February 27, 2016, the customer came to my salonShe requested that I do not touch her root color and leave the roots the way they wereHer roots were a medium brownShe wanted me to continue the color and as it went down it would go lighter to a blond at the endsI told her that it was called ombreShe agreed to the recommendationI did nothing to her roots and proceeded to complete the ombre procedure to the rest of her hairWhen I was done styling her hair and showed her what I had done, she said that she was happy with the service and paid $On March 1st, she called to ask if I could do something with her rootsShe felt that her roots did not blend in well with the rest of her hair colorI told her that I could fix it for her that same dayShe said that she could come by after schoolHer friend, ***, also called me to tell me that her friend just needed the roots lightenedI told her the same, that I could do it that dayAt 5:p.m., the customer called to notify that she was on her way along with ***I waited for them and at 6:they still had not arrived or calledI called *** and she told me that they were stuck in traffic and would not be able to make itShe told me that I could go home and that they would call me another day to set up an appointmentI waited for a phone call and did not receive oneOn Saturday, March 5th, the customer arrived and I was really busy with other customers waiting for meShe said that she wanted her money back because she was not happy with the work that I had doneI thought that she was there so that I could lighten her rootsI told her that I couldn't refund her money because we had agreed that I would lighten her roots and fix anything she wantedI also told her that I waited for her the previous date and they had told me that they would set up an appointmentI told her that I would have refunded her money in the beginning, but she did not request thatShe started detailing all the things that were wrong with her hair and showing me picturesShe mentioned that she had to go to another salon so they could fix the problemsShe then asked to at least get half the money that she paidOne of my customers, ***, told her that I was really busy, many customers were waiting for me, and she was taking up their time*** told her that she should set up an appointment to be able to talk to meShe said that she was going to sit down and wait for meWhile she was waiting, *** asked to talk to her outside*** and her walked out and talkedThe customer left and *** came backI asked what had happenedShe told me that she had told her that she was not going to bother me anymore, and gave her advice on how to act the next time this happens.I care a lot about my customers and my workI was willing to fix anything that she believed was not done right, but she did not give me a chanceShe went to another salon without giving me an opportunity when that is what we agreed onI am concerned about this situation because I do care about my customers and how they feel when they walk out my salonI am wondering what would be the next stepafter you receive this letter?
