Review: The vendor told me that the product is a 8 mm F/2.8 lens, a new product present a few days ago in Las Vegas Photoshop Fair,I'm not aware about photography, it was a gift for my wife, when she oppenned the box we discoverred that it was a single filter. After investigation on internet we saw that the real value is less than 10% of the price paid ($450), and that it's a widely used swindling with foreigner tourists. The vendor also sold me a converter for $400 with the same real value, anf offer me an UV filter invoiced $50.Desired Settlement: we can provide back products in order to be refunded.

Review: COMPLAINT: Overcharge and several other deceptive practices on June **, 2013 I went to NYC to see my sister appear at [redacted]. I took my Canon point & shoot, camera that cost $109 at [redacted] (including battery and charger). Unfortunately I left my new battery charger at home. So, with a dead battery on the fateful day of the big performance at [redacted] I strolled into Royal Gift & Electronics at [redacted] hoping to purchase a charger along with an extra battery. They did not have the official Canon parts in stock but did suggest aftermarket substitutes. I said “fine, I’ll take them.” (These two parts sell for $12.99 and $14.99 at other camera stores in the city.) Now comes the good part. When asked if the sale was to be cash or credit, I offered my [redacted] debit card. A [redacted] transaction slip was presented for my signature in the amount of $304.83. (The salesman had moved the decimal point so that one item was now priced at $129.99 and the other at $149.99; then add sales tax of $24.85 for the total charge). Not noticing the ten-time increase in price I duly signed the receipt. But then, upon looking at it, realized the deception and demanded that a credit be issued. When challenged, the salesman notified me that all sales were final. After protesting more, he reminded me that I had never asked him what the actual final price would be, and that a credit for $304.83 would only be issued by the store if I would agree to pay the “reduced price” of $239.00. Fearful of the threats and figuring that I could at least salvage $66.00 in [redacted] billings, I signed. For a $28 sale, I had just been overcharged by more than $200. Yes, I should have made a big scene and called a cop. But frankly, I was afraid of the clerks and embarrassed at being duped. These retail predators are doing this on a daily basis and it is the equivalent of armed robbery. I am complainging to help others avoid the deceptive and unlawful practices that this store engages in, they are as follows:. • Overcharging. • Refusing an exchange, return or refund: NYC businesses must give refunds on unused, undamaged goods within 20 days of purchase. • Not posting prices or providing a complete receipt: Receipts must be itemized.Desired Settlement: Credit overcharge of $208.54
