Royal Pro Hearing installed a furnace and hot water tank for us. The technician did a nice, clean job. He was very friendly and efficient. And they have very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this company!

We first used Royal Furnace in September 2017. Andrew is very professional and was able to diagnose and fix the problem we had without incident. In fact, we called him in the morning and he promptly arrived at the end of the day to come and troubleshoot the problem and fix it all in the same day.
We had the pleasure with working with Andrew again this month due to a leaky hot water tank ( overflow valve). He subsequently had to replace the water pressure regulator bc ours was running double the recommended pressure. Andrew is punctual, reliable and I do not hesitate to recommend his services to you.

My Dad's furnace was not working in Sept 2018. I called Royal Furnace and the serviceman arrived on the same day to do the work. Great response time! He determined pretty quickly that the gas valve was faulty and he had a replacement in his truck. I reluctantly agreed to the price of $650 because I wanted the furnace fixed so my *** father would not be without heat overnight.
After he left I did a little research and found out from a retired gas fitter that the retail price of the valve was about $100. It turns out that I got charged approximately $550 for his service call with 1.25 hours of labour.***
I'll never recommend them or use them again.

Sorry for the delayed reply, unfortunately I missed this review for some reason.
The price I gave you for gas control valve was a very fair price and you can try calling other companies and see what their prices are, most will be around the same price range. I came over late in the evening and didn’t charge you extra for that, just a regular service charge (diagnosis) and part and labor, including tax. I’m sure that part you’ve mistaken for another as it can’t be $100. The cheapest one online is almost $300, plus shipping and time.
I tried calling you to explain the situation as I got no answer. It upsets me to know you were not satisfied, but for sure I gave you a fair price.

My Dad and I specifically recall that it was an afternoon appointment and my Diary confirms this with time blocked off in my calendar from 2-4 PM on Sept 13, 2018 which allowed for my travel time from my home in Coquitlam to Burnaby return. You did not come in the evening as you stated.
The *** gas valve model *** which was installed can be purchased at *** for $160 plus tax (Oct 31, 2019). This is the retail price quoted to me. They are a wholesale parts supplier to contractors and most of their sales are to contractors. The wholesale price to contractors is substantially lower. The part does not cost $300 as you stated.
There was easy access to the gas valve and no problems were encountered. Internet search confirmed for me that you did this within the expected time for such a job. You informed me that your call out rate is a flat $99 (you were working in the neighbourhood that day, so that was to your benefit).
It is reasonable to say that a business such as yours can purchase the part for less than $150 with taxes included. The balance of approx. $500 (with taxes) for a service call out plus 1.25 hours labour is excessive and certainly not a fair price in my opinion.
