Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The lies and misleading statements David B*** has presented are reprehensible, but I will respond to his latest comments:1) Enchanted is responsible for any damage that they did while installing the roofPeriodThe warranty states that materials AND workmanship is covered.2) I do not have an issue with my Realtor, that is ridiculous, she is in no way responsible for Enchanted’s poor workmanship and communication.3) To make a blanket statement that insurance companies will “say anything to get out of paying a claim” is equally ridiculousIn fact, my insurance company, USAA, did pay on the claim (minus my $1,deductible).4) I love this new allegation: I tried to “fool” his worker into performing stucco repairsUnbelievableWhen Victor told me that he was the one that did the roof replacement, I showed him the stucco damage and he agreed to take responsibility for it! If David B*** had the courtesy and professionalism to respond to my initial call and came to look at the damaged area himself, he would have seen that some of the stucco was knocked off when the roofers were putting tar where the shingles meet the wall.5) I never said his ROOFING company is responsible for my AC unit, but they are responsible for the leak when the water in the unit had nowhere to drain because his ROOFING company tarred all around the unit; resulting in water leaking through the roof and into the ceiling I truly hope other New Mexicans will not become victims of Enchanted Roofing & David B***’s inability to take accountability for its mistakes and his hostility towards customers when such issues arise

This is very simpleEnchanted Roofing is not responsible for anything except the roofPeriodThe warranty is transferreable for roof defects onlyAnytime we have been called to warrant the roof we have respondedThe complainants issue is with her RealtorInsurance companies will say whatever they can to get out of paying a claimAlso not my issueLast time I was called to warrant the roof the complainant tried to fool my worker into performing stucco repairsAc units and leaks caused by them are not trying responsibility of my ROOFING company

Good morning,In in response to the complaint I'd like to give details on exactly what occurred. I was never contracted to do work for the complainant. I was asked to give an estimate buy a realtor for the original owner of the house for stucco repair and a new roof. Although there was damage to the...

stucco, the original owners decided not to contract my company to do the stucco work. My company was only contracted to do the roofing. The roofing was completed, and an independent inspector hired by the realtor and the original owners inspected my work. All work was passed, and my company was paid  in full for the completed work.My company was notified by the complainant that there was damage to the stucco during roof installation. And inspection was completed and all damage stucco was the results of Prior instances, and had nothing to do with the installation.  I personally spoke with the complainent and explained in detail this very fact. This included the fact that there were inspectors that saw the damage before and after my work was started and completed. The owners decided not to go with the stucco bid. Therefore, the work we were contracted for was complete to the satisfaction of the original parties that my co my company contracted with.

I am rejecting this response because: I am honestly shocked by David B[redacted]/Enchanted Roofing's response for several reasons:  As I stated in my original letter, David B[redacted] told me on April 21st that the name of the customer does not matter, it's the address that counts. So for him now to say that he was never contracted to do work for me, personally, is irrelevant. And not only does he not refer to me as the customer, he writes "complainant" or "complainent" depending on which part of his response you read.  Also, their response says that they replaced the roof, which I did not dispute, but they did not even address the poor work they did that led to a leak and significant water damage in a guest room at my home. An inspector would have missed that because it was not apparent until the A/C unit overflowed and resulted in the water damage which happened because of the poor sealing Enchanted did near and around the swamp cooler. As I mentioned before, I filed a claim with my insurance company, who found Enchanted liable for the damage. As far as the stucco damage, Enchanted claims that after my initial call, an inspection was completed and it was decided that it was not due to the roof installation. That is a flat-out lie. David B[redacted] refused to have anyone come out to even look at the area I was referring to, and it was not until a sub-contractor of theirs came out to try (again) to find and fix the leak, which was on July 13th. That day I showed "Victor" the stucco damage and he agreed to come patch the stucco on July 16th (which did not happen).I believe that the "independent inspector" David B[redacted] referred to could have missed the stucco damage. However, my home has a warranty that states "all materials and workmanship furnished and installed by Enchanted against defects for a period of six years". The stucco damage--that to this day only Victor looked at--was minor;  it would have been a small repair for David B[redacted] and Enchanted Roofing to make in good faith to a new customer.  The manner in which this situation has been handled by them is pathetic and reveals a lack of understanding in customer relations.
