Two days ago I phoned Royal Oak Optical to make an appointment for an eye exam to determine whether my current eyeglass prescription could be improved upon They got me in the very next day (yesterday) Dr O'Brien was the optometrist that performed the examination She was very thorough, spending a lot of time with me, trying very hard to improve upon my current prescription In the end, only a small improvement could be attained Rather than try to sell me new eyeglasses, she recommended that I wait until after having future cataract surgery as my prescription would change at that time anyway Dr O'Brien and the other staff at this business were all quite professional and a pleasure to deal with I have already recommended this business to two friends
My wife and I had "comprehensive" eye exam (that is what they call their exams) I paid our *** bill (for both of us)There was a possibility we might get glasses on lineI had to ask for my prescription and when I got it there wasn't a PD (pupil distance) on the prescriptionWhen I asked about it, I was told that wasn't part of the exam, but that they would only measure it if I ordered glasses from themI questioned if there were other eye exams (perhaps that would provide all the required information to order glasses) I was told this was the only exam offered
Needless to say, we left very disappointed!!
