Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below We are not questioning the recall work was needed, it is the additional work of the exhaust replacement, and additionally the $of other repairs we were told we desperately needed We attempted to first have rt Hyundai resolve the problem, they said they could not help us and asked us to contact Hyundai directly...Then we contacted Hyundai and they asked us to contact rt HyundaiSpecifically: "We recommend bringing your concerns to the attention of the General or Service Manager of Route Hyundai as they would be in the best position to assist you." (via their email)To be clear my main issues with rtHyundai are as follows: #Got a recall notice in the mail from rt Hyundai in Taunton, Maregarding a recall on our vehicle When we called rtHyundai they had no record of us buying our vehicle there (which we did) even though rtHyundai sent us the noticeIt took two separate phone calls and three different people just to work out an appointment to come in for the recall#Even though we had no problems with our vehicle prior to this recall I was told that rtHyundai would not allow my wife to drive the vehicle home from the dealership because it was "unsafe to drive" and it took EIGHT HOURS just to work out a rental car before she could leave the dealershipThat is not an exaggerationA full workday sitting in your waiting room And now there was additional work needed that was going to cost us moneyWithout it we could not get our car back So when you say "The customer accepted the work to be preformed" know that the work preformed was not exactly optional#Vehicle was recalled due to a part that lacked a hole to allow proper drainage and was causing premature rust and yet rtHyundai did not mention after replacing the recall part and exhaust that the frame of our vehicle was corroded inches from the replaced part Another mechanic pointed it out and said there was no way someone working on the car would have missed seeing it and the frame is very important on a vehicle#RtHyundai said exhaust, ball joints and brakes all needed to be replaced which was a surprise since we had just passed our State Inspection literally days before bringing it in for the recall RtHyundai replaced the exhaust at a cost to me saying it was a necessary for me to get my vehicle back but I wanted to get a second opinion before spending an additional $on any additional repairs We brought our vehicle into a licensed mechanic and we were told that the brakes and ball joints were not in need of replacement That is also when we discovered the rusted frame that was never mentioned by rtHyundai#When I explained that the ball joints and brakes were checked by an inspection, and additionally by another mechanic we were told that the inspection stations do not really check things thoroughly and are just interested in collecting their inspection fee I had originally been told by rtHyundai "Your ball joints are so bad I can move the wheels with my hand which is very dangerous" but after explaining we had another mechanic look the ball joints we were told by rtHyundai "Well, they move a little when we put a pry bar on them" which was a completely different story#When we came to pick up our vehicle I was told that rtHyundai would return our rental vehicle next door so we left the keys only to discover that the vehicle was not returned that day, and it sat in the dealership parking lot for at least two days before it was returned literally feet awayDuring that time I would have been liable for any damage done to the vehicle in the dealership parking lot since it had not yet been checked inI'm sure I could list a couple more things, but I feel that I have explained myself enough. My experience with Rt Hyundai was a bad oneSo much so that I felt compelled to report it to the Revdex.com I gave rtevery opportunity to make it right and was left disappointedRtHyundai blames Hyundai and Hyundai blames rtHyundai In any case I have a vehicle that was recalled for a part that causes corrosion and there is currently corrosion on the frame right where they replaced the part for the recall (see attached photo) God forbid this corrosion causes an accident

There is no record of this customer at this dealership for serviceCan the customer please provide a reference number?

Dear ***, Sorry for the confusion we will be sending out a check for the $todayThank you for your patienceRegards, [redacted] ***

The only thing I have from the dealership is the work order number which they just provided me with when I called themThe work order number they gave me is [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] I do not feel this is an acceptable responseI have owned the car for years and the first day I drove the car home it had a coolant issueI have the paperwork from the first check when there was supposedly nothing wrong with itLast February it had a coolant leak again that required a repairThis February the vehicle had another coolant leak which required repairDuring this time your service department could not repair it causing damage to the motor requiring a new/used motor be put in the carThe attached photo is how they left the motor in car! I would not let my wife drive this vehicle due to my lack of confidence in the service department which continuously has let me down! I traded the car in at another dealership the next day as I did not have any faith that the engine was installed correctlyThere is in no way I would allow my and 1/month pregnant wife and year old son drive in this vehicleIn turn I had to take significant lose finically due the incompetence of your business! Regards, [redacted]

My car was one of 650,affected by the engine recallI had to wait weeks for my vehicle to be repaired While it was repaired, Hyundai had an arrangement with Enterprise that it would provide a rental car as my loaner vehicleIt was a crappy, flimsy Ford Focus, but I needed a vehicle, so I accepted the loanerWhat I wasn't told, was that I needed to return the rental car within hours of my Hyundai being repairedI was over by day (less than hours of the car being repaired)Knowing I'd be charged hundreds in rental fees for the "extra" day, I called Rt Hyundai and asked that the extra day be waivedThen, I bundled my two babies up (one sick with the flu, one an infant) and drove in a snowstorm in the flimsy Focus to speak personally with the Service Manager to waive the fee I arrived at Rt Hyundai and met with Joie [redacted] From the onset, she was argumentative, belligerent, and obstructiveShe told me she "didn't have time" to listen to or help meShe claimed that she had "looked for John," (the Service Manager) and he "wasn't in today," yet later in the conversation said that "John said 'No' to extending the loaner for one more day." One statement contradicted the next, and she was lying in circles When it became clear I wasn't believing in or being persuaded by her lies, and I insisted upon seeing John, she summoned a man who she claimed was John Now, this person is not on the Rt Hyundai list of employees and, because of the magnitude and quantity of her earlier lies, I don't know if he actually was John, the Service Manager This person had wind-damaged skin, was heavy-set, and had white hair Joie's belligerence paled in comparison to John's! I said to John, "Is there an office we can go to so we can figure this out?" John said argumentatively, "What's there to figure out?!" I was stunned anyone in a management position would speak to a customer in such a manner I said, "I drove through a snowstorm with two babies to return this car to avoid hundreds of dollars in rental fees." John said, "I don't want to hear your excuses And it's not snowing now." At this point, I wondered if this was even an employee, or a thug that hung around the dealershipHe was so aggressive in his mannerisms, I wondered if he was on drugs I said, "Excuse meIt was snowing at 10am That is not how you treat a customer, with such disrespectI have spent hundreds, if not thousands, at RtHyundai over the years." John muttered to Joie, "Give her the keys and paperworkAnd don't charge her for today." Joie threw the keys at me And that is how I discovered that Rt Hyundai had the power to waive the cost of an "extra" day on the rental fee with simply a word, and that everyone I had spoken to in the Service Department had been lying to, or evading me, all along I wish I could say this had been negative interaction with Rt Hyundai We leased the Sonata from another dealership in December 2010, and when the lease was up (December 2015), called Hyundai corporate to see where we needed to go to buy the car outright Hyundai corporate told us we could buy it anywhere, so we called our nearest Hyundai dealer: Rt Hyundai The salesperson answering the phone told us to come down, it wouldn't be a problem She gave her name We arrived shortly thereafter and were intercepted by another salesperson who told us the saleslady we had spoken to on the phone "wasn't available now." So, we sat down with this new salesman insteadHe tried repeatedly to get us to turn in the lease, and lease a new vehicle insteadWe told him we weren't interested; we wanted to buy out our current lease After wasting at least an hour, he left, claiming he'd speak with the "Sales Manager," and then came back, saying we couldn't buy out the lease at Rt Hyundai after all! We stated that Hyundai corporate told us clearly we could buy out the lease anywhereIn response, the salesman said Hyundai corporate, "Must have been mistaken." It was unbelievable! We ended up driving to the original dealership, two hours away, to purchase the car instead Later, we learned that sales staff does not make commission on customers who buy out their leases, which is why Rt Hyundai refused to help: the salesman would not make any money from the transaction If this is how I was treated on these two occasions, how does Rt Hyundai treat its other sales and service customers? How does Rt Hyundai represent the Hyundai brand every day? I have learned my lesson: I will never give my business to Rt Hyundai againAnd I will tell everyone I know, and write every review possible, on every platform possible, to warn others of my experience
