Royal Palace Indian Restaurant

Last night I brought my brother and friend to this restaurant because we felt like eating good quality indian food. Albeit expensive ($23 for a buffet, when generally buffets are $15 max) Royal place is one of the few indian restaurants that serve dinner buffets. This was not my first time here. I had been here before and had extreme issues and concerns with the quality of food here. One of their dishes (pani poori) had water in it that was rotting and rancidity bad. I immediately complained about it and expressed my concern on how it could get people sick. They got it removed and taken care of immediately. But I did also notice that the freshness of a lot of items were questionable. I would expect something like this at a budget, low end diner or buffet, but for a restaurant that calls itself fine dine and charges an arm and a leg, this was unacceptable. I went back home and left them a review on [redacted]. They invited me to come back and try again.

So that brings us to last night, we went there for dinner buffet and there were at least 4 items that were indelibly stale (coconut chutney, soy nuggets, tandoori chicken, paneer masala). At this point, we just respectfully paid for our meal and understood that reviews and complaints does not matter to them. Today I spend my entire day in bed with a bad stomach bug. I have been sick all day, throwing up and dealing with bad stomach.

Royal palace has a strong clientele and reputation, so they don't care about quality or customers. I am honestly really surprised that they are still flying under the radar and getting by with serving such substandard food for premium prices. Someone needs to question them regarding the freshness of their food, to me it pretty much looks like they recycle the same food every night!
