Route 130 Car Wash Express Lube Reviews (5)

rt 130 is not responsible for aftermarket parts on vehicles. It is clearly stated in signage before entering car wash..and sun visor is on the list..This was told to customer..

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  There is more damage to my vehicle than just the...

aftermarket parts.  There was damage to my left front fender, Hood and Roof.  Last time I checked my truck comes from the factory with these parts installed.  It is not my responsibility that their car wash malfunctioned.  The problem started way before it got to my visor.  Again all the brushes stopped running popping up over top of my hood continuing going forward squeaking and denting my hood pressing down very hard denting my hood and fender then continuing up my hood squeaking all the way up my windshield until it hit my visor. then to continue pushing across my roof denting it as well.  I still have not received a phone call from the owner and I am furious that he or she can't even man up and speak to a long time customer of this facility.  Fine aftermarket parts aren't covered I'll eat the cost of it but I am not going to let this go in anyway shape or form until the other damage has been resolved...  Also in response to that my vehicle has been through your car wash for years and many others as well without incident talking about 14 years with no incident.  It is your fault your machine screwed up and damaged my vehicle...

Review: On August 5 , 2014 , I brought my [redacted] for oil change . They had serviced the car for the previous oil change . They brought the car into the bay , I went inside the lounge to wait . There are large windows where you can see the car being worked on . The guy who got into the car to open the latch was on the tall and large size , he broke the latch to open the hood . There was another guy in front of the car who tried to then open the hood , when he could not , another employee came over and tried , the big guy got out of the car and started banging on the hood . I immediately went to the bay to get involved and stop them banging on the hood . They then told me they couldn't get the hood to open , I went over to the drivers side and saw the latch was all the way up and the cable connection was hanging out . They called for a guy named [redacted] ( who I later found out was the manager ) he never showed up . I took the car immediately to [redacted] on Rt 130 , they looked at it and confirmed the latch was broken cable was no longer attached . I made a follow up appointment with them as it was time for them to close for the evening . I called my son , he suggested I call [redacted] in Lawrence , they might be able to look at vehicle that night . I called them , they were booked till 9 pm that night , I could bring car the next day , so I did . The cost just to repair the latch and cable , $417.00 . The damage is clearly documented on the bill , broken damaged latch , cable . I went back to the business to speak with the owner , I was met by [redacted] , the manager , who was there that day . He would not take copy of the bill so he could speak with the owner or to contact me back with regard to this matter . He stated that he would talk the the employees involved and find out what happened . I told him I would call back later that day to speak with him to get this resolved . I am being given runaround , no calls or emails addressing damages has been received to date .Desired Settlement: I want them to honor the bill from [redacted] , minus the oil change I had [redacted] perform on the vehicle . The amount of the damage is $417.00

Response:

[redacted] car was brought in for oil change, but we could not open hood. when tech tried to pull latch noticed it was loose, he asked another tech to give him a hand but they could not get hood open.. mgr on duty advised customer of situation and told her to take to mechanic because once hood was opened it probably wasn't going to close

Review: After many times going through their car wash, the plastic mirror casing on my vehicle started with a small crack which started to expand and eventually broke off.

Explaination: The last time I pulled up to the wash bay one of the attendants tried to push in the mirror which caused the plastic casing to split further. By the time I reached the end of the wash bay my mirror broke off hanging by the wires. Before I left the car wash I was able to place the mirror back on the bracket holding it on.

I filled out a quality control form (complaint) with the management at the car wash and my request to be reimbursed was denied because they claim I was unable to prove my mirror broke going through their car wash. However, There is no evidence of the mirror being damaged any other way such as hitting another object.

Unfortunately I can no longer go through this or any car wash because the mirror will fall out of the bracket due to the plastic supporting the mirror is split. I also feel it's only a matter of time when just the pressure of the wind itself will cause the mirror to fall off again.Desired Settlement: Reimburse me to have the mirror replaced.

Review: There was damage to my vehicle as the car wash came to a complete halt and stop of their equipment causing damage to my vehicle from the top brush of the car wash. The brush pushed down into and denting my hood, as the vehicle proceeded there was a squeaking noise across my hood and proceeded squeaking up my windshield ripping of the sun visor off of my truck followed by a buckling sound and denting my roof in disrepair. The car wash did not want to admit to any damage of my vehicle at the time until I made threatening remarks and at that point they said I can fill out a incident claim form which I have obtained and is in my possession. With holes left in my roof from this damaged I was forced to contact my insurance company to prevent further damage to vehicle from water to the interior. I have since gotten an estimate of damage at an amount of $2274 my truck will be going in for repair to [redacted] on 04/07/2015. It is unbelievable that a business that I have been a customer to for years is so unresponsive in this event and very unprofessional. I wish the owner of the company could be a man and at least have the decency and professionalism to speak to me about this matter... I want to speak in person... Tony promised me several times that you would call me...you have failed to respond I am taking this to the next level. I hope that you will contact me and I will not have to take this any further regarding this very serious matter.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology, and also and explanation of why the manager or owner would not contact me in this matter with severe damage to hood fender and roof of my vehicle after several visits and phone calls to this establishment in which messages were left about how urgent it is for the owner to contact me. I would like at least some compensation in this matter
