There are MANY reasons why this company only got 1 star! From the moment we signed the contract the lies and avoidance began. They asked for 100% payment up front and it was a battle when we told them we would give a deposit not the whole amount. I was given a date multiple times, it took them 4 months past the agreed upon time to begin my roof! The only way we found out anything was we had to call and text multiple times inquiring, they never reached out to us with information. They had to come back twice to fix errors they made. One of their workers continually talked trash about the company and tried to get us to use him on the side for the rest of our work, how professional?! They never did an inspection on the roof, I called multiple times and they continually told me someone would call to schedule and yet 1.5 yrs later STILL no inspection!

I am a new homeowner; I, ***, bought my house on June 26, 2018 with my finace, ***. Our roof started leaking after a big storm on January 23, 2019. I started a new homeowners claim regarding wind damage and missing/creased shingles; upon further inspection, we noticed mold in our attic where the leak was dripping inside. The leak ended up causing a water bubble in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms upstairs.

We contacted Royal Roofing ( ***), and we have a SIGNED CONTRACT saying they are the ones to complete repairs. I went through our Homeowners Insurance, and I was told by them that it had to be completed before June 26, 2019, in order to continue having them for insurance.

After not hearing from ANYONE with Royal Roofing for almost a month, shingles got delivered. Weeks go by, and nothing was touched. Finally, after complaining nonstop, they sent someone over to do the exterior of our roof. They damaged our gutters during the process, trashed our yard, refused to clean anything up, and they only put shingles up on maybe 2/3rds on our roof. After another week of asking when are they going to finish the exterior, I was told the INSURANCE COMPANY did not order enough shingles to complete the job. About another week or two goes by before my house is even fully shingled. I get told after that everything is completed, and they ask for their check. I refused to give it to them because they hadn't even touched the interior of my house. I finally got ahold of someone saying they are to fix the interior bubble and repaint the ceiling. After missing two days of work due to them not showing up for their scheduled appointments, I finally tell them that I cannot afford to miss any more work and that they need to come on the weekends.

Another couple of weeks go by, and someone comes to do the interior, four hours late, but I was glad to finally see someone. The bubble was cut out, insulation replaced, and ceiling was painted. NO ONE HAS TOUCHED ANY MOLD OR REMOVED ANYTHING ELSE.

I was told they were COMPLETELY done, and they are waiting to get paid. I told them that I was not paying for incompleted work. They told me that there is no proof of what was already there before and deny any new leaks. I have photographic proof of all work before and after, time and date stamped, before and "after" pictures of EVERYTHING including many messages and unanswered phone calls. I have mailed all documentation, emailed it, and text it to every Royal Roofing number/email/address I have, and nothing. NO RESPONSES.

I am at a loss, and I do not know what else to do. I am getting fines for not having these repairs done on time, and I am trying to fight them...

I appreciate absolutely any help at all. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration

Do not use this company they have sells people that come to you neighborhood promising that they will deal with your insurance company and will handle everything. They get you to sign contract then the fun begins. They took over 4 months to start work no communication in the delay wouldn't return calls or emails. No one will give straight answers. They stopped answering calls and the calls would go straight to a full mailbox. Couldn't find the office to go and talk to anyone and if you could get a phone call through they couldn't tell you the address to the office. Left dozens of nails in yard, broke stuff in my yard, and have ceiling damage. Left numerous emails about the issues as well as emergency room visit since I stepped on a nail and no response. I’m in the process of dealing with a real estate attorney about this and other issues I have had with this company.

The service with Royal Roofing and Restoration was exceptional. Matt and Colby worked to identify damage to my roof, help us file the claim and even met the insurance inspector to ensure they agreed on the storm damage to my roof. These guys provided old fashion customer service!!! I had a check in my hand to pay for my roof in less than 2 weeks. If that weren't enough, their crew came out and did a great job roofing my house. They were fast and used excellent products. The experience far exceeded my expectations in every way.

On June 9th, 2017 I signed a contract with Royal Roofing and Restoration to replace the roof on my house at 213 Trish Drive Crestview, Florida 32536. The contract included replacing up to 3 sheets of plywood decking, synthetic underlayment, up to 20 feet of ridge vent and reflash the chimney with new Step Flashing (copy of contract available).
The work began on or about 6 September 2017 and the Crestview City Inspector completed the required inspection on 21 September 2017. Final payment to Royal Roofing and Restoration was made on 29 September 2017 of $14724.15.
On 8 October 2017 heavy rain brought a leak onto the ceiling of the hall and 3rd bedroom (Photos available). I called after hours number and received a return call from ***, a Royal Roofing employee. H stated that he would get with *** the Project Manager to visit the house and check the leak. About a week later I called *** to find out the results of the inspection and I was told by *** that the leak was windblown from an improperly installed flashing. It would not be covered, and no arrangements were made to fix the leak. I asked *** to meet me at the house, so I could show him the damaged wood on the inside of the roof. About a one week later he met me at the house and we inspected the roof from the inside around the chimney and outside around the chimney. I pointed out the water damaged plywood and mold growth from a previous small leak (photos available). I asked him about replacing the damaged wood which should have been replaced as per the contract. After talking to him he was going to pass on what he saw to the owner and get guidance of what is to be done.
Two weeks later I called to follow up and I was told that the roof would be repaired and that the shingles had been ordered. It is now mid-November. I called *** about two weeks later to get an update and *** told me that the Tamko shingles are special order and would take a while to arrive. I call two weeks later, and *** told me the shingles had arrived and that he had a guy working near my house and as soon as he was available he would get him to do the repairs. It is now mid-December.
I called the following week and left a message. I called one week later and left a message. I called the next day and left a message. None of the calls were ever returned.
By this ***e it is the beginning of January. I called *** on January 9th and the 10th 2018 left message. I called the office in Tallahassee on January 10th and talked to ***. He contacted *** and *** told me he would have a guy out within a week. On January 22, 2018 I called *** and he informed me that he thought someone had meet with me for the repairs. He again told me he would contact *** for an update. On January 31, 2018 I missed a call from ***’s phone number, no message given.
I called *** on Feb 6 2018 and it is at this point that talk of not repairing the roof started. For 4 months I have been stalled and delayed and promised repairs. NOW Royal Roofing is telling me that the repairs are not their problem because it was builder error putting in the flashing. I called *** on 7 February 2018 to get an update on the repair. I informed him that I had pictures of the damage and I emailed the pictures and the information in this complaint (photos available). I called on 9 February 2018 and talked to ***. He stated that the Owner of Royal Roofing (***) and *** were in the area and left a message with them to meet me. No meeting or phone call took place.
On 10 and 11 February 2018 heavy rain brought more water into the hall and 3rd bedroom expanding the damage to the inside of the house. On 13 February 2018 I called *** and he again told me that *** and *** were in the area and they would contact me to inspect the damage. *** also gave me *** phone number and I called the owner and left a message. No return call has been received.
There was a small leak that caused damage to the roof decking prior to you replacing the roof. By contract that wood should have been replaced. The new roof created a larger leak brought by rains on October 8th, 2017 and 10/11 February 2018. The leak was clearly made worse by the roof replacement.
Item 1 of the contract states replacement of up to 3 sheets of plywood free and $50 after. No plywood was used during repair. Item 8 states, REFLASH THE CHIMNEY WITH NEW STEP FLASHING AS NEEDED. Royal Roofing claims that the flashing was not installed properly and that this is the cause of the leak. If the chimney flashing had been inspected and replaced as per the contract the improperly installed flashing would have been repaired and the leak would not have happened.
At this point no one from Royal Roofing has contacted me about this matter and I have no way of applying a temporary seal as I do not know how the water is getting in. They have not even offered to fix it for a fee. They just stopped all contact.
