Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 10, 2016/06/24) */ first things first ALL vehicle's are sold AS IS and this was signed and disclosed to the customer and a signed agreement that there was no warranty or guarantee was signed and disclosed to the customerAs these are a used machine and anything could occur when purchasing a used vehicleWhen I and the owner found out of this issue she had, we had her tow it to us to diagnose the problem she had, it appeared a couple of bolts from the CAM Sprocket came unwound and went through the corner top valve coverthis issued appeared to be a manufactures defectThe customer told us she was told by somebody and also read it was a manufactures defect, and that she was gonna have it towed to a Toyota dealershipAfter her and the vehicle left our property, I the manager of Route Auto Sales never heard from Ms [redacted] againI believe this Vehicle is a manufactures issue, not ours and if the manufacture will not take reasonability for this cam sprocket bolts coming loose and disabling the engine why would it be ours? She also have the vehicle for months how do we know if she was responsible for the damage from the way she drove the vehicle or if she had some one sabotage the vehicle because she was tired of the car or couldn't afford the payments anymore, a lot of people go to extremes because they can not afford there car payments anymore, because why is it she's asking for a paid off new car? Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 12, 2016/06/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I have proof of text messages from owner / manager that we did in fact have a virble agreement that he was going to help fix this with buying all of parts to fix or to buy used engine when that time came he said no if I couldn't afford payments why am I still paying on this car months later and had full coverage on it until months ago if I was going to sabotage it to get out of payments that still means I owe loan why would someone want that I called bank and him letting him know I was going to surrender car awhile after he claims he never heard from me again because why am I going to keep paying on a car that's broke and sitting in my drive way for months I've paid tows and rentals because of the promise he made of helping me fix it I even came up with half the money he said no if he would of said no at the time it happened instead of telling me not to surrender it cause the bank himself and I would be screwed out money and he would help me fix it now months I still have car .he claims he hasn't heard from me since I left property with car I have messages on my phone from him all the way up to the end of April .so I in fact have proof he's a liar its okay though because I've contacted an attorney with all my proof and witnesses and letters from other company's that have dealt with him that he has asked them to do illegal smogs and inspections or to tell a customer the bill was a certain amount so he would make money from it burning people also an ex employee as witness to speck of his fraud Its not right to lie to people and Mikey mouse cars to sell then screw them when they brake

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/27) */
I am responding to the complaint regarding the vehicle sold on 4/20/The customer selected a vehicle that was within her price range ($2,800.00), I believe at that time that was the only vehicle that was in her budgetThe fact that the
vehicle would not pass smog was disclosed at time of purchase, this was discovered while the client was still at the lot and the porter had taken it to "Smog Dog" certified mechanicWe were all informed by the certified the mechanic that the vehicle needed to be driven more, allowing the computer system in vehicle to reset itselfAt that time we were willing to keep it and put the additional miles on ourselves so that it would pass the smog test and the client would not have to be bothered with itHowever, the client and her boyfriend insisted on taking the vehicle and driving it themselves for a reasonable amount of time, which according to the mechanic's instructions miles at fluctuating speeds should do itApproximately a week later the client reported to me that the "check engine" light went on at which time she was then referred to an auto mechanic, Diamond Automotive, it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed a solenoid, mechanic informed me and I authorized the purchase of the part at my expense but due to the model, make and year (Saab)of the vehicle it would take about a week for the part to arriveThe client took the vehicle back home and while we were still waiting for part to arrive, the client returned the vehicle after about one week and insisted she be allowed to reselect another vehicle because she was tired of waitingShe was angry and left the vehicle at my lot, I believe the next day the part arrived, the part was promptly installed and the taken back to the certified smog mechanic and vehicle successfully passed smogI believe I did everything within my control to take care of this customer as promptly as possibleI had the vehicle titled, smogged, registered and back to customer on approximately 5/20/
I take my business very serious and providing good customer service is important, as well as conveying to customers that issues may arise that are unforeseen to the dealer but I will do what I can to resolve and handle all matters that are required by the dealer as promptly as possibleIt is unfortunate that these issues can sometimes occur with pre-owned vehicles but with a little patience it can usually be resolved to the satisfaction of the customer
Best Regards,
Route Autosales

I'm writing on behalf Route Auto Sales, I'm the manager *** And this claim is un-true on all accounts, Mr*** bought this vehicle AS IS and signed an agreement, and was disclosed it was AS IS and There was NO Warranty due to the
fact it is a used vehiclewhen we sold him the car we checked all the fluids and all was goodsome time later he called saying it overheated down the hill and he continued to drive it 30+ miles overheated, instead of pulling over to let it cool down and putting fluids in ithe continued to drive it overheated which caused extreme engine damage, that is and was self negligencethe next day he brought the car back saying he didn't want it anymore and to get him out of the contract which we had no problem doinghe then left the car for a few hours and then came back and picked up the car so we assumed the car was finewe haven't heard from him till nowwhich now its to late to do anything like I said the damage done to the car was from self negligence from Mr***
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 21, 2016/06/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This was only a few days after buying the vehicle,Revdex.com was contacted months ago, this is nothing new.The van was not driven from down the hill, as it would not start, Mr.*** was stuckdown the hill for awhile, this dealer wouldn't know, because they didn't care. The finance company can vouch for the fact that the statement by "Travis" is a complete lie,Mr*** contacted both *** and the finance company several times to deal with it, and *** refused to take responsibility, Mr *** did not just take the van so they could assume everything was fine, what a joke.Phone records and finance company records will prove thatEven with AsIs cars, there is basic laws! There was a huge thread in a Facebook group with many people who had the same exact type of problem with this creep. You dont get away with many lies in a small town bozo*** is known around town by SEVERAL people for being a sg,there was a single mother he took advantage of who could have died because of the car he sold her, while driving with her childrenThe mechanic he pushes to pass *** cars is sick of him, alsodifferent mechanics and the finance company who deals with cars, all vouched for US, that it was not even possible to do that damage in daysThis complaint was filed a couple weeks after the car purchase back in February, now he responds at the end of June lol.The guy who dealt with the office work was incompetent and useless, too
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 25, 2016/06/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is Mr ***days after receiving the vehicle, it blew the head gasket here near *** LaneI immediately stopped the vehicleThe next morning I replaced what appeared to be a ripped radiator hose, that had blown outThere was oil throughout the coolant system already when the incident first happened, meaning it was a pre-existing problemI held onto the radiator hose as evidence to all the oil in the coolant systemThe dealership said it was my probem, that it was sold as is, and that it was my faultI visited the mechanic shop that the dealer uses and of the mechanics said that the dealership owner often tried to get them to cut corners on things that should absolutely not be "mickey moused"(My wife was incorrect in saying that I was down the hill when it happenedI hadn't even gone down the hill that dayShe confused it with another day when I had to try to get my family a working vehicle.) The dealership owner was unwilling to fix the vehicle without charging me, so yes I absolutely was unwilling to do that and I left the vehicle for the finance company to deal withI was going to take this further and subpoena mechanics from the dealer's own mechanic shop, but lost our deposit instead and we had to go elsewhere
Final Business Response /* (4000, 23, 2016/06/29) */
yes everything I said was the truth mr*** left the van he saying he didn't want it anymore and took off walking in the middle of the night he came back to retrieve the van all these names are unnecessary, I was the one who talked to mr*** when he left the van, and the fallowing day it was goneAnd your right why take responsibility for the customer self negligence
