Miss Valles came to our facility with her Hyundai on 5/14/15 as stated. There wasn't enough oil in the crankcase to register on dipstck, the oil we drained was thick and black. These symptoms indicate a gross lack of proper maintenance. We recommended an oil system flush which is designed to flush...
contaminants from the motor prior to the oil change thereby avoiding immediate contamination of the new oil. Unfortunately there is no way to tell if the condition has progressed to a point where there is solid deposits within the engine. If however that condition exists the symptoms she's explaining are likely to happen with or without the flush. A full crankcase of fresh oil (which also contains detergents) can stir up solid debris and can clog oil passage ways. This vehicle's issues are not due to an oil system flush or an oil change, they are caused by not adhering to manufacturer recommended service intervals. I would also recommend running a Carfax report on the car's VIN# because the condition of this oil is unusual at the mileage shown on the odometer. Thank you, [redacted]
Review: Took the car in for an oil change. Service told me they recommended a clean to clean out the engine because there was a lot of build up so I told them it was fine to go ahead. Car was fine when I left but as soon as I got home I heard the car making a knocking noise. Had my brother come look at the car turned on the car he heard the knocking and then the car just turned off now the car won't start. Called back letting them know my issue and they said the knocking noise was there before they did anything but they never told me anything about the knocking noise and I asked them why didn't they mention it before they even touched the car and the guy said he didn't hear it until after he did the flush. I called Hyundai and they said it must of been the flush that messed up the engine because they knocking was not present before the oil changeDesired Settlement: Them paying for the car to get fixed and the money I spent on it for the flush and oil change.
