Company's response below:Good Afternoon, I am writing in response to the letter that was received regarding a refund for *** *** The patient was seen in our office in January to begin a three month programShe did her first visit and then after that we did not see Ms*** again
until April 19th when she came into the office requesting a refundI was more than willing to grant the request of Ms***, I explained to her that the refunds come in the form of a check and that it would have to be signed by our *** who was unfortunately in and out of the country as he has multiple business venturesI let Ms*** know that there was a possibility it would take a little time as we were unaware when our *** would be returning and that I could call her when her check was available and it could be either mailed or she could pick it upPatient then called a few days later where I explained to her again the process and that I would be sure to call her as soon as it’s availableThe patient then called a third time and in this phone call was using vulgar language and cursing at the employee on the phone which is completely unacceptableWith our *** being out of the country it was out of my hands as far as her refund check was concerned but I was eventually able to get in contact with the *** of the company and Ms*** was refunded in cash as an exception She was refunded $due to the written policy that was signed by the patient that if a refund is issued for any reason it will go back to original pricing and since Ms*** used a coupon at the time of payment her refund reverting to $We make no promises as to how much weight our patients will lose during our programs as the medication is a tool for weight loss but does not take the place of a healthy diet along with an exercise routine.
