Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:there has not been a hail storm at my house since long before my roof was replacedthe communities he refers to are several miles from my house.it can rain down the road and not at my house.if you read his original response he says my son was in the attic and said it looked like the roof has been leaking for a long time,he has given a five year workmanship warranty.this is much less than five yearswhat is bad is he could have come and fixed the leak a lot quicker than answering this complaint Regards, [redacted]

I *** *** Srdid recieve a phone call from Mr*** at the end of April, He stated his roof had developed a leak after a hail storm in 4/25/He also said, his son had climbed into attic and told Mr*** that leak had been happening for along time. I went to the ***
residence on 1st week in May to check the leakIt happened to rain and saw that leak coming in through chimneyI told his wife & him that in my professional opinion, since leak had just started after the big hail storm the hail most likely broke the seal of the flashingIt wasn't due to my workmanship because chimmy hadn't leaked during years prior to hail stormI did tell him I would go back to fix it but I also suggested for them to call their insurance companyI have one more case exactly like his and insurance gave that claim a new roof due to hail damage and roof was only year old. I would suggest again that "The ***'s" contact their insurance company 1st before doing any repairs. Thank You,***'s Roofing

I am rejecting this response because:there was no hail storm that I know of.none of my neighbors have any hail damage or have had any roofs repaired in years{that I know of}mr *** came to inspect my roof for a leak and he told my wife that he did not see any signs of a leak,and that he would come back the following week with an employee to do what he called a water leak test spraying water from a garden hose in order to find a leak.at that time it began to rain hard and mr *** went back in the attic and came back down and informed my wife that he did find the leak and would be back the following week to repair the leak.he has not came back to repair the leak and would not return my phone calls,even when I told him the water was coming through my interior ceiling.I tried to get him to come fix the leak before it caused any more damage.so if he said that there was hail damage how could he determine that since he did not go on the roof,but only look in the attic where I set up a ladder for him to use and why isn't there any signs of hail damage.if he told my wife to call our insurance company,why would he say he would do a water leak test or after seeing where the leak was that he would be back the following week to repair the leak.so if you notice his response to my complaint,he keeps referring me as mr ***.maybe he has me confused with a different customer

After further review of my notes of ALL my phone calls, messages, and responsesI received 1st call from Mr*** on 5-12-15, about roof leakI responded 5-13-am and met with his wife for over an hour1st thing I did was set up latter and climbed on wet roof to inspect chimney area due to conversation with Mr*** on phone from day beforeI didn't see any visual damage, shingles looked intact As I went inside where Mrs*** showed me where they found water on counterI took a quick picture of ceiling with phone cos there was no water stain yet that dayAfter further conversation with Mrs*** she told me how she could hear the hail hitting rooftop on the day of hail storm 4-25-I did tell her I would come do a water hose test around chimney areaAs I remained at residence house conversation with Mrs*** I saw a big rain cloud approachingSo I climbed into attic a saw leak around chimneyI did tell her I could fix it but it would be a couple of weeks before I came backIn my second conversation with Mr*** over phone that day 5-13-I told him the same thingI truly apologize to the ***'s for not being able to come to a reasonable conclusion about "bad workmanship" and "hail damage" Water leaks due to poor workmanship result quickly after roof repair on installmentIn this case it has occurred yrs aftr roof instalatin and a big hail stormHail storm damage repairs havebeen reported in Oakfeilds, Abrego Lake, Shannon Ridge, Brentwood subdivisions which are all in line with the area that Mr*** livesIf you call any insurance company or ABC roofing which is a major shingle distributor and ask about hail storm in April and about adjusters going to residence in Wilson county and surrounding counties they will confirm the hail storm.
