Roy Movers goes through great pains to try to accommodate our customer when a damage complaint is filedWe offered to come out and look at the damage to door and have our repair/carpenter fix itThe customer declined and got the door fixed by someone elseWe offered to pay the price of our repair guy $she refused

This is a response to Customer Complaint # [redacted] It is the Mission of Roy's Moving to provide each and every customer with Professional and Timely Relocation servicesHowever; in the Moving business, sometimes our customers are less than truthfull about the inventory and items being moved This has the effect of causing the relocations to go over the estimated time givenEach customer at the time of reserving the job is given an ESTIMATE as to the cost and time it will take to complete the jobThis estimate is based on a conversation made with the client about their invertory and items being moved.Our moving crews and especially the Foreman of each crew, are trained and very experienced in the ability to see, while on site at the customers home, and to make an accurate determination of the actual time ( the hours and per say the cost) of relocation.The time it takes to complete job is based on multiple factors: number of items, type of inventory, the items to be disassebled and reassembled, materials needed (ie: tape, boxes, shrink wrap etc.) these materials are used in order to protect the customers furniture and provided a damage free moving serviceAlso the location itself(ie: stairs, elevators, distance to truck)The Foreman while on site, conveys the revised estimate and again the estimated total cost of the move to the customerIn this case the customer was contacted as to the truck and crew running late, she was offered to reschedule, but Roy's understands our customers needs as to the reloaction needing to be done on the reserved dateOur crews often are required to work extra long days and hours in order to provide and accommodate our customers relocation needs.Each customer, at the time of reserving the job, is made aware of materials needed such as tape, boxes etcand may add additional costs to the jobA cost list of materials is provided with every contract sent to the client.As in the case of [redacted] ***, the estimate and revised cost of the move was conveyed per the foreman while on siteand agreed apon by the client, prior to the moving services beginning.In regards to actual damages; Roy's Moving is Licensed and Insured, and each and every customer is given the standard insurance coverage requitred by law and is included, at NO additional cost to the client, with the actual cost of the moveHowever; sometimes items do get damaged despite our best effors to avoid them.We sincerely apologize for these incidents and refer each customer to our Claims Company, in order to be compensated for the damages

on august roys moving pick it job from santy cir in lencester ma in to our storage facilty ( please see Attach).mr [redacted] goods stay in our storage untill december on that date delivery we close the deal with mr [redacted] that we will not charch $per hour as in august which is the pick up of our season .we will charge only $per hourby e mail and sign (please see Attach)we had no problem with the pich up date and job, move went nice and smooth, the problem start after mr [redacted] got all the Good to his property he decided to call the cc company and dispute all transaction and charges we send professorial movers that they work hr each guy, total of trucks, (see Attach)as we agree we will NOT charge $239,per hour only $AS WE DID Please review All DocumentThank You [redacted] @ Roy's Moving

In response;The foreman would not know the extent of materials needed until he was on siteTherefore, how could the customer know of this materials charge until the crew showed up?The additional charges for materials is clearly stated on the contract sent to customer and signed for.Secondly, this customer was on a 5th floor, stairs only going to a 4th floor, stairs onlyThe original estimate was given at hrs labor plus hr travel timeThe contract clearly states that this is an ESTIMATE only and may change per the actual time needed to completeThe issue of showing up late in the day has already been addressed, however, again sometime jobs run late which in turn causes other jobs to begin later than originally scheduled for.Thank you

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] There were many untruthful statements made by Roy's moving company in the statement they provided to the Revdex.comFirst, I was only provided movers and not moversSecondly, the moving truck had plenty of room to fit into the drive way and did fit in the driveway comfortably once they readjusted the truck after they ran over the wallThirdly, they have never, ever provided me with the CSI information and have never even mentioned that this company existedI would call Roy's multiple times a week asking to speak to someone about the damages and they would only state that someone will be in touch soonNo one ever was in touchAfter numerous calls I spoke to a manager named [redacted] who said there is nothing they can do I am not only thoroughlyunsatisfied with the move they provided, I am concerned with their follow up and the lies that they have provided to the Revdex.com to try and cover up their mis-management of the situationMy landlord has since repaired the wall and I have attached the invoice for the wall that was repairedRoy's moving company did not provide due diligence during the move and I would like a full reimbursement from Roy's Moving Company to fix the damages that were made Regards, [redacted]

The customer used Roy’s moving services, due to circumstances beyond ourcontrol it looks like the driver damaged a wall retainer as the customertold him to move the Truck in to the narrow driver directed by customerand signed agreements in which the customer agreed to be responsible forany damages
We sent the customer professional movers to make sure themove was done quickly and would not exceed her estimateA few days latercustomer service received an email from the customer with somecomplaints.We have refereed customer to Moving claims services, a thirdparty company that is able to deal with her complaintsThe customer chosenot to file the complaint instead she disputed her full payment on hercredit card for the moving service we provided herWe will gladly assisther with filing the complaintWe highly recommend that the customercontact our Moving claims services at CSI *** *** ** *** *** ***

Revdex.com I am rejecting the responseRoy’s Moving Inchas continuously ignored my complaints and in this instance there is no exceptionIn their response they have omitted to address my grievances and instead have opted to deflect by paraphrasing the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations (which ironically they do NOT abide)Coercing costumers onto signing blank documents and holding property hostage are illegal practices fined by the FMCSAOn the bright side, their response lets me know that they are fully aware of the FMCSA regulations and that they are intentionally and knowingly violating itThere is no doubt that this is a rogue moving company that has been scamming people for a long timeI would like to receive the Revdex.com’s help so that I can appropriately report this business as a scamIn addition, if possible, I would strongly petition to the Revdex.com to follow up with the FMCSA regarding these issues as the recent spike of complaints against this company to the Revdex.com demonstrates that Roy’s Moving’s unethical and dishonest practices are not an isolated event but instead the normIf you are reading this because you are a scam victim of Roy’s Moving, I recommend you also submit your complaint to the FMCSA (for infovisit *** or call 1-***)You may have to contact your local FMCSA in the event that the move was within the same stateIn the event that the FMCSA investigates Roy’s Moving, they will be fined for every day they committed a violationThis scam has to stop. It is made clear to every customer they must cancel within hrs of the scheduled date in order to receieve a full refund on the depositRpys will allow customers to change the move date at no charge

The Roy Movers have not contacted me with this offer or any other offersThe offer to send someone to inspect the damage came weeks after the damage was done and the house in the process for sale, therefore I had to have another carpenter fix the damage in a timely manner.I am willing to accept this offer of $and withdraw my complaint once the payment clearsPlease advise as to what the best ways to accomplish this.Sincerely,*** ***, MD

Hello,First of all, the decision to not use extra materials was of the moving crewI did not make special requests regarding the tapes, etcit's up to the movers to take precautionsSecondly, I've never heard of a couch being taped so I do not see how tape would helpThe damage happened when the couch was pushed with full force through the doorIt's an absolute fault of the company.Furthermore, my complaint regarding the overcharge was never addressed.
