There is not an issue with this guy The problem is that the third party [redacted] was handling this job for him and yes there was a change order that was not approved by the home owner because it was handled thru the third party We only have a signed contract with the home owner for the original amount and that is all we can collect on at this time The change order was a much needed addition to make the sewer complete As the workers made the original correction there was not proper grade which would hold solids in the line so we contacted [redacted] and left several message with him to move forward and we could not leave the line in that condition We did send an additional invoice to [redacted] however, [redacted] called us back and said that the home owner was not going to pay it since he did not approve it

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below We are very disappointed in Royal Flush's responseAll we have asked is that Royal Flush justify the labor hours billed with dates and times, and once again, they're unwilling to supply that information If we are expected to pay 1/hours plumber labor and hours helper labor we feel it's not unreasonable to be supplied with this information In their response, [redacted] states on the first day Alan stopped in and looked at the job, then returned later with lumber & other materialsThis is not disputed; 1/hours IS disputed, as he was here less that hour total that day We have been told that shopping is considered billable time but 1/hours is unreasonable & excessive, as we had already purchased the shower kit & faucet set The second day of the job is not disputed because they were here We're unsure what is being referred to when in their response Royal Flush states Alan told Jim (me) that I would not be charged for the time spent talking with the other contractor from another job I (Jim) was not at this location that day and had no contact with Alan The concern that Alan spent over an hour talking to this contractor in our driveway after our job was completed was voiced to [redacted] , who downplayed it and stated "I will talk to the men about talking excessively" We would like to see the times that justify the billing of hours plumber labor & hours helper labor for the last day when by their own response they state they only set the shower walls and installed the faucet that day The plumbers helper informed my wife ( [redacted] ) the job was finished when they had been here less than an hour July was our moving in day & if Royal Flush had been here for the hours we are being billed for their van would have been in the way of moving trucks The moving company can verify they were not here If we had agreed to a bid price, the bid price would have been paid & not disputedSince the job was run at "time & material", we are requesting justification of the "time" Simply stating hours plumber labor and hours helper labor does not prove "time" Regards, [redacted]

IN RESPONSE TO [redacted] COMPLAINT, THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED. WE DID CALL HER WITH A $1400.00 REPAIR BILL (WHICH IS NOT UNCOMMON),EXPLAINED TO HER WHAT WAS NEEDED, AND SHE SAID GO AHEAD AND DO IT. OPINION. BY THAT TIME THE REPAIRS ON THE CAR WERE ALMOST COMPLETE.IF NEEDED WE CAN OBTAIN THE PHONE RECORDS TO CLEAR THIS MATTER UP. I CAN ASSURE YOU EVERYTHING WE RECOMMENDED WAS NEEDED TO REPAIR HER 12 YEAR OLD CAR. WE WERE GRACIOUS ENOUGH TO ALLOW HER TO MAKE PAYMENTS , WHICH WE DO NOT  NORMALLY DO. I spoke to [redacted] and listened to his concerns.  I then spoke with the plumber who worked on the job.  Alan has been a licensed plumber for more than 30 years.  We had 15.5 hours plumber labor and 12 hours helper labor billed to the job.  In this time, we stopped and looked...

at the job that  [redacted] wanted us to complete.  Then [redacted] went and bought the lumber and other material needed and then returned items to the job site that day.  The next day we returned and removed the claw foot cast iron bathtub, cut up the floor to reroute water lines and drain lines to install a new shower unit to take the place of the claw foot tub.  We framed up the shower pocket for the shower; set the shower base all on the second day.  We returned the following day to set the shower walls, install the shower faucet and test out system for leaks.  We cleaned up work area and our job was completed. The homeowner was responsible for floor repair and hanging drywall.  As for the shower head, they are not installed until drywall has been installed. In regards to our plumber speaking to another contractor, yes, Alan did do this and he told [redacted] he would not be charged for that time.  [redacted] was not charged for the time; it was charged to the contractor for the job we were getting ready to start.  We were originally going to give [redacted] an estimate price and he called back later requesting the job be run at time and material.  To be honest, if I had bid the job it would have been higher.Alan did a great job in the time that we billed for.  In no way do I feel [redacted] was overcharged.  I am sure if [redacted] brought several licensed plumbing contractors in, the price would be higher than he was billed.  I feel there is no reason to reduce my fair bill.  Please note, we billed [redacted] at a reduced rate for a savings of $139.50 from our regular plumbing rates.

Dennis R[redacted], of Royal Flush Plumbing is a competent, courteous, reliable plumber. Most important, he's honest! He'll not mislead you into supposedly more service than you truly need nor will he overcharge you. I learned of Dennis when I publically asked fellow members of the Y's Men of Meriden. After the meeting, three members enthusiastically recommended Royal Flush. They were right and I was grateful. And, I'm certainly grateful to Royal Flush for promptly fixing a couple of nettlesome plumbing problems.

They did not get charged for Alan's time while talking to contractor and Alan told him this . They had the shower yes. They did not have the wood and other materials to build the shower pocket that was needed for the shower they bought so Alan went and picked material up. Just as he and Mr.[redacted] agreed on the best option for shower. We were more than fair with our bill. We offered to give him an Est. Mr. [redacted] called back and said do job T&M. I have gotten a letter from the Indiana Attorney General So we will respond to them.  Revdex.com thank you for trying to help.

Our customer [redacted] is making a false complaint because she feels that she should not have to pay her bill.  She hired our company to install a couple fixtures which we did.  After the job was done, she called our office and said that we needed to return to the job because our...

plumber did something and now her dishwasher would not work.  After speaking to our journeyman plumber, I called her and said that we did not do any work related to your dishwasher.  I then told her that I would be more then happy to send him back out to check on your dishwasher and if it was related to anything that he had done, we would make it right at no charge and if it was any other issue we would have to charge her a minimum service call.  She said that we better not charge her because it is something we did and after going around and around with her she finally agreed to have us out and she said she understood.  I then told her that I would have a plumber back out within a day or two (no longer). She said that will work, she will be there.  I called and got her voice mail on the day that we have her scheduled (the second day) and left a message stating that we had her on the schedule and we would be there mid to late morning.  Upon the arrival of our plumber.  [redacted] met him at the door and said "Oh I was going to call you but I wanted to run the dishwasher a few more times before I did to make sure it was working"  our plumber went in and looked at everything and verified that it was working properly before leaving the job.  There was nothing wrong with the dishwasher and it was indeed working properly upon arrival.  She did not call to cancel the appointment and she said she was sorry she didn't call us.  Our office staff sent her a bill and this is what upset her!  She does not want to pay for the minimum service call that she agreed to because she was sure that we did something wrong.  Royal Flush Plumbing Co, stands behind all our work and we do not send plumbers across town just for fun, nor can we send plumbers across town for free.  This was a service requested by [redacted] and not she doesn't want to pay her bill.

for the original amount and that is all we can collect on at this time.  The change order was a much needed addition to make the sewer complete.  As the workers made the original correction there was not proper grade which would hold solids in the line so we contacted [redacted] and left several message with him to move forward and we could not leave the line in that condition.  We did send an additional invoice to [redacted] however, [redacted] called us back and said that the home owner was not going to pay it since he did not approve it.

We are very disappointed in Royal Flush's response. All we have asked is that Royal Flush justify the labor hours billed with dates and times, and once again, they're unwilling to supply that information.  If we are expected to pay 15 1/2 hours plumber labor and 12 hours helper labor we feel it's not unreasonable to be supplied with this information.   In their response, [redacted] states on the first day Alan stopped in and looked at the job, then returned later with lumber & other materials. This is not disputed;  4 1/2 hours IS disputed, as he was here less that 1 hour total that day.  We have been told that shopping is considered billable time but 3 1/2 hours is unreasonable & excessive, as we had already purchased the shower kit & faucet set.  The second day of the job is not disputed because they were here.  We're unsure what is being referred to when in their response Royal Flush states Alan told Jim (me) that I would not be charged for the time spent talking with the other contractor from another job.  I (Jim) was not at this location that day and had no contact with Alan.   The concern  that Alan spent over an hour talking to this contractor in our driveway after our job was completed was voiced to  [redacted], who downplayed it and stated "I will talk to the men about talking excessively".  We would like to see the times that justify the billing of 3 hours plumber labor & 4 hours helper labor for the last day when by their own response they state they only set the shower walls and installed the faucet that day.  The plumbers helper informed my wife ([redacted]) the job was finished when they had been here less than an hour.  July 30 was our moving in day & if Royal Flush had been here for the hours we are being billed for their van would have been in the way of 2 moving trucks.  The moving company can verify they were not here.  If we had agreed to a bid price, the bid price would have been paid & not disputed. Since the job was run at "time & material", we are requesting justification of the "time".  Simply stating 15.5 hours plumber labor and 12 hours helper labor does not prove "time".
Regards,
