop providing medical care to you effective 10/19/ This applies to Tumwater Walk In Clinic also." The ending of the letter is my favorite, "We will be pleased to assist the provider of your choice by sending him or her a copy of your medical records." Unbelievable! There should be an option to leave no stars - one start is too good for this establishment
They don't care that I have insurance, they don't care that I can pay, they don't even care that I'm sickThey still won't see me because years ago I had a $bill that went to collectionsI was a stupid teenager, but it seems like a lifetime ban is a bit extremeEven your credit report falls off after yearsI can't imagine these people being friendly or kind doctors with a policy like this
I went to Tumwater Family Practice for my Medicare yearly wellness check up on 6/27/When we received the bill we were also charged for an office visit for an established patientWhen I questioned this part of the bill I was told the bill was within guide limits & that was it & we had to pay itDuring the wellness exam the only thing the doctor did was listen to my heart & lungs the nurse checked my blood pressure etcI was sent elsewhere for blood work for annual examThere is no reason this other office visit was charged & we do not think it should be paid! My total time at doctors office was less than minutes
