I am rejecting this response because: At no point was I offered a $quote I told them I wouldn't go over $had this been offered this may have been acceptedHowever I have been to another mechanic after having to have my vehicle flat bedded to a mechanic because the Tensioner pulley broke and snapped my Serpentine belt they believe this probably happened due to the mechanics rough driving and the parts being older and they gave out because of the rough road testThis cost me $and they also found that my A frame in the front end was not correctly put back together loose bolts and more from when they removed my transmission the vehicle has only had new tires in the last months and oil changes and why they never checked the transmission fluid has yet to be addressed?

I started a formal investigation as soon as I received the complaint. [redacted] came into AAMCO Transmissions [redacted] on May 22, 2015 with a transmission concern. The diagnostic process found that there was an internal failure within the transmission, it would need...

to be rebuilt or replaced. [redacted] authorized the rebuild that came with a 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty. When [redacted] returned April 22, 2016 he had driven over 28,000 miles. The center manager recommended that he go with a factory remanufactured transmission due to the amount of driving he does. The factory remanufactured transmissions comes with a 3 year/ 100,000 mile warranty. The manager also discounted the cost down $400. [redacted] is welcome to take his vehicle to the other AAMCO Transmisssions for diagnostics. There is a location in Round Rock and also on Burnet Road just south of 183. Both locations have a transmission builder and can diagnose [redacted] concern.

Everything stated in this complaint is true. When Mrs. [redacted]came in with the shift problem all resources were contacted to get informationto correct the problem. Usually the cars computer stores data on what happened. The problem was corrected under warranty.Warranty work was never denied. When Mr....

[redacted] called with aconcern we asked him to bring the car in to tighten any loose bolts and to doublecheck the work. He declined and said he was already working on the car.The constant velocity boots that were worn and leakinggrease were addressed when the transmission was being worked on. The repair wasdeclined. The transmission has a nation wide warranty for 12 months/12,000 miles anywhere in the United States.I don’t understand why we’re being asked to pay for constantvelocity axles or anything that we didn’t replace.

I am rejecting this response because: I am waiting for a response for the reason the transmission fluid was never checked and I want to be reimbursed for the damage to my vehicle that was done by the mechanic from the manner that he drove my vehicle. Next step is attorney.....

The best thing to do at this point is to take your vehicle to the AAMCO  Transmissions [redacted]or diagnostics at no charge. They have a transmission master tech and can better identify the problem and how to fix it. The Cedar Park location has the exit for the toll road and there are a lot of accidents from people exiting too fast.
